Antony showed up. He knocked unannounced at the studio door. I peeped out gripping a wooden club and saw his face. "Is this your painting? Are you a painter?" He was looking at the rhythm painting, the one in the picture. "Yes." "And this one?" he said pointing to the chalk painting just next to it, the one that had been there for two years. "No." "I'll give you a hundred bucks for your painting." "OK." He handed me a card, he was a poet. "You're a poet?." "I study business but I'm a poet on the side." He was a poet, I already knew it. "Where can I hear you read?" "At the factory tomorrow." "OK, I'll be there." I wanted hear some words. "Man, that's..." he pointed to the rhythm painting, nodding his head. "See you tomorrow then." I closed the door and Antony walked off. I stood there all g

One of the things I hate about being sick is the lack of concentration. I don't even have the energy to finish the book I was reading before I got the flu, or even really go through my reader.I just stare at words that don't really make sense the longer I stare at them, then eventually shut down the computer or the book for lack of concentration. Here's to getting over....... (spacing out again).......the flu.
You may have witnessed all of its party tricks within the first 30 seconds but there is no denying the groovy hypnotic vibe to Jeremy Jay’s ‘Alpha Rhythm’. Jay appears unfeasibly young and calls Angel Town his home, which means there is more than the smell of a gimmick about the whole thing. Even his record label K Records (remember K-Tel?) has that feeling of made up fantasy about it (witness those bright dayglo 70’s colours) but I guess until we hear otherwise we can take it that everything is kosher and above board. There is a new LP in the offing ‘A Place Where We Can Go’ so expect Jeremy Jay to go interstellar later this year. Walking on air has proven a breeze so far so no doubt he’ll take to the water with much the same aplomb. KDJeremy Jay - Alpha RhythmWatch The Vide

THEORY:
The eighth notes (straight by definition) divide time into two equal parts, i.e. you play two notes, of EQUAL duration, per beat.
The shuffle eighth notes divide time into three equal parts. The first note occupies the first two thirds and the second note occupies the last third. See figure I.
EXAMPLE:
Here are two popular songs. One [...]
Hello all!I had a pleasant weekend, for the most part. I can't seem to quite kick this cold though, I slept half of Saturday and Sunday away. I don't get it. Just cause I don't take my vitamins everyday, I don't go to the doctor, I sleep by the window and I work with kids, does this mean I gotta be sick all the live long day? Ay dios mio!I went to dinner with a couple of my girls on Saturday, Sister HotCocoChiBK and, new to the blog, Sister R-Kansas. You see, our waitress detetect her accent and asked her where she was from and she told her Little Rock. The waitress replied "Oh, in R-Kansas?" LMAO! We had the classic reactions: I started smiling too hard and Sister Hot got this really puzzled, evil look. Anyway, the MOST important part....Chico DeBarge was having a drink a few feet from us

So you should see by now that I like to play stocks that I’ve been watching for a few days. I don’t try to predict news, I don’t try to predict how businesses are doing and I certainly don’t try to predict anything related to the economy; all I care about is how people PERCEIVE a stock’s news and people’s PERCEPTION of how their business is doing. Perception creates patterns and these patterns are PREDICTABLE because

Balance is the perception of visual equilibrium, and relates to our physical sense of balance. It is an appeasement of opposing forces in a composition that results in visual stability. Most successful compositions attain balance in one of two ways: symmetrically or asymmetrically. Balance in a three dimensional object is simple to understand. If balance isn’t achieved, the object tips over.
Symmetrical balance means having equal “weight” on equal sides of a centrally placed fulcrum. You can also call it formal balance. When the elements are arranged equally on either side of a central axis, the result is Bilateral symmetry. The axis can be vertical or horizontal. It is also potential to build formal balance by arranging elements equally around a central point, resulting in radial symmetry.
There is an alternate to the symmetrical balance called approximate symmetry - here equivalent but not identical formulas are placed around the fulcrum line.

