Can We Revive The Dead With Nanotech?

His memory was intact.Earlier in the series, it was explained that the ability to heal can allow someone to regain lost memories. I'm wondering if this carries over into the real world. If we had nanotechnology that could allow us to infuse a living body with tiny machines that repair damaged cells and tissues, could we use that same technology on a corpse and obtain spectacular results? What happens when someone's been dead a day? Can the nanobots still revive them? What about after a month? A year? A decade?Would someone revived immediately remember the last thing that happened to them? Would the nature of the technology and the restorative functions be such that the brain is brought back to its previous state, memories and all?

Bid to revive Jakarta's Old Town faces serious obstacles
It was once known as the "Queen of the East" because of its architectural splendor. But, today, the Indonesian capital's old Dutch quarters and once magnificent buildings are crumbling and dilapidated, with little trace of their time of glory when Jakarta was an international trading center. "They're dying in front of your eyes. Some of these buildings have been rented out for gambling and prostitution," said Budi Lim, a conservation architect who has been involved in efforts to revive Old Town, or Kota Tua, for more than two decades. "Now is the time for the revival and renaissance of Kota." During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Jakarta, or Batavia as it was then known, was renowned for its picturesque Dutch colonial houses and tropical tree-lined streets. The city was dotted with grand mansions and country houses with wide verandahs, ideal for the warm climate, while palaces in the Greco-Roman classical style were also common features. How To Revive An Airline!!!
I came back from work yesterday and the first thing I do besides taking off my shoes and dropping my backpack is checking CNN International for the latest news, or whatever I missed while at work. There was the usual news (Mideast, North Korea, etc.) but this time, there was something quite interesting and it involved aviation. It’s not the story of the proposed space trips by several aviation bodies such as Virigin or EADS, but that of a struggling Ecuadorian airline. Now I look at this stricltly from a business point of view and not from an ethical persepective. This particular airline suffered from sluggish sales i.e. very low demand for its services. Traditional measures would have been cost cutting, more focused marketing, introduction of even more competitive prices and improved services. This airline (Icaro) did none of the above, but just introduced one more service (they didn’t even upgrade any of their other services): Drop-dead gorgeous models in bikinis!!!. Thi

I don't know what it is going to take to get through to our elected officials. In my entire life I have never seen any politician trying to push something so hard down our throats that we aren't even slightly interested in. You look at people like Johnny Sutton, Alberto Gonzales, Michael Chertoff and it's obvious they are nothing but toadies for George Bush. But people I really did respect such as Karl Rove and Condi Rice are going along with him as he ruins the Republican party and does such horrific harm to our great nation. I supported President Bush through 3 years of a war I felt from the beginning was wrong. I told myself and others that maybe WMD's werent really there as he said but it was still a noble cause to rid the world of a Saddam Hussein. But the inept handling of the war right from the start by Donald Rumsfeld, another Bush cronie that I once respected, and then in the occupation with Paul Bremer to now when we find ourselves in the middle of a civil war. Buick to revive Skylark nameplate in China
The Skylark had its days in the 80's and 90's. The impression that remained of the Skylark was certainly not positive. However, GM did not market the Skylark outside of the US. So the nameplate will be revived in China for the successor of their Excelle compact sedan, based on the Daewoo Lacetti. The Skylark will sit on GM's new Delta II platform, which will underpin the next Cobalt, G6 and Saturn Astra. The Skylark will be engineered and built in GM's Chinese facilities and it may be one of the first vehicles from GM China destined for the US. While we have little or no idea on how it will shape up, we can predict that it will be widely received in the US. The Park Avenue, based on the Holden WM Statesman, had a distinct interior designed in China and we still hear pleads from GM enthusiasts to bring it over to the US. While GM already had three compact cars in the pipeline, it wouldn't hurt for a fourth one. But the real question is: Are Americans ready for a compact Buick? We'l

Can Steve Holland revive Alex fortunes?
There was a bit of fuss in the local and national media last week as the Alex announced that the management team would, kind of, be reshuffled. Steve Holland would assume more first team responsibility, Dario Gradi would become Director of Football (whatever that is) and Neil Baker would be, well, Neil Baker. Holland has been around for a while (as the late-90s picture shows) pulling many of the strings at youth level. For years it's been a poorly kept secret that he would, one day, become king. A chat to a few people who are close to various club officials has revealed that Dario will not be in the technical area on match days.
