Revere it or Revile it ! But you just can ignore Vista's stare-in-the-face feature, lovingly called as the UAC !
Do something and you have the UAC popping up irritatingly in your face. Well, its a Security Feature actually, (but then again you had Mark Russinovich, a Technical Fellow in Microsoft's Platform and Services Division saying that the UAC was not a security feature!), and a good one at that ! Any change to the system is closely monitored by it. With this you learn to avoid installing potentially risky software or if some application is try to install itself or trigger any action, you are warned !

I was in Lynn, MA on Thursday evening test driving a car and the sales rep took me on the 'scenic route' along the beach in Revere. It was somewhat scenic, but what really caught my attention was all the construction that was going on alongside Revere Beach. Orange cones and barricades were up everywhere, limiting everyone to a single lane of traffic.Sure enough, today's Globe has an article describing the renovations that are going on right now. Click (here) to read the entire article. The Department of Conservation and Recreation is spending about $11 million dollars on renovations and the project is expected to take until early next year. If you don't mind dealing with the construction, the Revere Beach Sand Castle Festival just started this weekend and will continue on until July 15th. Click (here) for the festival schedule. Swing by to see the sand castles and grab a sandwich at the famous Kelly's Roast Beef. Know of Any Interesting Boston News or Events That You'd Lik
Abandoned Bunkers at Fort Revere...
Fort Revere located on Telegraph Hill in Hull Massachusetts. Originally known as Fort Independence, (not to be confused with Fort Independence on Castle Island in South Boston) it was used as an earthworks and battery encampment during the American Revolution for for the defense of Boston. It was later renamed Fort Revere, and around 1900 it was fortified with the bunkers you see here for use during WWI and WWII. Fort Revere offers a panoramic view of some of Bostons scenic harbor islands. Hull and Nantasket can be seen here in the background of the photo.
