Seems as Google are doing it again - testing new ads format in AdSense. After the spring cleanup and new AdSense Ads’ style, they are testing rounded corners.
Now this can implement greatly into some designs, but for others it won’t be much of good news. So I appreciate Google’s decision to give users the chance to switch between square, slightly rounded and very rounded corners in the AdSense setup page.
The images and coding for creating rounded boxes becomes relatively simple if you use the online corner image creator, Corner Shop , which was Created by Zach BeaneAt Corner Shop you decide on the color you want for your box and enter the hex code color (eg #B0C8F2) for your box background and the color of your page background. Thanks to Beta Blogger for Dummies, I've discovered an easy way to create rounded headers and sidebar enclosures: Cornershop!
Using CSS and HTML code, you can create rounded corners for your header or sidebars in a variety of colours to blend seamlessly with your colour scheme. Simply visit the Cornershop website, specify the colours of the box and background and the roundness of the corners you require. Cornershop will then generate four corners and the CSS/HTML code to paste into your blog template.Here's how to do it:
Head over to the Cornershop website. Choose the colours of your background and foreground in the boxes provided. If you need the HEX values for your chosen colours, try Cedges Colour Calculator which will generate the values for you.
Choose the roundness of your corners: as a guide I'd say that 10 is neatly rounded, while 20 is very rounded.
If either your foreground or background is patterned or transparent, choose transparency for this element of your design.
Google Adsense Ad Border with Rounded Corners: Apparently I was snoozing when this feature was released by Google but now you can have rounded corners on your Google AdSense ads. This could be a good way to increase your CTR, especially on blogs with AdSense blindness. I can see people coming up with very creative variations of the borders and colors to attract more attention to AdSense ads. I first noticed it on Google Blogoscoped while reading their article on AdSense Referrals.

Google AdSense has introduced an option which lets you customize the look of your ad by rounding edges. You can either change your ads with slightly rounded corners, very rounded corners or keep it square (default). I was over at ProBlogger and came across a post that informed me of a new option Google has given its publishers: your Adsense ads can now have square edges, slightly rounded, or very rounded. Click here to see previews of the three different ad border styles.
I think it’s great that Google is giving Adsense publishers more choices in the look and feel of the ads they run. A selection of different border types is not huge a difference, but it never hurts. However, when I use Adsense, I blend the ads into my site and you cannot see the borders at all, so these differently shaped edges would not matter for me. But I can see how this will be very nice for some people whose ads are not completely blended. More options never hurt anybody, and it’s not something to complain about, even if I won’t be using it!

A friend pointed this out to me a couple days ago and I've been overjoyed and playing with it ever since! Why use some junky hacked CSS rounded corners that might mess up in different browsers?
