David Exley realizing he is a fucking idiotA plan by Kirklees BNP to intimidate local antifascists failed miserably this weekend leaving copious amounts of egg on the face of Heckmondwike BNP councillor David Exley.Hope not Hate Yorkshire in conjunction with Kirklees Unity called a day of action on Sunday 9th of March specifically for the Heckmondwike ward in Kirklees.Heckmondwike has two sitting BNP councillors,Roger Roberts who defected from the Conservatives after repeated failures under the Tory ticket and the aforementioned David Exley. It seems Exley took particular exception to the day of action as he is up for re-election this year and is obviously worried about possibly losing his job.Local intelligence revealed that the BNP intended to harass the Anti fascists and also counter lea
Rustem:Dumb and DumberWhen the BNP turned up at Harold Hill railway station on a rainy Sunday morning they were hoping to intimidate campaigners from the anti-fascist community group Redbridge and Epping Forest Together, who included Searchlight’s publisher Gerry Gable.London taxi driver Jason Douglas, who is general factotum to the BNP candidate in next Thursday’s by election in Gooshays ward, Havering, drove up in his red hackney cab. Unfortunately no one managed to check whether it was displaying the full road fund licence that permits use other than for hire. The candidate, Mark Logan, was there in the company of some real knuckle-dragging specimens, a couple of dowdy women and the man with the biggest gob in London, Barking and Dagenham BNP councillor Lawrence Rustem. Two trade unio
The board that oversees FAMU appears headed for new leadership. The state Senate is unlikely to confirm Trustees Chairwoman Challis Lowe for another term on the bitterly divided Board of Trustees, opening the door for a new chair and a swing in the board's balance of power.
State Sen. Steve Oelrich, R-Gainesville, told the St. Petersburg Times Tuesday his committee will dedicate the entirety of its last meeting next week to issues of campus security - in the wake of shootings at Virginia Tech - and won't have time to deal with executive appointments. Oelrich chairs the higher education committee, one of two committees that must confirm Lowe in order for her to continue serving. Without such approval, Lowe's term on the board will end when the legislative session concludes May 4.
Lowe, who is an executive vice president for Dollar General Corp., was out of the country Tuesday and could not be reached for comment. But the decision by key senators to not schedule her for confirmation
Rus Thompson has collected over 6,000 signatures to date for removal of the Grand Island Bridge Tolls. Sam Hoyt (D - Buffalo, Grand Island) claims to be championing the cause, but is he effective?
Well, not really. If Mr. Hoyt was an effective legislator, this whole “Take Down The Tolls” fight would not be ongoing. For 7 years he has admitted to introducing legislation to take down the tolls, but to no avail. The toll booths leading to Grand Island have been a burning issue with the residents of the area for a long time, and it certainly sounds good when a candidate says, “I have been leading the fight for you guys on the tolls. I’ll keep introducing legislation until they come down.” That rhetoric will continue to get votes for a while, but sooner or later, it will begin to look silly.
Ms. Iannello is a new county legislator, having just been sworn to office in January, 2007, following her previous tenure as a Village of Kenmore trustee. While s
The folks at http://ipopmyphoto.com/samples.adp wouldn't do this collage of photos which would have been called "iAdam iJump" for the regular price of $19.95. They said it is really 5 photos to be done. I even offered twice the money. I ended up using a family photo of 4 people to try to get my money's worth. Then again, the collage is fantastic the way it is, after I clean up the edges a bit.
