Who's ready for a roadtrip to South Dakota?
Found this via my blogging buddy Kim. Apparently I've ignored the entire Pacific Northwest and the Midwest (even traveling like a dog for work all these years... you'd think I've been everywhere by now).://bighugelabs.com/flickr/map.php

      4000 km roadtrip to Spain
We’re on the road - driving almost 4000 kilometers from Stockholm, Sweden to the south of Spain, a bit outside Seville. Yes, we are crazy, feel no doubt about that! *giggles* The trip also involves going by two ferries, one from Sweden to Denmark and one from Denmark to Germany. We’ll drive through France too. We’ll [...]

      goin' on a roadtrip!
I'm goin' on the road with my hockey team this weekend for a two game road trip. Yes you heard me right... I play ice hockey... on a women's team... yep.Buddy will be staying home with daddy while mommy hits the road with her unruly bunch of female hockey playing friends! First stop is Syracuse where we will play the Rome Grizzlies, Saturday 7:15pm, Cicero Arena, then on the way home we will play the Rochester Susan B's, Sunday 12:45pm, Valley Park Arena. We need fans. So if anybody happens to be in upstate NY this weekend, check us out. We play women's Senior C, so don't expect much!Needless to say, I will be away from my computer for awhile, so don't be too offended if I don't return comments and emails and such until Monday!

      Motovun to Venice Roadtrip
The other day we decided to take a drive from Motovun to Venice just to see how far it is (according to Yahoo Maps it is 240kms) and to see if a day trip was possible. Our route took us across the border into Slovenia, into Italy near Trieste and, after some difficulty with the typically [...]

      Roadtrip Report:
Tips for having a healthy, marital game of "20 Questions."1. The "lead step in a Waltz" is not an "easy to medium"-level-of-difficulty object.2. If you have chosen abovementioned object and your husband spouse asks you if it is an abstract idea rather than a concrete one, the answer is "Yes," rather than "it is definitely concrete."3. The half-used stick of lip gloss with a scratch mark on it at the bottom of your purse is not a "reasonable" object.4. If your husband spouse guesses "lip gloss" when trying to determine the abovementioned object, the correct response is, "good job," not "nope, try again."Thank you for Subscribing to Say Simpleton.

      Roadtrip to PostieCon
I am considering doing a road trip to PostieCon in an RV. My goal would be to see at least 8 and 10 Posties or Advertisers along the way and actually pickup one lucky Postie to ride with us and blog the trip. This isn't set in stone yet, I am just trying to gauge what kind of interest there is for something like this. I started a thread on the board and it seems like there may be some takers for the trip. How many of you are along the way and would be interested in doing a Postie Patrol? How about a group get together? The map above was generated by mapquest as the fastest route but I may be up for some detours if we can get some groups of posties together in different cities. I think it would be awesome to meet up for bowling or wings, something like that. I know that we have some large concentrations of Posties in Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix and Dallas. Who would be up for meeting up either as a group or as an indiviudal? Who would be up for grabbing a ride? We would most likely le

Roadtrip pictures, finally!! (or some of them, atleast)
Well, it's been about a month since our famed roadtrip from MA to CA ended, and I still daydream about all the fun we had. Unfortunately, we had some kickass pictures on a digital camera and I accidentally lost the memory card they were saved on, which totally sucks and I am a total schmuck for losing it. Anyway, here are the pictures, in slideshow form, from my regular camera that I had transferred over to picture CD and uploaded on the web. I will be getting the rest of my pictures developed, and should also be getting some pictures from my cousin and her boyfriend who joined us on our cross country journey. Most of the pictures you'll see here are scenery pictures (we took people pictures on the digital, which is now gone). We traveled through 19 states in 7 days and met many interesting people and saw some VERY interesting places. Here are some of the pictures from the Roadtrip...Stay tuned for more soon!!by assmonkiep.s. If you ever get the opportunity to take a cross-coun

      Greatest. Roadtrip Soundtrack. Ever.
Austalia in the spring of 2002. Somewhere on the Great Ocean Road, sitting on a bus with other like-minded backpackers as part of the Oz Experience tour. Our amicable guide was nicknamed “Two Dogs,” for some obscure reason I can’t remember now. He sported a soul-patch on his chin and could pull off some pretty neat stunts with a pair of whips (which he demonstrated at the hostel the night before). He also loved obscure Australian folk music. Which normally wouldn’t have been a big deal. To each their own right? Except here’s the thing: he also figured the rest of us should love it as well and blared it over the bus speakers. I remember most of us tried to endure it. But you can only take so many repetitions of Waltzing Matilda and “jumbucks” from “tuckerbags” before you start fantacizing about kicking in the cd player. I stand by this musical compilation as the closest anyone has ever come to roadtrip soundtrack enlightenme

      GC’s OGs Houston Roadtrip 11/6 - 11/10/03
I just typed out a huge update, but the computer ate it. I don’t want to have to retype all that stuff. So here is the short version: I got my nose pierced Nov 1st, a tat on halloween, and another tat Nov 22. That makes 16 piercings and 5 tats now. I am a vegetarian now, mostly because my talk with John and Brian from Goldfinger. I became a vegetarian Nov 11th, 2003. I’ve lost 30 pounds (it wasn’t an purpose to lose weight, it just happened). I never realized how fattening meat is. The Houston roadtrip was awesome. I met some of the boardies from the GC messageboard. We had lots of fun. We met Benji, Billy, Paul and Chris from GC; we met John and Brian from Goldfinger. Joel’s crotch was in my face at the show the 8th. I grabbed his butt. We were front and center on the barricade the first night and front/ stage left on the barricade the 2nd show. I got lots of great pics.
