DJ Ruckus Roboticus remixed Bloc Party’s “Hunting For Witches” and turned it into a Halloween death march through the city with torches and shotguns — a song that got me through a grueling run this morning. (Yes, I carried a torch. No, I am not training for the Olympics. I just like torches.)
He released a [...]

According to the goodfolks at AllHipHop.com, Rza reportedly did a show on the weekend where he asked female fans to come on stage and strip, and also lit a ciggerette while performing..which wasn’t cool with the pigs for some reason, because it was illegal to do both things (news to me)..
According to reports, police were [...]
Just about everyday on the Web, you can find a story that’s a real head scratcher. Most of the time, your first reaction is “what is this sick world coming to?” You then copy a link to the story and forward it on to your friends that have a sense of humor. Not often do [...]
Exciting times for P2P filesharing: Limewire, Ares, Pirate Bay, Mininova, amongst others are pushing the industry to never-before imagines heights. You can get almost any music track or movie for free whenever and wherever you want. So the concept of introducing Ruckus – a music-download service that offers fast downloads for students – as a [...]
Liverpool have not set the world on fire this season, but they are a pragmatic side and will be hard to break down on Wednesday night. It will be interesting to see how they line up, will Benitez play a more attacking 4-4-2 or will he try to bore us with a more defensive 4--5-1? I don't think this should affect how Arsene approaches the game, I feel we should line up with a standard 4-4-2 as
“The Uncle Ruckus Show” is another allegedly banned episode of The Boondocks, and lets off exactly where the previous BET spotlighted joint did. BET (Black Evil Television) was dead seriously when they poised the thought of giving Uncle Ruckus his own show. Just imagine all the damage a highly publicized “brotha” who hates everything about [...]
Two episodes of the second series of The Boondocks went un-aired because they took the complete piss out of BET and BET decided they weren't going to take no shit. The episodes being banned from airing due to threatened litigation from BET are being classed as "widespread rumours", but it was blatantly the case. These episodes tear BET to shreds and they obviously want to save face. They should've just let the episodes air. Banning them from being broadcast on TV just draws more attention to them and thanks to file sharing, video upload sites embeddable videos, we can watch the shit anyway. Here is the second of the banned episodes, titled "The uncle Ruckus reality show". You'd think BET would try to see the funny side, do their part to support black television (seeing as that IS their
In this episode: BET gives Uncle Ruckus his own show, and what follows is one of the most fucked up and hilarious things I’ve seen on TV in years.Terrence Howard, Kanye West, Kristen Bell, Charlie Murphy and Ludacris guest star.
Charlie Murphy, Kanye West, Kristen Bell, Ludacris, Terrence Howard, The Boondocks
Ruckus has made available all of the music tracks of their online service free to all college students providing they have a valid .edu account. As of this year they have made agreements with all of their music labels to allow their music to be freely available to all college students in the U.S. Upon graduating, the students can optionally choose to continue their service with Ruckus for a fee.
Although it is HEAVILY advertisement laden, it does function as stated and is easy to use once you get attuned to their software interface and downloadable player. If you are looking for a free solution and are not a college student consider signing on to SPIRAL FROG.

Front loading primaries --unacceptable!! Parties and politicians seem to be out of control. But a move is on to reign some in. Presidential politics is becoming more interesting. A rompus is unravelling. Reportedly, Florida's major political parties have decided that holding their presidential primary before the time allowed would be an advantage. Well, that is not working for the country's fourth largest state-- which could lose its influence at the convention. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) wants Florida Democrats to drop the January 29 primary election day, or face punishment. And that punishment has begun. Hours after John Edwards and Senator Obama decided they would not participate if the January date was not changed, Hillary kicked in with her ban on Florida-- she will not campaign in the state if the ruling by the DNC is not obeyed. A boycott will also extend to Michigan and other states attempting to push the 2008 Primary calendar forward.Simultaneously, the Republic

Colleges around the country are beginning to partner up with legal music providers in order to stem the rising tide of law suits issued by the music industry. It makes sense that college students are among the demographic group most likely to download music, more often than not illegally. For students, these partnerships are almost [...]

Man, I feel sort of bad here posting a freebee that’s limited to college kids, but I feel at the same time with all of the tuition we pay, something back our way isn’t too bad. That why when I found out that Ruckus.com has free membership for all college students, or anyone with an .edu e-mail address, well, I was on board faster than Wile E. Coyote finding a new plan to get that Roadrunner. With over 2 million songs and more growing, all for my free legal downloading to add to my 12,000 song playlist? Sure! It would save on the CDs that I’d have to buy, or the number of times that I’d have to look over my shoulders…
Coincidentally, being in college is exactly like that too, when you think about it. Not the looking over your shoulders part, but the corner cutting. Cereal, cartoons, free music, and whatever you can get that’s cheap as long as it smells alright and looks clean, right?
I wouldn’t know. I stopped sniffing my dirty socks yes
Major music labels have agreed to support a service that will offer free music downloads — with some substantial restrictions — to any college student. Ruckus Network, will be supported by advertising on its Web site and on the software used to download and play songs. The four major record labels and several independent labels have agreed to license their music to Ruckus at lower rates than they charge other mass market music services on the theory that college students would rather steal songs than pay the $10 to $15 a month that such services normally charge. Ruckus had originally hoped universities would pay a fee to offer free downloads to their students, thereby reducing the legal risks and some of the network expense associated with the use of illegal file-sharing networks. Only 20 universities agreed. Last year, however, Ruckus decided to switch to a free, advertising-supported approach, although it still required universities to agree and to install a server on their campu
