Zogby claims in their latest poll that Hillary Clinton should pack it up and go home, because she's been spanked.Sorry Hillary, just call it a day. Refund the campaign money, sell the extra pantsuits, because Zogby has the truth!According to Zogby's "scientific results," Hillary Clinton trailed "Lying Weasel" McCain 42 percent to 38 percent, "9/11" Giuliani by 43 percent to 40 percent, and "Strap my dog to the roof of a car and drive 80 mph" Romney by 43 percent to 40 percent. Also in a major surprise, the movie I Heart Huckabee's knocked off Hillary by 44 to 39 percent margin, and Fred Thompson's Law and Order character (Not Fred himself, strangely he wasn't in the poll) defeated Hillary 44 to 40 percent in polls conducted by Zogby.Of course, Zogby failed to mention that A) Zogby is an ancient Sanskrit term for "snake oil salesman", B) Zogby ignores poll results and spits out whatever headline they prefer, and C) This poll cast one bark as a vote for the Republican candidate and t
Saddam Hussein: Cried when FBI interrogator went home Living in a hush-hush prison cell inside Baghdad International Airport after his capture in a Tikrit spider hole, ex-Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was a study in megalomania for the FBI agents tasked to interrogate the despot. He was obsessive about cleanliness, constantly washing his hands with baby wipes - just like those used by most American G.I.s - and even used them to polish the fruit his military captors delivered. Though jailed and facing...(read more)
Saddam Hussein was prepared to take $1 billion and go into exile before the Iraq war, according to a transcript of talks between U.S. President George W. Bush and an ally, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported on Wednesday. During a meeting at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, on February 22, 2003, Bush told former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar that Saddam could also be assassinated, according to the transcript published in El Pais in Spanish. The Egyptians are speaking to Saddam Hussein. It seems he's indicated he would be prepared to go into exile if he's allowed to take $1 billion and all the information he wants about weapons of mass destruction," Bush was quoted as saying at the meeting one month before the U.S.-led invasion. Asked by Aznar whether Saddam could really leave, Bush replied: "Yes, that possibility exists. Or he might even be assassinated."Spokesperson Dana Perino was asked about the transcript published this week by the Spanish newspaper El Pais. It purports to
Wyatt was "willing" to pay oil surcharge, witness says|A former Iraqi oil company official, testifying in Oscar Wyatt's fraud and conspiracy trial, said he was in a meeting where the Houston oilman was haggling over how much of a surcharge he would pay to buy Iraqi crude. Wyatt, 83, is accused of funneling millions of dollars in illegal surcharges or kickbacks to Saddam Hussein's regime under the United Nations' oil-for-food program. Charged with fraud, conspiracy and violating U.S. sanctions, Wyatt could be sentenced to 74 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Wyatt contends all his dealings with the Iraqis were lawful. Mubdir Al-Khudhair, a former manager with Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization, is the first witness since the trial started early this month whose testimony has tied Wyatt to surcharges. Al-Khudhair told the jury he was in a meeting in January 2001 where Wyatt was negotiating the purchase of some Iraqi crude and expressed "his willingness to pay the surc

As unbelievable as it seems, Saddam Hussein is alive. Our government attempted to cover the incident up, but somehow this amazing video surfaced earlier today.
The coincidence is amazing, but could this have anything to do with the discovery of the tomb containing the remains of Jesus Christ which proves that he was never actually resurrected? Is it possible that Hussein was resurrected as some sort of sign? Be warned, the video is shocking.

