I think that we have all seen enough corruption in Washington to last several life times. Apparently Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani hopes to continue the filthy way the government now operates. Yesterday in Iowa, he had this to say about spending in Washington:While he said repeatedly that government spending should be reduced, Giuliani said military spending is one part of the budget that should be increased. "I don't think we ever made up for the peace dividend we took in the 1990s," he said. Invoking Ronald Reagan, he said military spending sends a message to countries like China and Russia: "We need to say it doesn't make sense to get into an arms race with the United States."I'm sure the Republicans were quick to applaud his tough guy stance on defense and his calls for increased spending. After reading an article in Time today, one must wonder if the following is the real reason that he supports increased defense spending. Not long after he stepped down as mayor

(From Dept. of Records, NYC Gov.) In 1944, Rudolph W. Giuliani was born to a working class family in Brooklyn, New York. As the grandson of Italian immigrants, Mayor Giuliani learned a strong work ethic and a deep respect for America's ideal of equal opportunity. He attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School (Class of '61) in Brooklyn, Manhattan College (Class of '65) in the Bronx and New York University Law School in Manhattan, graduating magna cum laude in 1968.Upon graduation, Rudy Giuliani clerked for Judge Lloyd MacMahon, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. In 1970, Giuliani joined the office of the U.S. Attorney. At age 29, he was named Chief of the Narcotics Unit and rose to serve as executive US Attorney. In 1975, Giuliani was recruited to Washington, D.C., where he was named Associate Deputy Attorney General and chief of staff to the Deputy Attorney General. From 1977 to 1981, Giuliani returned to New York to practice law at Patterson,

It looks like former New York City mayor and presidential candidate, Rudy Giuliani is rooting for the Yankees, after he felt it was prudent to root for the Red Sox in the World Series. Now, it looks like he's back to being a Yankee fan. Asked Sunday how he feels that the New York Yankees and third baseman Alex Rodriguez are on the cusp of finalizing a $275 million, 10-year contract, the Republican presidential candidate broke into a wide smile and said he was thrilled."My take on A-Rod? "If you give up a player like A-Rod, you've got a lot of rebuilding to do."Giuliani's affinity for the Yankees is no secret.and... So on Sunday, it wasn't exactly a surprise that amid questions on oil prices and push polling, a conversation with Giuliani turned to Rodriguez's pending deal."Negotiations are complex in baseball and everyplace else," Giuliani said. It’s not the purpose of this blog to talk about politics. However, there have recently been some outrageous press comments made about Qatar. These started after it emerged Rudy Gulliano has a security contract with the Qatar petroleum, protecting a gas processing facility, and I couldn't resist the urge to comment. This really has been some ridiculous press: Rudy Giuliani's Al Qaeda Connection? screams Radar Online, while the All Spin Zone maintains that "old Rudy Guiliani has huge connections to Al Qaeda" and that he "claims to fight terrorism while cozying up to the terrorists".The accusations of connections to Al Qaeda are based on events that took place in 1996, six years before the start of Rudy Giulani's contact with Qatar Petroleum. An Al Qaeda terrorist was hiding out in Qatar, and it is alleged that a sympathiser based in the government gave the terrorist the nod before he could be arrested. The unsubstantiated allegations may or may not be true, although Qatar strongly den
Rudy Giuliani vs. Ron Paul on 9/11. [video 4:34]If you put up a Ron Paul video, you hear both sides, you read both sides--there seems to be no middle ground on Dr. Paul. No comments or emails are ever received which say "Oh, I don't know how I feel about Ron Paul".I hear people swear by Ron Paul; I hear others swear at him.So, putting up any video invites attacks, even though most posters are passionate, yet perfectly civil. We thought this video would be a good illustration of the "No Middle Ground About Ron Paul" Theory. It's the famous exchange between Paul and Rudy Giuliani at the South Carolina debate earlier this year. It's the entire exchange: most anti-Paul videos cut away at Giuliani's applause. The pro-Paul videos we've seen only show Ron Paul's answer to Rudy.At 4:34, this is the entire back-and-forth between the two men. Ron Paul's Foreign Policy: In the Nutshell, In his Own WordsThe Four-Minute Ron Paul: Love Him or Hate Him If you have heard others arguing about Republican candidate, Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX), you will likely hear two different extremes."Ron Paul is a the real deal American!""Ron Paul is a kook!" Paul, a Republican with strong libertarian leanings is most controversial on issues of U.S. foreign policy. Most especially his stand on the War in Iraq. Dr. Paul--he is a medical doctor--wants to end U.S. involvement immediately and return American troops home. This stand has earned him supporters from both Left and Right. It has also earned him condemnation, mostly from the center and right. There seems to be no middle ground. On other issues, he has a less controversial image. This video is a chance to hear the candidate in his own words, answering questions about U.S. foreign policy on a variety of topics. It's short (3:45) and sweet. It is Ron Paul's foreign policy views in the nuts

