The English rock band brought in $558.3 million, which shatters the previous record of $389 million set by U2's Vertigo tour. That said, it actually started way back in 2005 (two years seems like cheating, right?), soon after the band released "A Bigger Bang" that same summer. The Stones apparently rocked the faces off 4.68 million fans in the 144-show trek.

Rolling Stone’s loud mouthed guitarist Keith Richards has demanded that two Swedish newspapers apologise for publishing bad reviews of one of the band’s recent gigs on their world tour. Keith Richards, in a letter to the concert promoters wrote, ““Never before have I risen to the bait of a bad review. You owe our fans and us an apology.” Newspaper Expressen used the headline “Keith was super drunk”, giving the 63 year-old no stars for his performance. The second reviewer in the equation, in the paper Aftonbladet has refused to apologise for his “subjective opinion”. and gave the whole show a measly 2 stars. De acordo com o site Digital Spy, fontes próximas aos músicos disseram que esta turnê (A Bigger Band) será sua última, e o motivo seria a idade avançada da banda. O vocalista Sir Mick Jagger tem 64 anos, o guitarrista Keith Richards, 63, o baterista Charlie Watts, 66, e o outro guitarista Ron Wood, 60. Se eles fossem planejar outra turnê mundial, já estariam próximos aos 70 anos, e isso tornaria o projeto inviável. Eles estão juntos desde 1962 e a turnê, que já dura dois anos, encerraria a carreira da banda no último domingo, com show em sua terra natal, o Reino Unido. L-am intrebat de ce vrea el sa se duca, iar raspunsul a fost destul de sec: ‘Pentru ca e cea mai batrana trupa din lume si una din cele mai tari. Last night I happened to catch a showing of the Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus on PBS. This combination of artists arranged by the Rolling Stones into one massive live show was recorded in 1968 but not released until 2004 due to the quality. The show as apparently plagued by technical problems and personal problems but it definitely has some memorable performances worth checking out if you have the time. The artists who played included Jethro Tull, The Who, John Lennon with Dirty Mac, Yoko Ono, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and Eric Clapton. Most acts played only a single song or so with the Rolling Stones closing the show with a short set. Themed like a circus primarily, it also has a distinctly 60s psychedelic and performance art type of quality that falls short and ends up becoming more confusing than anything else.
