How to Make a Quilt Sandwich

I'm sure you'll appreciate the effort involved.Move the couch back and clear a space on the floor. Vacuum

As this Fourth of July loomed, I found myself increasingly taken with the idea of doing something French to celebrate American Independence Day. Why? Do I have some perverse desire to infuriate legions of freedom-friers? On the contrary, I think it is because most Americans have either forgotten, or were never aware, of the debt we owe the French for our success in the Independence struggle.

This Mothers Day, I am a mother to my kids; and yet I am also a child, a daughter of my Mom. However, instead of my mom taking care of me, it's me "taking care" of her, while I take care of my kids.On one hand, it's not a big deal. This should be a natural thing. McDonald's Lobster Sandwich.
Yes, this actually exists. On an excursion through some New England states I practically drove off the road when I first saw a sign advertising lobster at this fast food chain. I just had to get a closer look. That's when I discovered that this unique sandwich is served only at select McDonald's locations, mostly in Maine, for a limited time only during the summer months. It's basically a lobster salad served on a hoagie roll with some lettuce, but with fresh Maine lobster, is quite tasty.Since you can't get this anywhere else, I figured this sandwich was a prime candidate for kitchen cloning. Here's a recipe to make a version of your own that has never before been published.1\2 cup cooked Maine Lobster (fresh is best)1\2 tablespoon mayonnaisepinch salt1 lettuce leafsmall hoagie roll1. Wendy's Spicy Chicken Fillet Sandwich.
There once was a time when Wendy's offered this sandwich for a "limited time only." Apparently the tasty zing from this breaded chicken sandwich won it many loyal customers and a permanent place on the fast food chain's menu. Now you can re-create the spicy kick of the original with a secret blend of spices in the chicken's crispy coating. Follow the same stacking order as the original, and you've just made 4 sandwich clones at a fraction of the cost of the real thing.6 to 8 cups vegetable oil1/3 cup Frank's Original Red Hot Pepper Sauce2/3 cup water1 cup all-purpose flour2 1/2 teaspoons salt4 teaspoons cayenne pepper1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper1 teaspoon onion powder1/2 teaspoon paprika1/8 teaspoon garlic powder4 chicken breast fillets4 plain hamburger buns8 teaspoons mayonnaise4

Random Lunch Snapshot: Annie’s Italian Pork Sandwich
I originally committed to “Random Dinner Snapshots,” but I’m having a problem with it. We eat dinner around 6:00 or 6:30, and the date changes on Wordpress at 7:00. In other words, if I photograph dinner, actually sit down with the family and eat like a civilized and genteel parental exemplar, by the time I’m ready to post its the “next day” and I have missed the deadline for my daily post. For that reason, I decided to do a “Random Lunch Snapshot” today. We had leftover pork chops from last night’s dinner, which had been marinated in Giada di Laurentiis’ Basil Dressing, and pan-fried in olive oil. I also had half a loaf of Italian bread, Provolone, fresh Rosemary, and all the stuff I always have (olive oil, onions, garlic, butter and salt). Here’s what I made: Annie’s Italian Pork Sandwich (Serves 2, unless you are emerging from a long fast or have just run a marathon) 1 thick, boneless, cooked pork chop halve

      Making The Perfect Turkey Sandwich
If you are like most Americans, then you love the Thanksgiving Feast, and you probably love the Turkey Sandwiches that you have for the weeks after, using up all the leftovers. In fact, some Americans admit to buying two turkeys and cooking the second one just to save for Sandwiches later - our family has been doing this for years now and it is a tradition within a tradition, but now the secret is out. It is smart to have two-Turkeys anyway, just in case you run out.The average Turkey has quite a bit of meat on it and that means leftovers. When making a turkey sandwich you need to me very methodical and you need to pay attention to the ingredients. Some Turkey Sandwich eaters are purists and well, that is okay. A purist Turkey Sandwich eater will use real Mayonnaise, seasoning salt and of course the main ingredient; Turkey. Others find that it tastes better with extras such as:Lettuce,Avocado,Sprouts,Slice of Cranberry,Tomato,Swiss Cheese,Onions,Pickles Still others put on a little stu

