Magnolia, AK (ThaLunatic Daily) -- Donna Sanders, a 46 year old teacher at Magnolia Junior High School in Magnolia, Arkansas has been arrested on allegations that she rented motel rooms for 12 and 13 year old students to have sex with two boys and an adult.Police have charged Sanders with 12 counts of permitting abuse of a minor and 12 counts of accomplice to rape.According to police, Sanders rented motel rooms in El Dorado for the girls, left them alone there and then returned the next day to pick them up. I was flipping through YouTube today and I stumbled onto some old footage of Barry Sanders. I figured I would share it with you, and while I was at it, start a new series. I’ll call it Fantasy Football Hall of Fame. Barry was a difference maker on fantasy football teams. When you saw him on your opponents team you know he could go off big time. Although, back in the day, Barry wasn’t the type of back that would be drafted number one overall, we was a solid first round pick most years. This said more about the team he played on more than about his ability. He just didn’t get the goal line opportunities of annual first picks like Emmitt Smith. Barry was (is) exciting to watch because he could make pro-bowl defenders look silly. The other thing I remember about Barry is he would have like 10 carries for 5 yards in the first half but then come out and rip of a few 50 to 70 yarders in the second half. I thought Colonel Sanders was long dead and according to  Wikipedia he is dead. However, I just saw the man. I was in the Atlanta airport when my friend said look over there. Right in front of me stood Colonel Sanders. He had the white suit. The string tie. The white hair and a briefcase with a Kentucky Fried Chicken sticker on it. This was no imposter it was the Colonel. I can only come to the conclusion that the “secret recipe” is some modern day fountain of youth. Of course in this case it is not literally a fountain but 12 magic herbs and spices that will keep the Colonel alive forever.  He saw me snap the photo and as you can tell he looks kind of angry.  I thought it wise not to provoke him any further and headed toward my gate.

I tried out Sanders Milk Chocolate Caramels and loved them, so I had really high hopes for their dessert toppings. Sanders sent over two jars for sampling: Cinnamon Pear Caramel and Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge. I finally picked up some vanilla ice cream, and to keep the tasting simple, I didn’t add any other toppings. No nuts, no cherries, no sprinkles. I tried out the Cinnamon Pear Caramel first, dipping a small spoon into the jar and drizzling the topping over my ice cream. Not being a professional, my attempt at drizzling wasn’t very neat, but it did show off how pourable the topping is. I was expecting a harder battle to get the stuff out of the jar. My first spoonful of ice cream and caramel tasted almost like pumpkin pie. I could definitely make out the cinnamon, but the pear flavor isn’t strong at all, just something subtly fruity and sweet underlying everything else. I really loved this on ice cream, and I’m glad I tried it out “plain” first.
