John McCain has a problem with Republicans. His campaign has thrown a curve ball to the GOP, which has been vocal in its past criticism of him. Some Democrats simply don't understand what it means to be an opposition party.

What's worse is their tendency to create new evidence to support their opinions when all the real evidence has failed them. The US health care system costs more money than any other industrialized
and, naturally the Clinton supporters are not amused. The Story: Lanny Davis: Two Questions for Senator Obama (via The Huffington Post) 1. If a white minister preached sermons to his congregation and had used the "N" word and used rhetoric and words similar to members of the KKK, would you support a Democratic presidential candidate who decided to continue to be a member of that congregation? 2. A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican’s pocket and gave the homeless person fifty dollars.
Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats

That's according to a Pew Research study, which finds that while most acknowledge that the surge has managed so far to appreciably suppress sectarian and insurgent violence, many do not see a compelling reason to continue our present military commitments there.Two-thirds of Republicans (67%) currently favor maintaining troops in Iraq, little change from February (71%). Just 39% of independents and 21% of Democrats want to keep troops in Iraq.If these numbers are accurate, it adds another reason to be skeptical about the data we keep seeing from old-fashioned telephone polls that rank candidates. That 33% bloc of Republicans not in favor of maintaining troops in Iraq have only one candidate to turn to if they intend to vote in the GOP primaries. And let's not kid ourselves. If Republicans are to have a prayer in the general election the party will need to court Democrats as well as independents. Playing solely to the base will ensure a defeat. Now that the religious right has become dominant in the party, many Republicans are questioning whether this is the direction they really want the party to move in. Peggy Noonan writes that the increased importance of religion in the Republican race is not progress. She writes:
Christian conservatives have been rising, most recently, for 30 years in national politics, since they helped elect Jimmy Carter. They care about the religious faith of their leaders, and their interest is legitimate. Faith is a shaping force. Lincoln got grilled on it. But there is a sense in Iowa now that faith has been heightened as a determining factor in how to vote, that such things as executive ability, p
So some random website is reporting that Korean scientists have cloned cats but with a sciency twist. The twist? Obviously they made the cats glow in the dark. Now there’s every possibility that this is a hoax - most likely on the part of the internet, but it’s true that the Korean’s now have a track record of clone hoaxes. On the other hand I can now make my first lolcat. A momentous day is today.
Having one of those cats around might be scary, you know, when they decide it’s time to jump on your head in the middle of the night. Not as scary as this, though… apparently there’s some new marketing technology that more or less projects voices directly into your brain. Granted, it’s better than mounting a loudspeaker on a billboard and blasting this to the world to see, but really… it seems somehow… not right. It will either make you watch TV or perhaps it will drive you into a crazy killing frenzy. One or the other.
And speaking of