Saddam Hussein, former President of Iraq and ally of the United States, died on December 30, 2006 around 6:00 a.m. local time near Baghdad, at the beginning of the Sunni observance of Second Eid. Saddam Hussein, former dictator of Iraq, torturer, rapist-by-proxy, murderer of children, user of weapons of mass destruction, was executed on December 30, 2006 by hanging, pursuant to the laws of the new Iraq. President Bush is reported to have said that justice has been done. Reactions, other than in Iraq, where people had and have a real stake in the life and death of this man, are fairly predictable: the end point tends to be predetermined by where the opiner begins. Thus Europeans, generally opposed to the death penalty, decried the execution as unjust, while the United States, a death-penalty nation, proclaimed it a day when justice prevailed. As always, what we see depends quite a bit on where we stand. But why should we in these United States care? The short answer is
This is a leaked video of the execution of former Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein last December 30 taken using a camera phone. The execution took place more than three years after his capture, on December 13, 2003. He was sentenced to death by the Iraq Special Tribunal, for crimes against humanity on November 5, 2006. His final appeal was dismissed on December 26, 2006, and the execution was carried out four days later at an Iraqi military base in Kadhimiya, known as Camp Justice.Up to the very last moment, Saddam Hussein remained unfazed and defiant, smiling and talking, reciting the Shahadah, amidst all the supposed taunts coming from the onlookers. The prison guard who allegedly took this video has been subsequently arrested. Since then, this clip has been aired on Al-Jazeera television and has circulated freely on the internet.Given the graphic nature of the content, viewer discretion is strongly advised.Note:Turn off the background audio first at the bottom of the page before clickin

Last night while we were ringing in the New Year with our new friends Josh Case and his wife Laura, Josh and I stepped aside to see if we could find news/video of the lastest on Saddam.
Josh had told me that someone had a video in the room when Saddam was killed and he taped the whole thing. The mentioned tape had apparently made it to Youtube, so after the night had picked up and the ladies were cooking we sat down to find the video. I don’t know why, probably curiosity mixed with the idea that it was hard to believe the events of the past week. The Godfather of Soul, A former President, and now a famous Dictator all died in a weeks time. This, on top of the fact that Josh and Laura had just arrived here after attending a funeral of a close person in Josh’s life.
All of this piled up and I guess we were just thinking about death. So we watched Saddam’s life end.
When I was in 4th grade I remember rumors about Saddam, the rumor that I remember most was that his hea

This execution was "shadier than a forest", as my chum Mark Armstrong is fond of saying.
Now the Asian Tribune reports:
The decision to send Hussein to the gallows was not a judicial but a political one. It was signaled by al-Maliki himself after the death sentence was pronounced by a special tribunal on November 5, when the Iraqi prime minister declared that Hussein would be executed before
As if shit over there wasn't already hotter than hell.
Is this justice? Is this what we are bringing to Iraq?
You can see some of the pre-execution in the clip below, which shows the noose being put around his neck. I have yet to find video of the actual deed.
All I know is I wouldn't mind seeing George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney face the same fate. Fuck 'em.

It seems like only yesterday that Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, was found hiding in a hole in the ground and put on trial for mass murder. Today, following his conviction, he was executed…and will shortly end up back in a hole in the ground…where he belongs.