      Sandwich Anyone?
Oh my god. A few days ago this guy from Henrys gave my husband a huge bag of all different types of bread that was almost to it’s sell date. In turn we have been eating lots of sandwiches on this tasty deluxe bread. Today was no different, I made myself a ham and cheese with lettuce and poppyseed dressing. It was delicious. My husband came home for lunch and exclaimed “oh, that looks tasty!” I replied with “well, let me make you one baby!” I proceed to the kitchen like the good wife that I am to make my hard working husband a sandwich. I cut the bread open, distribute the cheese, and go to put the ham on only to notice the ham is full of mold! White and green growing all over the just bought ham that I had just finished eating! I just bought this ham so it should not be growing things but forget that because I just hate a huge ham sandwich. I have consumed moldy ham and I am not pleased. Share This

      The Sandwich Condiment Test
The year was 1994, my first year living in the foreign land known as New Jersey. This is a strange place that greets travelers in the north with the wonderful smell of oil refineries. There is a monster that lives in the swamps in the south, and he’s got night vision goggles so he is good at avoiding humans. But that is another story for another day. It was my first dinner with my girlfriend’s parents. It is always a big deal when you first meet the parents but I had no idea of the ‘Test’ that I would soon face. Apparently, her family has this way of weeding out prospective suitors with a simple yet complex decision. Answer wisely, or the consequences are dire. Dinner is served and you must make a choice: mayonnaise or miracle whip. For some unknown reason, this family also liked to serve sandwiches a lot. But I digress. I never realized the pressure a simple condiment choice brought. I had always treated it as a mood thing. Today I might feel like mustard on my ham sa

      Capital S - Sandwich
Jordan M. sent in this submission for a hoagie, cosmo, grinder, poor boy, hero, sub sandwich. Whatever you call it, this thing is of epic proportions. Don't let their innocent smiles fool you into a false sense of security. These two boys passed into manhood after eating this heart clogging seven pound baby. What would you put on a sub to grow hair on your chest? Turkey? Mustard? Those are the ingredients of children and the infirm. How about ham, salami, roast beef, bacon (the true meat of the gods), 2 kinds of cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and hot sauce. But wait ... there's one more ... BEEF JERKY! That's right, these two well preserved men (for they are MEN now) gnawed their way through beef freakin' jerky. Most men would cry at the thought, but not these two. The only way this could have been better is if it had been made out of sand and an actual witch. Verdict: EPIC * Note: The sandwich is so brilliant it can't be looked at directly. In fac

Peach Malai (Cream) Sandwich with Kulfi on the side
I have been exposed to so many different kinds of fruits after coming to the US, and this gave me ample opportunities as a chef to try new combinations and variations using these fruits. From delicious berries to juicy nectarines and peaches, it has been a long journey, and I'm just halfway trying out all the options out there! So as peaches seem to be moving out of the Farmer's Markets, I decided to try something fancy with them before they ran out of season. I paired it with bread and cream to make a beautiful yet simple Sandwich with Peach and Mixed-Fruit filling and served it with the Peach Kulfi to make this complete dessert dish that you see!!This is my contribution to the AFAM-Peach Event (click on the logo on the side) that we are hosting on this blog this month. You have 2 more days to meet the deadline. So get cooking and send in your lovely peach entries if you haven't already!!IngredientsMalai Sandwich12 slices of regular white bread1/4th cup almond slices1/4th cup pista

Black Cat Bones - Barbed Wire Sandwich (1969)
A Black Cat Bones angol blues-rock banda 1966-ban alakult Londonban. A nagylemez készítői: Rod Price - guitar, vocal; Phil Lenoir - drums; Stu Brooks - bass; Brian Short - vocal; Derek Brooks - guitar.Death Valley BluesA számok:1.
