After little-known Moscow newspaper the Moscow Korrespondent reported Russian President Vladimir Putin's plans to divorce his wife and marry a former gymnast Alina Kabaeva, officers of the Federal Security Service, the successor to the Russian intelligence agency KGB, reportedly went twice to interrogate the paper's editor about sources behind the story.Yesterday, the paper had admitted that the story had "no factual basis" after Aleksandr Lebedev, the billionaire owner of the newspaper, challenged staff to back up the claims or apologize. So alluring was the report of romance between Putin and Alina that publications all over Europe rushed to reprint a little-known Moscow newspaper's report that the former KGB officer had divorced his wife Lyudmila secretly and would marry his lover on Jun
The game hasn’t even been released in the PAL areas yet and it is driving the Internet and, I am sure, EA Games nuts already.
Now the latest rumour is that the price of Rockband is about to plummet tomorrow in Europe, that would be the area it hasn’t even been released in yet.
So does [...]
It was reported across the net and repeated here that Nokia dropped the price on the N810 Internet Tablet. Apparently there was a mistake because the price is back up to $439. Darn it! If you jumped on this mistake and actually got one, I hate you. You can enjoy a 15% discount by [...]
I know my earlier post poked fun at the Big D, but the reality is, the Metro Detroit area has charm all it's own. Other "miserable cities" included L.A. or New York, which people flock to all the time. So I don't think the rating score holds all that much weight when you factor in other benefits of the cities, like the fact that they are situated on major trade routes by land, air, and waterways. In fact, I've had the unique experience of diving into the Detroit River on New Year's Day. If you are really interested in how human reflexes work, I suggest trying that.I know a ton of musicians and artists that call Detroit home. Everyone knows it's the home of Motown and Techno, artists ranging from Aretha Franklin to the White Stripes. (Or my own band, En Passant!) In addition to playing out

Guess Roger couldn't hang with our comeback celebration. Torre confirmed at the yesterday's Yankee/Sox slaughter that Clemens would not be starting in the much anticipated White Sox game on Monday due to a groin injury. Not that I am convinced the Rocket is the key to the Yankees turmoiled season, but I do think he will provide a positive psychological surge to the Bombers. Where is the offense?? The starters are doing their part (bullpen could use some help), but how about some run support? Not panicking yet, as Boston will slip at some point, and when they do, the Yanks need to gain some momentum.
Did you hear about the State Department official who claimed on Al-Jazeera that history may show that the United States was arrogant and stupid in it’s handling of the Iraq war? Well suddenly he’s changing his tune.
Alberto Fernandez now say’s that he want's to take it all back. According to an E-mail sent from the State Department to reporters (allegedly from him) Mr. Fernandez states that “Upon reading the transcript of my appearance on Al-Jazeera, I realized that I seriously misspoke by using the phrase ‘there has been arrogance and stupidity’ by the U.S. in Iraq.” The E-Mail further states that “This represents neither my views nor those of the State Department. I apologize.”
Now I don’t know about you, but when I use words like arrogance and stupidity I normally don’t mean brilliance and humility. Those are some pretty straightforward, hard to good up kind of words. Their meaning isn’t at all subtle. For
I have to say that I made a mistake and went and took the media at their word when i trashed Al-Maliki for telling us to get out. Thanks a bunch to one of my commenters Monica over at GrizzlyMama for bringing this to my attention.I recently published a post called "al-Maliki says Arm Us, Leave..." about the Prime Minister of Iraq saying that Bush wasn't giving enough support, supply Iraq with arms, and we can leave thank you very much. I made a mistake. According to Gateway Pundit all of it was lies and completely out of context. I'll give you a few quotes but I really suggest you go to the story and read it in it's entirety, it's ridiciulous, here are the quotes from Gateway:Yesterday, Western news outlets published shocking reports (via Memeorandum archives) on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's press conference with reporters. The articles described a bitter and defiant man who was very upset with the assistance his country was receiving from the US. But, NOT ONE of the int