Double bassist Doug Johnson (www.myspace.com/douglasjohnson) has written a series of fascinating blog posts on the relationship between pitch cycles per second and how these translate to beats per minute. This is heady and fascinating stuff! Doug writes: ....pitches in music are measured in frequencies, or more specifically "Hertz" (Hz), which are cycles per second. Most western music is tuned to A-440, which means that the pich "A" above middle C is 440 Hz. This will be my reference for the pitch to tempi table below. When a frequency is doubled, it sounds exactly one "octave" higher. So if 440 Hz is an A, then 880 Hz will be an A one octave higher, as in the first and last do in do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do. Halving A-440 will result in A-220, which is an A one octave lower. Now, since octaves "resonate" with each other, and if you play the bass you know what I mean, tempi can also resonate with pitches. Tempi are measu

Daylight Savings Time is still a week away in USA & Canada.
If you are reading this today, and your computer clock is one hour behind, you need to patch your computer, unless you are still running Windows 98. In that case, you will have to adjust it manually, or just get rid of Windows 98.
Normally Daylight Savings Time ends the last Sunday of October for Canada and United States. Daylight Savings Time now starts 3 weeks earlier in March, instead of the first Sunday in April, and for the fall, ends the first Sunday in November.
There are exceptions:
In Canada, the majority of Saskatchewan and parts of northeastern British Columbia do not observe DST but instead stay on “standard time” all year long.
In the USA, Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii and the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are the only places in the U.S. that do not observe DST.
How does this affect sleep?

As a child of the 80s, I have a deep and inexplicable love for cheesy rock music. While I enjoy bands from the 90s and the naughties*, nothing beats the endorphin rush I feel when I hear the opening strains of "Urgent" by Foreigner, Journey's "Stone in Love," or pretty much anything by Def Leppard. I recently made a startling discovery about this musical genre, however. I'm sure you'll find this hard to believe, but it turns out that almost all of this music is about sex . I know, it makes you look at Kiss's "Lick it Up" or ZZ Top's "Tube Steak Boogie" in a whole new way, doesn't it?It took me a while to put it all together, but my first clue came when I was a teenager. I was paging through one of those "Rock Music is of the Devil" books at a bookstore, and came across the assertion that the title of John Cougar Mellencamp's "Hurts so Good" was "a clear reference to sadomasochism." The remarkable thing about this claim -- in addition to making Mr. "Pink Houses"

