BASIC:1. to be very low on energy, exhausted or have a low immune system. This is a temporary condition from not getting enough rest. It is only used for people. It is used as a description and is not conjugated.
examples: If you let yourself get run down, you are more likely to get sick.
2. in a state of neglect, or poor condition. This is used for things, usually buildings.
examples: The price on that house is low because it is so run down. It probably needs a lot of remodeling besides new paint.

So yesterday at work, Panda (His new nickname cos he’s hairy, big-boned and sits around eating all-day) was being his usual miserable self. For some reason I found myself sneezing all bloody day which was a bit of a ball-ache. And then when I got home to watch Prison Break, I found ymself feeling really run down and tired. Think thats partyl down to going to the gym, but not eating properly! I dont do breakfast, and sometimes miss dinner too, but have a few snacks through out the day from the vending machine, then get home, and if its a late session at the gym, I’ll have some toast or something, so i’m not sick when doing the stomach exercises. Guess what? I lost 5 lbs this week. I went to the gym every day before work, hired a woman to cook low fat meals because I am always saying that I am too busy to cook and on Monday I’m meeting with a personal trainer.
