      Non-Reporting Shells
Clean shells don't exist. Among the dirtiest of dirty shells are non-reporting shells. A shell is a company that's trading but lacks assets. Usually, the private company buys the shell and puts their business into it. It rarely works out well for the private company. As I read Section 5 of the 1933 U. S. Securities Act, the only American stock that should be publicly traded are the shares of

Update: Reporting and Documenting the Pro-Discrimination Conference Call
A short post at the end of the week to update you on what’s happened regarding the conference call I mentioned on Monday. The call promoted discrimination/segregation of work. I will remind you that my coworker asked me to stay out of the situation, since I was not on the phone call. I will also remind you that my coworkers do not want to go to EEOC at this time. Anyway, here’s what’s happened:1. My coworker documented the call, including who specifically said what about the intentional discrimination and segregation of work assignments;2. My coworker conducted research into anti-discrimination laws;3. My coworker wrote a memo to our supervisor, which included the specifics of what happened, strong language regarding how offensive the call was (including statements made by White cowo

It's easy to see why the MSM talking heads are so obsessed with any bad economic news: if arrogance and conservative-bashing are no longer enough to ensure one's continued employment in the MSM, then the economy MUST be in shambles.Red Planet Cartoons has a good point in their latest, "Hoping for Recession". MAIA’s Innovative Product Strikes The Right Chord With ClientsAMERICAN scientist Carl Sagan once said, knowing a great deal is not the same as being smart. Intelligence is not information alone, but also judgement, the manner in which information is collected and used. This holds as good for companies as it holds good for individuals. Companies are accumulating information all the time, sometimes much more than they can manage. The collective corporate memory of all such information can be mindboggling and companies may struggle, and eventually fail, to effectively use it for decision making. One fallout of such complexity is that a company might be sitting on information that it desperately seeks, but simply does not know that it exists. It was this problem that gripped the minds of Sanj

The Importance of reporting Non-Paying Bidders
It is very important that all sellers with non-paying bidders file non-paying bidder alerts and final value fee credits 10 days later if payment is still not received.Filing the FVFC has better results than leaving negative feedback - a buyer with three FVFC filed from three different sellers is suspended (usually) from using E Bay. Leaving negative feedback only gets a buyer suspended when their feedback number gets into the negatives (usually -3, but sometimes even that doesn't occur). It is also important to file for the correct reason - that the buyer didn't pay. If they don't pay, don't file "mutually agreed to cancel the transaction" - that does NOT place a black mark against the buyer and allows the buyer to continue doing the same thing to other sellers. If you review a buyers feedba

MSM Fail to Understand the FairTax before Reporting about It
For full disclosure, I am a huge proponent of the FairTax, but I am not sure whether Mike Huckabee would be a good President. Nevertheless, I am so sick of ignorant liberal journalists reporting about the FairTax and having no clue what the heck they are talking about. It has gotten to the point where people can objectively turn to bloggers if they want to be informed rather than the MSM. In... McCain Lobbyist Story: Spin, Smear or Straight Reporting?
Hires high-priced attorney Bob Bennett to deal with story he called "Gutter Politics"The expected denials of an earlier story posted on the Drudge Reports website about presidential candidate, John McCain, and memebers of his campaign staff pressuring the New York Times to spike the story were issued a few hours ago.Sen. John McCain said today that he has "never done any favors for anybody -- lobbyist or special-interest group" as his presidential campaign rushed out a statement denouncing allegations that he did anything to benefit a specific Washington lobbyist as "gutter politics." McCain took the unusual step of hiring Washington insider and super-lawyer Bob Bennett to deal with a story he characterized as nothing more than "gutter politics".The AP reported on earlier reports that McCain favored a lobbyist--the Keating Five.Sen. Cancer Patients Gain From Reporting Symptoms Online
Having cancer patients report to doctors on their symptoms and side effects online may improve their care, a new study finds. Even the sickest cancer patients are willing and capable of reporting their symptoms online, says a team from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. “Cancer care has become increasingly complex, causing office visits to become more compressed. This makes it challenging for the clinician to comprehensively assess each patient’s symptoms in that brief window of time,” study author Dr. Ethan Basch, a medical oncologist, said in a prepared statement. “Because cancer therapies can be highly toxic, early detection of symptoms and timely treatment is vital. What is exciting to us about online self-reporting is that patients can alert clinicians to crucial symptoms in real time,” Basch said. The study included 107 lung cancer patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy who had access to a secure Internet patient reporting s

      Pineapple Reporting For Duty
Of course, I'm still on the fence about this whole job thing. I have to get up and go to work for 8 whole days (7 to go) before I get any paid holidays. They are total slave drivers! Other than the whole unreasonableness of their willingness to give out paid holidays like candy and everyone I work with is nice (and it isn't just temporary behavior because this pineapple did a background check on these people -- or maybe I just talked to a former employee), I think this whole job thing might work out. I'm not exactly sure what my job really is, but I'm pretty sure I will be able to do it. At least I'm confident that once they give me a computer to produce actual work product that I will be able to do my job. Ain't government work swell?

Reporting Harassment is Not Just the Obligation of the Victim
When you’re being harassed and subjected to a hostile work environment, part of what happens is that you often feel isolated and you have fears (rational and irrational) that no one will believe the severity of the harm that you’re being subjected to at work. You feel like you have a bulls-eye on your back and you may feel like there’s nothing you can do to stop being a target. In fact, you may feel that reporting the harassment will do more harm that good.Let’s face it. Many people, regardless of race, are afraid to report sensitive issues to a supervisor, manager, director or a member of Human Resources. People are afraid to look like a whiner, a troublemaker or, when it comes to race, a race-baiter.When it comes to harassment in the workplace, it would be great if you would report the harassment to your supervisor. However, if you supervisor is the problem, you do not have to stay within your chain of command in order to deal with the problem. You have the right to speak to

That census was the first to allow respondents to identify themselves multiracially.Under the new guidance, schools are to collect data on students’ racial and ethnic identities using a two-question format. Does anybody know where to go for legal counsel regarding unfair credit reporting in NJ?
Does anybody know where to go for legal counsel regarding unfair credit reporting in NJ? I have been fighting BOA since 2005. I have all the documents sent to them so they can correct the adverse account entry on my credit report and they still give me the run-around. I tried writing to the credit bureaus too but all they told me was to write to BOA. I am tired of this game they are playing maybe it's time I sue them? The Answer : If you have well documented proof that:-you did pay the bill-you did notify them of the error-you did dispute this with the credit bureau...then by all means sue them. There is a very specific procedure you need to follow, but if you do it you have a very easy small claims lawsuit, and you will win $1000 for your trouble (plus legal fees). If you don't want to fight this yourself...look in the phone book for a lawyer that specializes in collections. If I want internet access, I have to pay $12.95 per day (from noon to noon). And it's much more cost effective to find a dry cleaner off the strip than to pay the astronomical fees this hotel charges. Not all chain hotels near the strip are like this.