Whatever you lost through the stroke of destiny, know it was to save you from adversity. One small affliction keeps off greater afflictions; one small loss prevents greater losses. [Mawlana Rumi] It is a long journey. Some make it, and others fall by the wayside. We all love the beauty of the diamond, but we forget the time and pressure it took to make it. Along the way we become discouraged. It seems too hard. It isn't. It seems impossible. It isn't.There will be setbacks and failures. Winners are inspired by failure. Losers are afraid of and discouraged by failure. In the wake of failure, winners want to do more, to be more, to do a better job next time. When faced with failures, losers become overwhelmed by the fear of greater failure. They allow the fear to smother them and in the process achieve what they wanted to avoid - a greater failure. The greatest failure is not to try. There are plenty of reasons to give up. Think of reasons not to give up, to stay strong, to stay focuse
It's happening again. We're finding it harder and harder to get together with our friends who don't homeschool. Their afternoons are filled with homework and sports practice and their weekends are busy with shopping, football and soccer games and all the stuff they didn't have time to do during the week. Recently, I called and invited a couple and their kids over for pizza and even over the phone, I could hear the daytimer pages flipping. It had to be either after school or on the weekend, of course, for them, and they both work, so weekend would be better, except that Allen, their son, has soccer practice on Saturday at 11 and his sister, Susan, has soccer practice at 3, so Saturday is no good. Sunday doesn't look too good either this week, because there's an away game for Allen and next week, there's a game for Susan. Hmm, maybe they could squeeze it in next Tuesday from 7 to 9 if the kids don't have too much homework and Bob and Ruth don't have to work late, but they kind o
10 years on from it's release, let's visit a truly legendary record...It was way back in 1997 that the Masters At Work boys rounded up a ridiculous All-Star lineup featuring the likes of Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Roy Ayers, DJ Jazzy Jeff and a host of others to produce the Nuyorican Soul record, a record which has to stand among the 10 best Dance albums ever produced. The combination of Jazz, Latin, House and even Hip-Hop on this album has maybe never been done better, but with all the cats that contributed, could there be any doubt? Hell, this genius track, featuring guitar and vocals by George Benson, is the last freakin' song on the album! Talk about leaving 'em wanting more...Nuyorican Soul - You Can Do It (Baby) They never made a second one, so this record stands alone as a unique meeting of musical minds... file under: abso-fuckin-lutely essential.
A great way to improve your rythm guitar playing. This book/CD pack is based on the concept that, for most popular music styles, there exist a few basic, fundamental rhythm guitar techniques and a set of appropriate chords and chord voicings that determine the sound of each style. This one-on-one lesson with MI instructor Steve Trovato teaches the rhythm guitar essentials for 7 styles: blues, rock, country, fingerstyle acoustic, Latin/Brazilian, jazz and swing, and funk. The CD features 65 full-band tracks. Includes standard notation & tab. With standard guitar notation, guitar tablature, chord names, guitar chord diagrams, introductory text and instructional text.
A comprehensive source for learning rhythm guitar in a variety of musical styles. It covers: open chords, barre chords, and other movable shapes; strumming, fingerstyle, flatpicking and arpeggiation; common progressions and basic chord theory; triads, sixth, seventh, ninth, and many other chords; and much more.
“Ok men . . .” Get ready to Elite Beat!
Elite Beat Agents (EBA for short) is one of the most unique, quirky and flat-out fun rhythm games you will ever play. And I’d reckon, one of the best rhythm games ever made on any system! If you want to see how a DS game should be done, then look no further than Elite Beat Agents!
EBA is solely controlled via the touch-screen, and you use it to tap the screen in various ways to the “beat” of the song. The beats are colored dots that have numbers on them. You follow the numbers to successfully tap your way through. You are scored depending on how well you time your taps.
While Elite Beat Agents may sound or look easy at first, believe me, it is anything but easy! There is so much to the game, and will be playing it for a long, long time if you are to see everything and get perfect scores on every level. It truly is a one-of-a-kind rhythm game, and suffice it to say that Elite Beat Agents will not disappoint.
System:
Because rhythm and timing lie at the foundation of everything you play, its importance can't be underestimated. This series will give you that solid foundation you need. Starts with simple upbeat rhythms for the beginner and moves step by step into advanced syncopations - all demonstrated with seriously heavy metal examples that have practical applications to today's styles. Tablature. Music and examples demonstrated on CD. Includes "tab" tablature notation.Part 1Part 2
If you would like to look at a complicated rhythmic figure and instantly know how it sounds, then this book is for you. The only way to sight-read rhythms fluently is to think not in terms of how long notes last, but in terms of what rhythmic sound might occur within each beat. This book shows you how to memorise the sound of each of the various combinations of notes that commonly occur within one beat. If you think in terms of beats, you can sight-read rhythms successfully because the beat remains constant. You'll discover the difference between duple and triple time, simple and compound time, and how to instantly play odd groupings.
We don’t doubt that a good few of you reading this will think that these drum stick rhythm pens are actually quite tacky whilst the remainder of you will think, like us, that, tacky or not, these are quite cool and would serve as great stress busters for the office.
Quite how many of you think these are cool versus those who don’t will no doubt be reflected in the voting – and we’ll be interested to see how that stacks up.
The Rhythm Pens come as a set of two – one blue and one red – each complete with its own rubber housed speaker and drum sounds (snare, drum and crash) which can be enabled at will via a series of buttons.
Admittedly, a simple idea and hardly groundbreaking, but these Rhythm Sticks – which retail for £11.24 / $24.95 – certainly look like fun. And, sometimes, it doesn’t hurt to have a little fun, does it?