Rudy Giuliani has a lot goin for him in this election. He's viewed consistently by the public as a strong leader who will continue to take a strong approach to battling terrorism. This is his biggest strength. His biggest weakness? The concerns over his positions on many social issues. Now, certainly these are valid concerns, as Giuliani is pro-choice on abortion and tends to favor "gay rights" advances. In fact, conservative concerns over these differences could lead to his downfall in the primary or worse yet, a third party candidate should he win the GOP election.I think most Republican and conservative voters realize and appreciate and even desire Rudy's strengths. People understand the importance of those qualities. For many, the balance of the importance of those issues that are his strengths with social issues tips dramatically to his strengths. My advice to Rudy Giuliani now is that he needs to make it known that while he differs from many conservative voters on various

But being mayor in NYC, which means being a flaming [expletive] and occasional authoritarian are not the skills we need in the presidency right now. Received via email RUDY GIULIANI'S ATTACKS ON HILLARY CLINTON HIT HOMEBy DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANNRudy Giuliani has found his groove in attacking Hillary Clinton. Whether his barbs will help him beat her in the general election, we dont know yet. But they will help him to win the Republican primary. The major reason for anyone to vote for Rudy Giuliani is that he has the best chance we would say the only chance to defeat Hillary Clinton. And beating Hillary is very, very, very important! It is only through the terror issue that the Republicans have a chance to win in November, 2008. If Americans retain their current complaisance, the GOP will have no chance at all. On the other issues Iraq, the economy, environment, elderly, Social Security, health care, Medicare, and trade the Democrats have the edge.Taxes, normally a Republican issue, has faded from sight because of Bushs tax cuts. Crime and drugs, also Republican base issues, are gone products of the Clinton/
The above clip reveals a lot about the men speaking. Ron Paul is RINO, and this is evidenced even by the question he was asked in the debate. Attempting to spin his way around the question of whether he or his party is out of sync, he reveals how far left he really is. His ultimate answer to solving the global issue of terrorism is to listen to the terrorists, and, basically, to do what they say so they won't try to attack us again. Does anyone really want a president who asks terrorists what the America should do to make them happy? Then there is Rudy Giuliani, who, I will admit, is earning my favor more and more. Although it was brief, his retort to Ron Paul's assertion was nothing short of Reaganesque, or even Churchillian. Where Winston was a bull dog, it appears that Rudy could be a pit bull, one that feeds on liberal foreign policy. Don't assume that I agree with everything Rudy says, because I don't. However, with the dangers that surround us today (Iran, Al Qaeda, North Kore
I think this is the first time I have quoted my hometown paper in my blog. It is unfortunate that the first time it has to be to point out the bias of the journalist writing the story. Normally the Press Enterprise is a fairly even handed source of news. I have been an on and off subscriber to it for the 20 years I have lived in Riverside. This is a good example of a reporter letting his own political biases creep into the story.PALM SPRINGS - Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani made no effort to differentiate himself from the other Republicans seeking the party's nomination as he spoke Saturday at a national gathering of Republican women. The very first sentence and he is already criticizing Giuliani saying he isnt showing how he is better than other Republican candidates but is just slamming the Democrats. How may times have we seen the Democrat candidates doing nothing but giving each other hand jobs at the debates and trashing the administration? Somehow I doubt Mr. Danelski
A supporter of Rudy Giuliani's threw a party at his Palo Alto, CA home on Wednesday that aims to raise $9.11 per person for the Republican's presidential campaign.According to the invitation, "$9.11 for Rudy" is an "independent, non-denominational grass-roots campaign to raise $10,000 in small increments to show how many individual, everyday Americans support `America's Mayor.'"What a concept. I mean isn't that the only issue of his campaign?
