Default User ID and Password for Various Routers
I have received a few e-mails regarding the default user ID and password for different routers. Most people that ask for this information usually have reset their router back to the factory default, but can't seem to find the instructions to the router.I have decided to begin compiling a list of default user IDs and passwords for various routers. This is by no means a complete list, but I will add to it as time goes by.The following sections provided the default user ID and password for different routers. For the values that are listed as (blank), simply leave that field empty.LinksysModelUser IDPasswordBEFSR41adminadminBEFW11S4(blank)adminWAG54GadminadminWAP54G(blank)adminWET11(blank)adminWET54G(blank)adminWRT54G(blank)adminWRT54GS(blank)adminWRT54GL(blank)adminD-LinkModelUser IDPasswordD

How Routers and Swiches saves bandwidth
In LAN and WAN routers and switches are used to interconnect computers and servers. Switch is usually used for the internal network while the routers are used to connect different networks or LANs and WANs. Routers and switches are second layer devices in the OSI layer. They can make intelligent forwarding of the packets thereby saving the bandwidth. For example you have three computer A,B and C in one network and another computer say D in another computer network. If computer D wants to communicate with computer B, the packets(data) from D is exactly sent to computer B and not to A or C. That is current is passed from D to B only by the router or switch. It means that since no current is passed to A or C bandwidth is saved. The current is AC current which has some frequency. So what bandw

      Wireless routers
A Wireless router are a wonderful wonderful thing. I can remember being at a bike rally at my husbands booth this summer and being able to sit in the parking lot and have access to the internet.  It was really cool.  I couldn’t set one up myself though.  Bear set up mine.  I honestly don’t think I could figure  it out on my own and to tell you the truth I don’t feel like I have the energy to take up that challenge.  Its awesome to be able to be 80 feet from your modem and still get internet.

Wireless Routers - Freedom For Internet Users
By Michael Russell As you read this article, you may be attached to a computer that's available only in, say, your living room or bedroom. Want to run a computer or laptop anywhere in the house? Consider a wireless router.A wireless router is network device that allows you, through the use of wireless access points (WLAN), to connect various computers to the internet without a cable. Essentially, the wireless router allows freedom for a number of internet users. There are clear advantages to the wireless router. The word "wireless" is what it's all about. Think of a computer connected to a cable or phone line. You can sense that the machine is tethered to a wall or fixture. This means you'll be spending a lot of time on a seat (perhaps an uncomfortable one) to access websites or do work. With the advent of the wireless router, internet users can easily roam throughout the house or building and not remain connected to a phone jack or cable modem. This means if you're working in the ki