The Autumn Rhythm craft haunting, minimalist songs of blissful sorrow — music that truly wears its heart on its sleeve. Their honest, understated melodies are punctuated by Valerie Allen’s lush vocals in a style that has been described by The Village Voice as “intimate, narcotic, and surprisingly mature”. The Autumn Rhythm have also garnered comparisons to the Velvet Underground, Galaxie 500, Yo La Tengo, Ida and Cat Power. Having hailed from Boston, Brooklyn, and now Boston again, high school sweethearts Valerie Allen and Eli Queen began writing songs together in Boston during the winter of 2000. The Autumn Rhythm continued on in New York City while Val attended college and released their first EP on Hello Doll Records in July 2001. While living in Brooklyn, The Autumn Rhythm recorded a four song EP at Marcata Studios, with Paul Maroon of The Walkmen. The Autumn Rhythm have shared stages with such great bands as The Ladybug Transistor, Aden, The Naysayer, Dan Littleton, Tara J
Sources close to Janet Jackson are hinting that the pop-diva plans on selling the swath of land she acquired on the coast of Guyana to form Rhythm Nation, a group of settlements bonded together by the idea that modern society has perverted man’s true purpose, to dance.
Ms. Jackson (I have to call her that because she says I’m nasty) began purchasing the land shortly after the release of her album, Rhythm Nation 1814. After holding auditions, Ms. Jackson brought over the first group of settlers and began ordering life in Rhythm Nation according to her ideals, assigning positions of importance according to an individual’s ability to perform complicated physical movements. Initially, Rhythm Nation enjoyed some success, with its school curriculum winning praise from educators for its innovative approach to math. In Rhythm Nation “studios,” students would spin on their heads to learn Geometry and do the Robot to familiarize themselves with android technology.

Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, the Leftfield masterminds behind 1995's sumptuous dance stew Leftism have gone one better with Rhythm and Stealth. A little darker than its predecessor, the long-awaited sophomore effort clearly ranks with dance music's most versatile and human albums, ranging from big blocking dance-floor beats to waves of ambient melancholy, all framed bewitchingly as actual songs. Kicking in hard with the sub-thumping hip-hop trip of "Dusted" and uppercutting it with a spacey "Phat Planet", the momentum is maintained by the looping pyscho-techno mantra of "Double Flash." It is "El Cid," all sleepy, warm, sunny Sunday mornings, that offers the first hint of the richer personality to come. And while "Afrika Shox" rattles cages and "Swords" is undeniably addictive, the lush mystery of "Reno" best personifies the beauty and brilliance of this album. The song encompasses the aura of Nusrat Fatah Ali Kahn with an enormous, beautiful bottom end and engaging waves of samplers
Pick From 1 Division1. Monaghan - ShelbourneWednesday, 22 June Kingspan Century ParkKick off: 8:00 pmPrediction: Away winThe odds: in Decimal 2.20The verdict:After disappointing action for both teams in FAI Cup they meet each other at Kingspan Century Park today to decide who will be ...the last team in the Division! The domestic side is currently at the bottom , desperate to gain som efresh air, while the guests are above them but just 3 points is the difference between. And why i will go for Shelbourne despite the awful injury crisis there and the dramatic falling down of the form at the beginning of the season? The first reason is the quality of the home side - they have just 9 points from 14 games which is a solid application for finishing last at the end of the season. They have also dropped here points by few unambitious teams so far. Stephen Finnegan is still out for the Mons with an ongoing knee problem. A kind of good news for them: Steven Feeney and Cian Mackey both await la
Great athletes oftentimes have their actions described as poetry in motion. A fitting description for emcee Amir Sulaiman's work might be poetry in rhythm as hes been creating his own unique brand of Hip-Hop since 1996. He debuted with the a capella

You can write your tunes with rhythm and blues as your alibi
You can sell your soul and lay the blame on the passers-by
You shake your body on the tv screen
It seems to me, you’d try anything twice
And swing it out and use it as your aphrodisiac
You can give it to me, to me
Plain to see [...]
Although his songs were covered by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Elvis Presley, country-soul pioneer Arthur Alexander remains largely unknown to the general listening audience -- nevertheless, his music is the stuff of genius, a poignant and deeply intimate body of work on par with the best of his contemporaries. Born May 10, 1940, in Florence, AL, Alexander was the son of a bottleneck blues guitarist who performed each Saturday night in the blues joints scattered throughout the region. Rooted as much in white country music as black R&B, Alexander was still in the sixth grade when he joined a gospel group dubbed the Heartstrings. After high school, he worked as a hotel bellhop, befriending Tom Stafford, an R&B-obsessed white kid who fancied himself a lyricist -- Alexander began adding melodies to his words, and through Stafford was introduced to a likeminded crowd of fledgling musicians including future legends Dan Penn, Spooner Oldham, Billy Sherrill, and Rick Hall. In 1958 Ale