Rudy Giuliani stages a phone call from his wife right during his speech at the NRA, reminding him to pick up milk on the way home. Photo by: REUTERS. Perhaps Democrats would like to face Rudy Giuliani in 2008 more than any other front runner. Giuliani is running on one issue alone and that is September 11 and the lies he is telling along the way would make an excellent target for who ever turns out to be the Democratic nominee. Last weeks events concerning the National Rifle Association highlighted yet again Rudy Giuliani’s use of “truth stretching”. It does not take anyone long to find out that Rudy Giuliani is a liar by searching YouTube.com. If you take what he said last week to the NRA and compare it to his views as mayor of New York City you will see that he either is lying now or he changed his mind. Giuliani claimed that it was, of course, September 11, 2001 that made him change his views on gun control. If that was the case, the video of him from
Is this the only card that this man pulls out over and over? 9-11...9-11...9-11 changed everything...9-11...I'm strong on national security...9-11...I really like guns...Give me a break. Well, there's a new twist to his latest fundraiser. It's called "$9.11 for Rudy" and is the theme of the campaign's "National House Party Night".Critics were quick to denounce this latest tactic. Democratic Presidential candidate Chris Dodd, spoke out strongly on this issue. Dodd called the theme "unconscionable, shameless and sickening". New Mexico Governor and Democratic candidate Bill Richardson said of the fundraiser, "You know, we shouldn't use a tragedy for politics".Naturally once criticism of the event begin to surface, the Giuliani campaign denied any knowledge of the theme. "These are two volunteers who acted independently of and without the knowledge of the campaign," Giuliani spokeswoman Maria Comella said. "Their decision to ask individuals for that amount was an unfortunate choice."I
Even Giuliani fans would have to admit that this was kind of bad form. Seriously, no other candidate takes phone calls in the middle of speeches. Particularly not speeches to so critical a constituency as the NRA is to Giuliani, who very much needs to make peace with gun enthusiasts. The crowd's reaction, as portrayed in the linked video was genrally light-hearted. The NRA's head honcho Wayne LaPierre indicated later that no serious offense was taken. This was a gracefully diplomatic statement on his part. But quite frankly, I would have been offended had I been in the audience. I can't imagine that these members of the NRA, gathered to hear an important political speech, went away more favorably inclined towards Giuliani because of this.Hizzonner really should turn off his cell phone when he's giving a speech in the future -- why hadn't he been doing that already?
It's one thing to defend policies from one's political past. It's another thing, altogether, to respond to criticisms about one's past policies with a legalistic, technical interpretation of the problem that contradicts the sensibilities of the very voters whose support one is courting. That's what Rudy Giuliani did today. On immigration. In response to questions on CNN, Giuliani educated the reporter that an extradition hearing was a civil, not a criminal, matter, and therefore illegal immigration is not a crime. Technically and legally, this is correct. Politically, it's a significant misstep. Republican voters who care about immigration tend to believe that because people they call "illegal immigrants" violated the law to come here, they must be criminals. They will not be pleased to be lectured to the contrary.Hizzonner had a tough hand to play on immigration, and maybe the best he could have hoped for was to break even on the issue. But this looks and sounds bad, and
If he insists on making his campaign solely about terrorism and 9/11 then maybe we should look at exactly what his resume entails. That's exactly what these documentary makers have done with The Real Rudy: Command Center.
Rudy Giuliani is attempting to repeat Bush’s 2004 election strategy of running for president claiming to be the candidate who can best keep us safe from terrorism. We learned that in reality George Bush’s many mistakes have greatly exacerbated the problems of terrorism, and it appears we face the same dangers should Rudy Giuliani be elected. Time Magazine has reviewed Giuliani’s personal characteristics and knowledge of terrorism, providing further warnings about the dangers of electing him:
The evidence also shows great, gaping weaknesses. Giuliani’s penchant for secrecy, his tendency to value loyalty over merit and his hyperbolic rhetoric are exactly the kinds of instincts that counterterrorism experts say the U.S. can least afford right now.
Giuliani’s limitations are in fact remarkably similar to those of another man who has led the nation into a war without end. Some of the Bush Administration’s policies, like improved intelligence sharing betwe

