The phone rang this afternoon & it was Michael our very ethical - yet aggressive deduction finder CPA. He wanted to quiz me on some more possible deductions in regards to selling our last rental house. Then he gave me the wonderful news... we only have to pay a bit over $200 in federal income taxes and a bit over $2000 in state income taxes. I'm floating on cloud nine!!! We had allocated around 5K towards 2007 income taxes - so that is 50% less than we thought we were going to have to pay!!!