Johnny Cash was one of the most imposing and influential figures in post-World War II country music. With his deep, resonant baritone and spare, percussive guitar, he had a basic, distinctive sound. Cash didn't sound like Nashville, nor did he sound like honky tonk or rock & roll. He created his own subgenre, falling halfway between the blunt emotional honesty of folk, the rebelliousness of rock & roll, and the world weariness of country. Cash's career coincided with the birth of rock & roll, and his rebellious attitude and simple, direct musical attack shared a lot of similarities with rock. However, there was a deep sense of history -- as he would later illustrate with his series of historical albums -- that kept him forever tied with country. And he was one of country music's biggest stars of the '50s and '60s, scoring well over 100 hit singles.Cash was born and raised in Arkansas, moving to Dyess when he was three. By the time he was 12 years old, he had begun writing his own
Rhythm Tengoku is more than likely one of the best Gameboy Advance games most people have never played. Designed by the genius's behind the Warioware series, the game is a unique mix of drum beats, button presses, and mini games, all of which even put Elite Beat Agents to shame. In the latest issue of Famitsu (which surprisingly has been filled with a ton of great news), Nintendo and Sega announced their plans to bring the Rhythm Tengoku series to arcades in Japan. I don't expect Nintendo of America to touch this game with a ten foot pole, especially considering that we still don't have the original Gameboy Advance game release in North America, but we can hope right?Rhythm Tengoku for the region free (greatest thing ever) GBA can still be ordered on Play-Asia.com... Just expect to pay more than full price for it.[Scan via creamsugar on NeoGaf]
Irrelevant song lyrics for today:I took the head off ElvisFilled Fred up to his pelvis...Yabba dabba doo,the King is gone, and so are you......brought to you by George Jones, everyone's favorite ALLEGED wife-beating alcoholic country singer.(PS: I'm not sure why I picked Larry/Darryl/Darryl, but they sure do look nice, don't they?)I'm back! I'm back!I'm sorry I've stayed away so long...I just figured that any/everything I would attempt to write would sound like WHINY crap. It's bad enough I screwed up and didn't interview with Mr. Fab like I had planned. However, I proposed the idea of a Christmas show to him so we'll see if all is forgiven on that one.Well, the would-have-been-Sudie's-wedding-day weekend went by with its share of happiness and sadness. D's friend MH from back home flew in and they went sightseeing all over. I had my own things...The most interesting one was the wedding reception I sang at with my small group. It was on Saturday afternoon, in Chevy Ch
I have to confess something here... I have no rhythm. And this isn't the kind of no rhythm that would allow me to get away with only clapping my hands or snapping my fingers to a beat at a dance. I'm talking about no rhythm in the sense that if I tried to do half the things that I see being done on DDR machine in arcades, I would literally break my neck (and more than likely the machine) in a flaying, flying contorted ball of human limbs. I'm really that bad.Fortunately, the Nintendo DS with its touch screen seems to have the answer. Instead of threatening life and limb (and the lives of those around me) trying to play a rhythm based game at an arcade, I can now play them from the comfort of my own home with a stylus in hand (so that my limbs don't break any valuable lamps). The added benefit of this is that when I fail miserably only my cat will see just how horrible I am (since I try to avoid playing rhythm games around my wife; she has tendency of laughing at me... a lot)
Often described as a more radio-friendly version of Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers, the Atlanta Rhythm Section was one of many Southern rock bands to hit the upper reaches of the charts during the late '70s. Hailing from the small town of Doraville, Georgia, the beginning of the Atlanta Rhythm Section can be traced back to 1970. It was then that a local recording studio was opened, Studio One, and the remnants of two groups (the Candymen and the Classics Four), became the studio's house band. One of the facility's head figures, Buddy Buie, soon began assembling the session band -- singer Rodney Justo, guitarist Barry Bailey, bassist Paul Goddard, keyboardist Dean Daughtry, and drummer Robert Nix. After playing on several artists' recordings, it was decided to take the band a step further and make the group of players a real band, leading to the formation of the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Buie soon became an invisible fifth member of the fledgling band; he served as their manage
Can't sleep normally or at the right time? Have sleep and work problems when travelling to a distant country or changing your working schedule? Then you are probably suffering from circadian rhythm disorders. This article has information on sleep disorder that you will find very useful. The circadian rhythm is the internal body clock that controls the 24-hour cycle of biological processes in a person. Circadian rhythm disorders manifest more clearly as a continuous or occasional disruption of sleep patterns so that people can't get enough sleep. There are two causes: a malfunction in this internal body clock or a mismatch between this clock and the external world which affects the duration of sleep. Because of this mismatch, people often suffer from insomnia during some days and too much sleepiness during some other days, causing them problems at work, school or socially. We'll talk about the main circadian rhythm disorders. Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder is a circadian rhythm disorde
Welcome to One World Rhythm. My name is Pete Ellison and in this article I will address topics pertaining to rhythm-based event planning and participation. Whether you’re an event planner, guest, or fan of drum circles in general, I hope you’ll find this article to be both useful as well as informative.
In this issue we’re going to discuss planning a rhythm-based event that will include event timelines, typical costs, and space requirements. I’ll also be discussing what to expect as a spectator or participant of a rhythm-based event. But first, for those of you reading the term “rhythm-based event” for the first time and are scratching your head wondering, “What the heck is this all about?” I’ll get into some of the basic concepts of today’s rhythm-based events.
Rhythm-based events fall under the family umbrella of what are called drum circles. There are many types of drum circles conducted throughout the United States and ab
We've all experienced our share of pin the tail on the donkey, musical chairs and the ever favorite - bashing of the piñata. And while these childhood staples are fun and rather predictable in nature, today's parents are seeking ways to break the "typical" party mold and venture into the unexplored. A whole cottage industry has sprung up to meet such a need and hence the creation of the "themed" party.Â
Party themes can be found in all shapes and sizes, from my little princesses to NASCAR, Star Wars to the Flintstones. Although matching paper plates, cups and napkins are all "nice", the truly adventurous party planner will want to think outside the box and beyond pin the tail on the Chubaka. Which brings us to the topic of what to "do" at the party…what…to…do.
Fortunately, the subject of what to do at the party also addresses the burning question, "How Can a One World Rhythm party make my (birth) day?"Â One World Rhythm has worked with all kind