From what I saw all the reporter did was ask some questions. He wasnt excessively confrontational or even rude. The press secreatry had him arrested; I wonder on what charges? I think his shirt is just a bit browner than it looks. After watching the video several times I heard the reporter say he was affiliated with Alex Jones and then later asked if Giuliani knew about the 9-11 attack ahead of time. A New Hampshire woman from Derry recently took a cheap-shot at Rudy Guiliani.
Answering questions at a town-hall meeting, Giuliani was asked why he should expect loyalty from GOP voters when his children aren’t backing him.
To which Guiliani responded:
“I love my family very, very much and will do anything for them. There are complexities in every family in America,” Giuliani said calmly and quietly. “The best thing I can say is kind of, ‘leave my family alone, just like I’ll leave your family alone.’ “
While Rudy’s personal situation, I believe, will end up playing a major role in his run for president, I have one question. Why is it that only Republicans are asked this sort of question? I would love for someone to ask Senator Clinton ” Senator, why should I be loyal to you if your husband isn’t?” Can you image the fallout from that question? She would accuse the right of planting this person there. She w

We have news today regarding the two most hypocritical politicians who are prominent candidates for their party’s nominations. Starting with the nunber one must hypocritical politician, The Boston Globe reports that Rudy Giuliani is constinuing his conservative shift. Giuliani started out with a reputation as a social liberal, but has gradually been changing his views in order to appease the social conservatives who control the Republican Party. Th e article discusses changes in positions on issues such as abortion and assault weapons but concentreates on civil unions:
Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani continues to discard the moderate and liberal positions of his past. The latest is civil unions for same-sex couples, which the Republican presidential candidate has been backing away from in recent months.
A campaign aide told the Globe this weekend that Giuliani favors a much more modest set of rights for gay partners than civil union laws in effect in four states offer.

Rudy Giuliani Discusses His Commitment To Giving Americans Increased Control And Access To Health CareIn remarks today at a town hall meeting in Rochester, New Hampshire, Mayor Rudy Giuliani will further detail his 12 Commitments to the American People by unveiling his commitment to give Americans more control over, and access to, health care.To increase the quality, affordability, and portability of health care, the Mayor will reform the current system by using free-market solutions that facilitate consumer-driven health care and end failed big-government mandates and wasteful administrative bureaucracies.“Americans believe in free-market solutions to the challenges we face, and I believe we can reduce costs, expand access to, and improve the quality of health care by increasing competition,” Giuliani has said. “America’s health care system is being dragged down by decades of government-imposed mandates and wasteful, unaccountable bureaucracy. Well, not literally, but he did manage to completely dodge the question by randomly bringing up homeland security and being mayor during a terrorist attack.
While Rudy Giuliani was in Iowa on Thursday, he was asked about federal support for HIV medications, starting his answer with:
I don’t want to promise you the federal government will take over the role.
He then abruptly shifted the focus of his answer to terrorism:
My general experience has been that the federal government works best when it helps and assists and encourages and sets guidelines; on a state-by-state, locality-by-locality basis. It’s no different from the way I look at homeland security. Maybe having been mayor of the city, I know that your first defense against terrorist attack is that local police station, or that local firehouse.
This reminds me of a certain episode of Family Guy.
Below is an article written by Rudy Giuliani that appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader on July 13th.
The next American President will take office alongside a new generation of world leaders. Few were in office when the attacks of Sept. 11 occurred, but all have been influenced by its impact. This is a moment of rare opportunity for new American leadership.
To succeed in the 21st century, America must expand our historic commitment to free people, free governments and free markets. That means expanding our involvement in the global economy and strengthening our reputation around the world.
A commitment to free trade can build bridges between America and the rest of the world. Higher living standards abroad can help us achieve realistic peace while enlarging foreign markets for our exports. The President will need to have the Fast-Track Trade Promotion Authority restored, while seeing the Doha round of trade agreements come to a successful conclusion.

Rudy Giuliani Makes Fascist Fearmongering Statements:
Yesterday Rudy Giuliani said:
if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.
But if a Republican is elected, he said, especially if it is him, terrorist attacks can be anticipated and stopped.

