Manny Villar resigned, Juan Ponce Enrile new Senate President
I just went out for some kitchen shopping in the neighborhood selling Noritake brand at very low prices and the big news came out from the radio. One of the possible presidentiable candidates for the 2010 election and currently the Senate President, Senator Manny Villar, resigned from its position. There are many speculations as to the real reason for his resignation but for whatever reason it may

A regional ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel was forced to resign Monday, becoming the first political casualty in Germany of the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis. Should HR send such an email to all employees in the company? If you are a HR personal would you have done this? This is the question I had when I saw such an email. I personally think that the HR should not do this or at least not to announce those resigned employees name and last day for service cos this would cause a big impact on the overall morale of the remaining employees.Think of it this wa

Clinton Clinton Chief Strategist Mark Penn has resigned
Man, go over to a friends house for a couple of hours and something huge drops! WOW! The News via the political wires is, that Mark Penn, Hillary Clinton's Chief Strategist Mark Penn has left Clinton's Campaign for President. You know, I will be honest with you. That guy really made me suspicious for the word go. I just wonder, what else was he up to?  The story is, that he was involved in working on a Colombian free-trade agreement that Clinton opposes. Not smart, not smart at all. I just wonder, and I am sure that many others are wondering to, is this the beginning of the end for Hillary's Campaign? I mean, people have said for weeks, that the wheels were coming off of her campaign, I just wonder if this confirms it or if this was just a necessary adjustment? Time will tel

Ashley Dupre - Why Spitzer Really Resigned ???
I thought it odd that a mere sex scandal would force a Democrat out of office - didn’t do the trick for Bill Clinton, Barney Frank or Gerry Studds, after all.Spitzer could have done the usual - for Democrats - song and dance about how its a private matter between him and his wife, yadda, yadda, yadda and figure that it’d be old news by the time he ran for re-election in 2010 (naturally counting on “how he’s grown since the scandal” stories from the MSM along the way…).But, he’s out - and out rather quickly. In writing Caucus of Corruption, Matt and I discovered that there is only one thing which will convince Democrats to force one of their own out of office - a risk to the power of the Democratic party as a whole. In the Spitzer sex scandal, there was no immediately apparant

      Howard "Cookie" Krongard Has Resigned
We actually have some good news today! Howard "Cookie" Krongard, the corrupt State Department Inspector General whose indescretions included:Lying to Congress about his brother, Alvin "Buzzy" Krongard, serving on the Blackwater board of directors at the same time that Howard "Cookie" Krongard was supposed to be investigating Blackwater in IraqStonewalling investigations into slave labor used to erect the enourmous United States Embassy in IraqAllowing the State Department to replace a legit audit of their finanicial dealings with a "clean audit" - twice- that looked better for the State DepartmentHas resigned from his position as the person in charge of oversight in the State Department! This is a good thing, and I'm going to take a day to enjoy it. However, our next task needs to be making sure that he's not just replaced by another "loyal Bushie".For the moment though, feel free to be happy about having a little less corruption in our government.

Randy Couture Explains Why He Resigned from the UFC
Hey guys, Sherdog has some exclusive comments from Randy and I wanted everyone to see it. Heres a snippet."The motivation for the decision is two-fold," he continued. "I know Fedor (Emelianenko) just signed with another organization and that's the only real fight that makes sense for me at 44 years old as the heavyweight champion of the UFC. That's the fight I wanted and if that can't happen it doesn't make sense for me to compete with all these other guys. And then obviously that's not going to happen now. And, two, I'm tired of being taken advantage of, played as the nice guy and basically swimming against the current with the management of the UFC. I have a lot of other things going on in my life that I'm doing just fine with. I don't need the problems. I don't feel like I get the respect I deserve from the organization, and that's motivation No. 2 for the letter of resignation that was sent today." Rumsfeld Resigned Before Elections
From the WaPo:Rumsfeld Resigned as Defense Secretary on Day Before ElectionsCRAWFORD, Tex., Aug. 15 -- Donald H. Rumsfeld, who came to symbolize the Bush administration's problems in the war in Iraq, resigned as secretary of defense one day before last fall's elections, although President Bush did not announce the move until the day after the elections. The White House confirmed on Wednesday that Rumsfeld's letter of resignation was dated Nov. 6, 2006, the day before voters -- many of them furious about the war in Iraq -- evicted Republicans from the leadership of the House and Senate.Deputy White House press secretary Dana Perino said that Bush received the letter and accepted Rumsfeld's resignation on Election Day. The president waited until the next day to announce that he was replacing Rumsfeld with former CIA chief Robert M. Gates.Bush said that the decision to oust Rumsfeld had come after a series of conversations with the then-defense secretary. That revelation angered many R

