So we have been in Bali for two weeks and we are starting to long for the road again. It has been an amazing place to visit and the people here are super friendly. Yet as with any journey this part must come to an end. Alie and I are thinking that we should head North to China. It is our plan to fly back to Bangkok and spend a few days in the city sorting out our Chinese visas. Hopefully we will not have any problems getting back into Thailand courtesy of the large “overstayed visa” stamps in our passports! I’m not sure if that is correct but I do know that times of change for `Creatives’ are often preceded by feelings of restlessness.
We all strive for peace in our lives but without these moods of restlessness we would not move forward and evolve new ways of working.
An example of this happened in my life. After ten years of living on the beach a restlessness emerged that was so strong I decided to move.

Im restless again. Im sleeping less at night. Im rolling around in bed. I cant concentrate on thoughts. My mind is all over the place. Im having all the same feelings as when I left on this trip. I remember hardly getting any sleep the night I left. I was full of excitement of how I took this huge dream and put it forward into reality. Now I am full of excitement of how I took this huge dream and am VERY close to accomplishing it.
The drive today was very similar to my first drive of the trip when I headed to my first host in Milwaukee. Maybe not all that similar, but it did rain almost the entire way and as I drive around in this area Im reminded of the Midwest, with more farms and corn in sight, and maybe just the air seems more familiar. Most of all, it must have been the excitement of the drive. I was hopping all over the place, or as much as you can while sitting in a car driving. As restless and anxious as can be.

The Popular Revolutionary Army (EPR) is claiming responsibility for another series of explosions that went off today on Mexico’s natural gas pipeline. This time around the attack caused national and international corporations were shut down in Mexico and many of these corporations will be facing millions of dollars in losses, according to CNNMoney.
Vitro SAB, a Mexican company that makes glass containers, said the shutdown of two plants would cost it about $800,000 a day. Vitro said in a statement that it was increasing production at other plants in Mexico to minimize effects on customers.
It is being reported that Honda Motor Co, Kellogg Co’s, The Hershey Co, Nissan Motor Co, and Grupo Modelo SA were forced to suspend or scale back operations because of the lack of natural gas. EPR issued a statement to the national and international mass media and to those who are fighting for human rights.

Fifteen years ago, I fractured my ankle. It required surgery, the insertion of one metal plate and four pins. My leg was placed in a cast and I was told to keep the leg suspended for at least 2 months. Despite the hospital noise and light, I was able to sleep.But what I can never forget is that my dreams were filled with running episodes and restless leg movements --me running up and down hills, even falling on the uneven grassy surface. I could feel my foot jamming into a hole and the movement of the fall would wake me up. Then I would lie in bed feeling silly because the cast was so stiff that I could not even wriggle my toes.I have since discovered that restless leg movements in sleep are common experiences. Right now I’m lying in bed unable to sleep. It’s 12:09am so you won’t be reading this until tomorrow and I’m damn happy that technology has become so pervasive, intrusive and miniaturized.
Why am I so happy? Well, as I mentioned earlier I can’t sleep. If it weren’t for my iPAQ I would be bored out of my proverbial tree.
Some might suggest that I haul my tired ass out of bed and go do something else. Unfortunately that’s not an option as we have guests staying and I don’t think they would appreciate my stomping around the house at this hour.