What nonsense. A threat of attack to get us to vote Republican. What a ridiculous ploy, preying on people’s fears to get elected. Ron Paul 08!

By Rudy Giuliani - My four pillars of American prosperityExcerpt:"Washington needs a hefty dose of fiscal discipline. To restore accountable and effective leadership to America, government needs to run more like a business. That is what I did in New York. My administration inherited a $2.3 billion deficit. We responded by imposing fiscal discipline. We cut programs. We cut taxes. And we got results. We turned the deficit into a multibillion-dollar surplus. We cut bureaucracy by 20,000 workers - while increasing cops on the street and teachers in the classroom. And we cut taxes 23 times, all while working with a Democrat-dominated city council. Every year - in good times or bad - I required city commissioners to propose cuts in their own budgets. I wanted to keep my managers focused on saving taxpayers' money, while spending it more effectively. We put management back into the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)."http://www.townhall.com/columnists/RudyGiuliani/2007/04/11/my_four_pilla

Hillary Clinton (D-New York) addresses a crowd at the AFL-CIO building. Photo by REUTERS. On Sunday, Senator Hillary Clinton’s (D-New York) campaign reported that they had raised $26 million dollars in the first quarter of fund-raising for the presidential campaign, far exceeding their goals. This shattered the previous record for first quarter fund-raising of $8.9 million formerly held by Al Gore before his 2000 bid for the White House. "We dramatically exceeded our goals and expectations," said Patti Solis Doyle, Clinton's campaign manager. Rudy Giuliani reported on Monday, that his campaign had raised more than $15 million dollars during the first quarter and $10 million of that came just during March. Former Senator John Edwards pulled in more than $14 million dollars in the first three months of 2007. In a statement released by the Giuliani campaign, his manager Mike DuHaime said, “considering our late start, we are very pleased by the pace raised in March
NEWSMAX.COM Friday, March 30, 2007 7:34 a.m. EDTRepublican presidential contender Rudy Giuliani says British Prime Minister Tony Blair shouldn't back down on his refusal to negotiate the release of 15 British sailors and marines detained in Iran."I urge Tony Blair to stand up to them," Giuliani said after shaking hands and dining at a barbecue restaurant Thursday evening in downtown Oklahoma City.Ok, Mr Giuliani has no experience on the federal level and is underestimating how sensative this situation is. There are 15-16 members of the British Armed Forces basically held hostige under false justification. Now... Correct me if I am wrong, but the good man and former mayor Giuliani should only step where there is ground for him to stand on. And in this situation, a political maneuver is not warranted nor required by a former mayor from our nation's largest city; especially since there is a delicate diplomatic process the British are trying to put forward to ensure the safety and s