Saddam lost his appeal and will be hanged within 30 days even though there are serious questions about the fairness of his trial.
The State Department has said it believes the trial met international standards of fairness.
Are “international standards” what we aspire to follow? I thought the missions was to create a “democracy” based on our values. Apparently, the means justifies the end.
New York-based Human Rights Watch, an independent advocacy group that opposed the death penalty, said in a Nov. 20 report that executing Hussein before further cases are heard will deny thousands of victims a chance to testify about other alleged crimes.
The group, which called the first Dujail trial “fundamentally flawed,'’ says the prosecution failed to disclose evidence to the defense in advance and denied defendants the right to confront witnesses. Human Rights Watch also says there were “gaps in the evidence'’ that undermined t
The White House said the timing of the announcement, two days before Election Day, had nothing to do with American politics and had been dictated by the Iraqi court. But Mr. Bush moved quickly to put it to use in what has been his central strategic imperative over the past week, trying to rouse Republican voters to turn out.
"Today we witnessed a landmark event in the history of Iraq: Saddam Hussein was convicted and sentenced to death by the Iraqi High Tribunal," Mr. Bush said to roars of approval in a hockey auditorium packed with supporters in Grand Island, Neb. "Saddam Hussein's trial is a milestone in the Iraqi people's efforts to replace the rule of a tyrant with the rule of law"
Gas prices are at the lowest level we’ve seen in quite a while and Saddam is about to be hanged. My only thought is that Bush has no shame and will do anything to accomplish his agenda. It would be nice if the American people were fully informed of just what this agenda is
Death penalty for Saddam Hussein
Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been convicted of crimes against humanity by a Baghdad court and sentenced to death by hanging.
He was found guilty over his role in the killing of 148 people in the mainly Shia town of Dujail in 1982.
His brother Barzan al-Tikriti was also sentenced to death, as was Iraq’s former chief judge Awad Hamed al-Bander
Former vice-president Taha Yassin Ramadan got life in jail and three others received 15 year prison terms.
Another co-defendant, Baath party official Mohammed Azawi Ali, was acquitted.
Saddam Hussein shouted out “Allahu Akbar!” (God is Greatest) and “Long live Iraq. Long live the Iraqi people!” after the judge announced the verdict.
Correspondents say the former leader looked visibly shocked as the sentence was passed, but the BBC’s world affairs editor John Simpson said that as he was led away Saddam Hussein seemed to have a small smile on his face.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Saddam Hussein and two other men were convicted and sentenced Sunday to death by hanging for war crimes in the 1982 killings of 148 people in the town of Dujail, as the former leader, trembling, shouted "God is great!"
After the verdict was read, Saddam yelled out, "Long live the people and death to their enemies. Long live the glorious nation, and death to its enemies!"
Clashes immediately broke out in north Baghdad's heavily Sunni Azamiyah district.
Saddam initially refused the chief judge's order to rise; two bailiffs lifted the ousted ruler to his feet and he remained standing through the sentencing.
Before the hearing began, one of Saddam's lawyers, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, was ejected from the courtroom after handing the judge a memorandum in which he called the trial a travesty.
Chief Judge Raouf Abdul-Rahman pointed to Clark and said in English, "Get out."
In addition to the former Iraqi dictator and Barzan Ibrahim, his form
Isn’t that special, 2 days before our elections, Saddam Hussein will be sentenced. Gee, do you think that is a coincidence? Tony Snow does!
“Are you smoking dope?” Snow laughed when asked if US and Iraqi officials colluded to issue the verdict on Sunday to help supporters of President George W. Bush running for office.
“Are you telling me that in Iraq, that they’re sitting around … that the Iraqi judicial system is coming up with (a last-minute electoral) surprise?
Next he’ll be telling us this is just an example of Iraq’s functioning democracy.
“We’re talking about an Iraq that can sustain, defend and govern itself, and you see — we’ve seen progress when it comes on the military side, not only the Iraqi security forces … but also an independent judiciary.
“These are things that are absolutely vital to building a democracy that will not only sustain itself, but have the faith and support
Saddam Hussein played hangman today and lost. His execution was ordered to occur within 30 days of his sentence but the U.S. and Iraq wasted no time in making sure this guy got the noose around the neck. I've yet to come across the video of him flopping around like a fish out of water, but when I do find it, I'll post it for everyones viewing pleasure./ was going to title this "Saddam Hussein is hung"// didn't want to go there.
By TRACEY SMITHJustaTrace.netThis isn't my normal column, Constant Reader. That will still run on Sunday as planned. But, once again, I find myself disturbed in the middle of the night. And the only way I can overcome it is by typing.I got the news that Saddam Hussein was hanged about 9:10 pm CST last evening. I was sitting in the Situation Room and I was expecting it. If ever there was a good argument for capital punishment, I suppose Saddam would be the perfect poster child. Here's what unnerves me, though: within seconds, the major news networks were promising video tape of the actual execution.I am a journalist at heart, and I realize the more you tell and show the people the better...But, didn't Geraldo Rivera learn his lesson back in January of 1977 when he "covered" the Utah execution by firing squad of convicted killer Gary Gilmore? As he was leaping over razor wire fences and dodging prison guards, I can still remember Geraldo, dressed in a dandy leather jacket, shouting to hi
