Kejaksaan Agung akhirnya menetapkan Muhammad Farella sebagai Direktur Penyidikan pada Jaksa Agung Muda Tindak Pidana Khusus Kejaksaan Agung (Dirdik Jampidsus). Ia menggantikan M. Salim yang diberhentikan karena kasus dugaan suap jaksa BLBI.

In his first meeting since the Nandigram fiasco on March 14, 2007, that claimed 14 lives, Indonesia-based Salim group chief executive Benny Santoso met West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Thursday and formally announced that the group agreed to relocate the chemical hub and special economic zone projects, but the alternative location would be subject to a feasibility study.The alternative location is to be selected by the state government, which has appointed Mott McDonald, an engineering and development consultancy, to identify a new location.Explaining the reason for a feasibility study, Prasoon Mukherjee, Santoso's India representative, said, "We have to be sure the alternative location is suitable for the project."Mukherjee is one of the promoters of New Kolkata International Development Pvt Ltd, in which the Salim group has a 40 per cent stake.Indonesia News Blog: http://indosnesos.blogspot.com
Long jumper Salim Sdiri of France suffered only a minor wound on his side when he was hit by a javelin during Friday night's Golden League athletics meet, organizers said. Sdiri sustained a three-centimetres wound but no internal injuries when hit in the freak accident by the javelin thrown by Tero Pitkamaki of Finland.Pitkamaki, the European championship silver medallist, said he felt "very bad" about the incident. "My only wish is that the long jumper is ok. And I hope that it was just a scratch. After the March 14 violence in Nandigram and changes in the central government’s SEZ policy, Indonesia’s Salim Group has decided to revise business plans for its twin SEZ projects in the state. The group has also decided to set up the chemical industrial SEZ at a “politically-correct location” in a clear bid to make the process hassle-free. Salim Group’s proposed projects will be executed by New Kolkata International Development (NKID) — a special purpose vehicle jointly formed by the Salim Group, Prasun Mukherjee’s Universal Success and Unitech. NKID proposes to implement Rs 30,000 crore of infrastructure projects in the state.
The twin projects of the Indonesia-based Salim group — a chemical hub and a multi-product SEZ — are likely to be split over two locations, following the government’s decision to relocate from Nandigram in West Bengal in the aftermath of an incident earlier this month that left 15 villagers dead. The West Bengal government is likely to shift the chemical hub project to Haldia since it requires proximity to a port.
It can now be told . The length of 'Salaam-E-Ishq' had always been a concern for it's makers . Around the time its first copy was to be out , the producers showed it to Salim Khan ( of salim-Javed fame) to take an objective opinion . The veteran writer was frank enough to say that if anything could be deleted , it was his younger son Sohail Khan's entire track because , according to him ,it was not connected with other tracks in the film. However , since Sohail Khan and Isha Kopikar's scenes provided comic relief in the film ,the makers did not delete them . Anyway , that apart , one needs to admire Salim Khan because it requires a great deal of objectivity to be able to say that the scenes of one's own son need to be deleted to improve the pace of a film .
