Kim Ki-Duk's Samaria (Samaritan Girl) is both visually and narratively stunning. Making his characters observe each other, like one of his latest efforts Bin-Jip, Samaria is a film of beautiful silence, with not much dialogue, but at the same time saying so much through other means. Combining silence with violence and showing two young girls sharing a deep friendship in which they would do anything for each other, Samaria is heartbreaking. It's a film every film buff will appreciate. Ki-Duk once again puts his characters central, observing the ways they deal with secrets and trying to make peace with the way faith seems to have come into their lives and the lives of loved once, not always having the outcome our destiny they hoped for. Sofi Tsedaka is an Israeli singer of Samaritan descent, and this article tells a bit about her background:TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) - A mainstream pop album is an unlikely place to encounter an ancient tongue known to a total of 705 people in the Holy Land. Other tracks sample the unique rhythms and whooping

In response to the leading of the Holy Spirit, she began reaching out to women in the slums just five minutes from her home. For Joshy, the story of Jesus and the woman at the well in Samaria has inspired her “to share God’s love in this Samaria.” Since that one conversation with Jesus changed a woman’s life, she started introducing women to Jesus so that He would change their lives, too.Isaiah 55:13 has inspired her -Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD'S renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed. One day a woman came to her because her son had been hanged by the mafia in the slums. The women’s group began to pray for the salvation of this man. Two years later, a Christian man brought this murderer to church and he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. God had answered their prayers!Afte
