I have watched Celebrity Rehab and I have to tell you that it is like a citcom. The fact that these people in Celebrity Rehab downplays the real importance of a drug addiction rehab. It is as if drug addiction rehab is not important as the major of element is automatically breached, as well as, it looks like the celebrities on Celebrity Rehab are acting.
I saw one actor on a talk show recently and he tried to describe celebrities as different, especially regarding their access to drugs and less than desireable people. It show just how little they or he is getting out of drug addiction rehab. Their access to drugs is no greater than a physician or pharmacist and the illicit individuals they speak of are no worse than a heroin addict meets on the street every day.

Taxes are a part of legislation without representation. Unless a majority of citizens were for these taxes, they were approved by legislators who weren't representing the interests of the people. As to looking for ways to get around the system, it is sad that this is happening. Maybe if we all work together to fix the system, we will have a system where there is no need to find ways around it.

I still see taxation without representation happening, how were they able to raise our sales tax by 1%? I don't understand how that happened, everyone I talk to about it is not happy about it at all. We are taxed over and over, payroll tax, property tax,capitol gains tax,inheritance tax,sales tax...over and over. If your a small business owner, it gets even worse with all the fee's and insurance requirements. It's no wonder people are always looking for ways to get "around" the system.
How long do you think it's been since our representatives HAVE done their jobs? I was raised to believe that my vote counts and that you have to stand up for what's right. It's hard not to throw in the towel because it's almost impossible to find someone who really wants to make a difference for the people! Everytime you turn around another senator or congressman is being accused of something. Is it possible that we have just become numb to it? I mean, no one even seems to be shocked anymore when the latest scandal breaks! That's what I think is the real shame.
Of late, I have had a huge number of emails asking me what I think of this particular law firm. As the premier law firm that advises doctors, it has failed miserably. Infact, in 1998 it failed me. They though know about their flawed representation and the fact that it has taken me nearly a decade to clean up their mess. They have nothing to say in this matter because they got their money from the MPS and I got nothing. The fact though is this, when I was a junior doctor - editing a controversial website wasn't on my agenda and infact it was the last thing on my mind. Sadly, we were forced to write about all our experiences to assist others who find themselves in exactly the same predicament. My previous solicitor in the libel case ( R Pal v GMC) told me that litigation is often mistaken as justice. I suppose like medicine it has its flaws - it can only go so far. The FX Networks’ new show “Dirt” will premier sometime in January 2007 and is about a female editor of two tabloid magazines. The network advertises this new show with a series of flashy commercials and a catchy song. Obviously, the title of the show “Dirt” correlates to the dirt these magazines compile about the lives of celebrities. However, the advertisements lend themselves to feminist interpretation because this “dirt” occurs only in conjunction with the female body. Any feminist interpretation can easily supplant the notion that the representation of women and dirt in these commercials exist only to illustrate the connection between the female editor and the dirt she dispenses to the masses. Coincidentally the metaphor women are dirt is a very old idea and one embedded in the discourse of popular culture and evident in these commercials.