Suprise America - Karl Rove has Resigned
Now is it any wonder amidst the volatile stock market, excessive scandals involving the current administration, the conviction and pardoning of Scooter Libby that Republican spin doctor and strategist Karl Rove has followed Donald Rumsfeld into the ranks of Bush defectors. Karl “the architect” and “boy genius” Rove announced his resignation today to an apathetic United States who are more concerned with their plummeting 401K’s, the trouble brewing in the Middle East and the importing of tainted goods from China. There was no fanfare, there was no big celebration, there was just one man who was quietly trying to slink off into obscurity and out of the public eye that had already grown tired of the continual controversies and scandals surrounding Rove that he managed to squirm out of due to his close friendship with the administrations leaders. While the infamous gangster John Gotti was known as “The Teflon Don”, Rove could equally be tagged as &

M.I.T. Dean Who Resigned Has a Degree After All
In an odd twist to an already strange story, Marilee Jones, the former admissions dean at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who resigned last week after admitting that she had lied about her academic credentials, turns out to have a bachelor’s degree, but not from the institutions she had named on her résumé.Instead, M.I.T. officials said, Ms. Jones earned a B.A. in biology at the College of Saint Rose, an independent college in Albany, where she grew up. Officials at the College of Saint Rose confirmed that they had awarded a bachelor’s degree to a Marilee Jones in 1973, when Ms. Jones would have been 21.This from the New York Times.

Orioles Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joe Voss Has Resigned
I got this news from Ben of Oriole Central and also caught a thread on this on Orioles Hangout. Anyhow, it looks like Orioles Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joe Voss has resigned. This is what Drew Forrester of WNST posted on his blog earlier via WNST today: Posted by: Drew Forrester 5/2/2007 10:22 AM I reported at 9:30 am this morning that Joe Foss - the O’s Vice Chairman - has stepped down after nearly 14 seasons with the club. Not sure if it’s a “true resignation” or the “Davey Johnson-type resignation” (code word for: terminated), but my people are saying Joe took a new position with Erickson Retirement Communities. Evidently, this is something HE wanted. Anyway, I consider this to be MAJOR news. Not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, from an operations standpoint, but the fact that the #2 guy (Peter, of course, is #1 and Foss would have to be #2) has stepped down is a significant development, I believe. We’ll have more on it throughout

      Resigned To Fate
Looks like I won't be going to the YA Huge Camp. However, I will be going for the Impact Generation Camp that D'Stream is organising. I find it ironic that my father easily gave his blessing for me to go this time, and it's the one time that I won't be able to go. Oh well. I'm sure God has His reason.Oh yeah, last night the Youth Lifegroup reached a new level- there was 34 of us! And I really had fun with my group. Aldous went all crazy, acting gay, which made me suspect that someone (inspired by the chicks from John Tucker Must Die) actually fed him estrogen! =^^=

Chairman Of Parliament Back Benchers Resigned
Datuk Sharir Samad, the chairman of the Backbenchers' Club in Malaysia Parliament, resigned. He did so after supporting the Opposition Leader, Lim Kiat Siang who moved to eradicate corruptions in Malaysia. But the back benchers did not follow his example, and voted against the motion instead. Datuk Sharir felt that he no longer command the respect of his fellow backbenchers and does not find any reason to stay as leader of the backbenchers club. He does not want to play the role of a rubber stamp in the Parliament, he wants all Members of Parliament to uphold their dignities and have own rights of decision.I tip my hat to a politician who lives up to his principals here.
