Aside from the intelligent take on many recent movies, the film reviewers are excellent writers- not only are the articles insightful and informative, they are also entertaining and offer unique perspectives on how films were made, how the actors portrayed the roles and other technicalities I have yet to discover about movies.
One of the most awaited film (in my list, anyway and I guess in many film lovers) is The Kite Runner (http://themovie-fanatic.com/kite_runner.htm) and I absolutely looked forward to seeing the review at the NY Times. To my big disappointment, the reviewer Ms. Darghis failed to impress.
