My personal review:This is one more family game to the Wii and once again, a good one. Rockstar Games will be making another push next week to get Manhunt 2 (Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo Wii) onto store shelves in the UK. According to MCV, the publisher will be taking its case to the Video Appeals Committee on November 26.
The meeting between Rockstar and the Video Appeals Committee will take place in London’s The De Vere Hotel, where Rockstar will appeal against the British Board of Film Classification’s (BBFC) decision to ban Manhunt 2 in the UK. This was reportedly confirmed by the BBFC.
The publisher will be appealing to get the revised version of Manhunt 2 - which is the same as the one currently being sold in the U.S. - onto UK store shelves. The BBFC rejected the revisions made to the game early last month. Rockstar has also hit some walls stateside, with Target confirming that it has removed Manhunt 2 from its shelves.

“Party Like a Rockstar” is a hip-hop rap song recorded by an Atlanta-based rap group, the Shop Boyz. It was released as the first single from their debut album RockStar Mentality this past summer (2007).

An action horror video game developed by Rockstar Games. This is the sequel to Manhunt last 2003. SCEA’s director of third-party relations, Michael Shorrock, wrote on the official US PlayStation blog, “As part of our long standing relationship with Rockstar, and the incredible success for both companies with the cultural icon that is Grand Theft Auto we’ve agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios.”
Nothing whatsoever was revealed about the new franchise except the clarification that it would not be LA Noire.
This is a good move for Sony. The GTA series is what really propelled the PS2 into homes. It was what prompted me to go buy one (and a month later, prices dropped… figures).
Hopefully it will be a strong title from Rockstar. Most are, but then they came out with that ping-pong game and they lost a bit of street cred with me.