Libraries used to be quiet zones, where no one spoke above a whisper and librarians wagged their fingers and “Shhhshed” anyone that did. That is no longer the case.
One World Rhythm rocked the Canyon Hills Library Wednesday and the library staff joined in the noisy fun.
The interactive music program was a first at the local library. And, from the moment Pete Ellison and his percussionists Debbie and Richard Keith began distributing drums, apple-shakers, boom-whackers, maracas, and tambourines to the 114 children and their parents who attended their program, it seemed certain, it wouldn’t be the last.
“Think about the last time you were at the beach and the waves were washing against the shore,” Ellison told the group. “There’s a rhythm to that sound. Today we are going to create and learn a one world

Sleep forms part of human's biological need to rest. As a person sleeps, the various physiological processes of a human body figuratively put into an apparent arrest and some parts of our system that were mostly exploited can be replenished for future use. However, imagine a system so disrupted that our normal scheduling for sleeping and waking is totally altered that means your circadian rhythm is altered. Some people tend to sleep early and wake up early in the morning and some cannot sleep early and as a consequence, wakes up late. These and other sleep-related problems are manifestations of a malfunctioning biological circadian clock and characterize several forms of Circadian Rhythm Syndrome. Circadian rhythm is a unique by 24-hour period or cycles in which our body is physically patterned.24-hour vs. 25-hour cycleEarth rotates around the sun in a 24-hour cycle, so as our body functions in this 24-hour time schedule. All living organisms charismatically subscribe to this cyclic res

Ruth Brown with Deborah Harry on the set of 'Hairspray' (pictured left)Ruth Brown, the gutsy rhythm and blues singer whose career extended to acting and crusading for musicians' rights, died last Friday in her Las Vegas home aged 78 . The cause was complications following a heart attack and a stroke suffered after surgery, she had been on life support since October 29th.Ruth Brown sustained a career for six decades, her magnificent voice could "sell" a song (sometimes in spite of the song itself), and with the greatest number of singles issued by a female singer on the Atlantic label, she made trip after trip to the R&B charts. In fact, Atlantic Records was sometimes referred to as "The House That Ruth Built"Then in 1988 she hit the big time again starring in the John Waters movie 'Hairspray' in the memorable role as the disc jockey Motormouth Maybelle.Ruth was born on 30th January 1928 and her funeral will be held this coming Tuesday, 28th November 2006.This Little