Rudy Giuliani's basically the only candidate who actually has common sense left! He wants things done, which is what we also want!!
I agree with what Rudy Giuliani said in that blog 100%, even the comment about being fortunate by having Bush, no really. He gets what every single normal citizen also gets. Giuliani wants to move the nation forward, and so does every person with any common sense.
Rudy Giuliani, Republican presidential hopeful, explained that his reason for converting from Democratic to Republican was because of the economy and taxes. Giuliani said that during the time of President Kennedy the Democrats understood the idea of cutting taxes as well as the private economy, but in recent years they have “kind of lost that.”
Giuliani also said, “I don’t think anything separates us more right now between Republicans and Democrats than how we look at taxes.” He stated that “what we understand as Republicans is that, sure, the government is an important player in this, but we are essentially a private economy. What Democrats really believe…is that it is essentially a government economy.”
This is the reason why Rudy Giuliani converted to being a Republican, which is what he stated in his speech right before quoting Winston Churchill saying, “If you’re not a liberal when you’re 20, you have no heart,
Rudy Giuliani on Larry King VIDEO and TEXT Transcript Are you running or not?GIULIANI: Yes, I'm running. Sure.KING: Oh, you are.Have you -- when would you -- do you make an official announcement or is this it -- here, right now?GIULIANI: I guess you do...KING: You just said, "I'm running." GIULIANI: I guess you do one of these things where you do it four times or five times in a day so that I can, you know, get on your show and about five others.KING: So you're running?GIULIANI: Yes, I'm running.KING: Final -- what led to the decision?GIULIANI: I think I can make a difference. I believe that the country needs leadership. I think that we're going through a war on terror -- or a terrorist war against us, which maybe is a better way to describe it. We've got lots of problems that we have to tackle and resolve. We need fiscal discipline. We need better education. We need energy independence. There's so many things that we haven't sort of tackled.I mean one of the things I do is...K
Political Background: Mayor of New York City 1994-2001
Recap: Probably the strongest GOP candidate for President who would most certainly pull in a large share of Independents and Democrats. The bigger problem for America's Mayor would be winning the Republican nomination, as the process is usually not friendly to socially moderate candidates, much less socially liberal ones like Rudy. Guiliani is pro-choice, pro-gay rights, pro-gun control, and even pro-immigration. In other words he is socially left of most of the Democrats who took seats from the GOP in 2006. But in spite of what many hard right Republicans will view as social flaws, Giuliani might just make up for it with his reputation for fiscal conservatism, crime control, and overall competency.
Guiliani announced yesterday (November 13th) his intentions of forming a committee to raise money in order to "explore" the idea of running for President. In other words, he is officially in the race.
Some have suggested that there isn't room for both John McCain and Rudy Giuliani in the race for the Republican presidential nomination - Giuliani himself seems to think differently. Just two days after McCain announced he would formally file papers with the Federal Elections Commission, establishing his exploratory committee, Giuliani does the same.
According to this Associated Press story on Yahoo News, a DC law firm filed the papers on Giuliani's behalf. Giuliani has not made any public announcement, and his spokesperson offered no comment to AP.
That makes it three Republicans so far - Hunter, McCain and Giuliani - versus just one Democrat, Tom Vilsack. I'm sure that's going to change real soon.
AP: Giuliani takes step toward '08 bid - Yahoo! News
Reports indicate Rudolph Giuliani, former NY City Mayor, will form a 2008 Presidential Exploratory Committee. Like John McCain, this is a first step toward an official announcement that a candidate is running for President. More details as they become available ...............
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani set up his presidential exploratory committee during December - with a website, to boot - so let's see what else he got up to.The West Australian, of all people, has a story about Rudy's fundraising. "Some of the biggest Republican donors to George Bush's presidential campaigns are backing former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani for the White House as the candidate who can beat Hillary Clinton in 2008," says the West. Giuliani hosted three dozen such people over "a private lunch of sea bass and hamburgers." If American civilisation should finally collapse, it won't be because of political incompetence or moral decay - it will be because you think seabass goes with hamburgers. Anyway, the West quotes Republican strategist Frank Luntz as saying that Giuliani could transform the Republicans the same way Tony Blair has transformed the Labour Party - by which I can only assume he means by alienating the base and driving the party into financial r
Tell me something I don't know, cry the good visitors of Oval Office 2008. Just to confirm, Rudolph Giuliani is officialy running for president in 2008. He has filed a "statement of candidacy" with the Federal Election Committee which adjusts his status from "testing the waters" to something more official. A fully flegded dive-in seems to be the most appropriate term now. "We still have to formally announce it and do a few more things" stated the former New York mayor on Fox News."I'm in this to win. You do this because you believe that you can win the nomination of your party, and then you believe that you're the strongest candidate to win the election for your party." As rhetoric goes, this is the strongest we've seen from Rudy yet in reference to 2008. This seems to put to bed the notion that he may decide to opt out rather than face a tough Republican nomination process.Having argubly the least conservative credentials (as opposed to saying most liberal) of any candidate curre
Right Wing News alerted me to some things I did not know clearly about before regarding former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani. For example, he's pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, but also...he's soft on illegal immigration. Real Clear Politics' Tom Bevan had this to say about him:While McCain has taken heat for his support of comprehensive immigration reform, Rudy is every bit as pro-immigration as McCain - if not more so. On the O'Reilly Factor last week Giuliani argued for a "practical approach" to immigration and cited his efforts as Mayor of New York City to "regularize" illegal immigrants by providing them with access to city services like public education to "make their lives reasonable." Giuliani did say that "a tremendous amount of money should be put into the physical security" needed to stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming across the border, but his overall position on immigration is essentially indistinguishable from McCain's.Considering that illegal immigration is something
