And the pear salad was divine.  I chose the veal, mushrooms, and asparagus with a glass of champagne. I was very happy with that selection.  My husband said the beef was excellent. He finished his meal with a perfect crème brulee and a Spanish coffee.  Our server, Lisa was very professional and quick. I had the pleasure of taking a tour of Renaissance Walk today with Angela, a Realtor for this new condo on Auburn Avenue in the heart of historic Atlanta. Renaissance Walk features one and two bedroom condos as well as offering three lofts and three cool penthouse suites. Florida-based Wild Sky Productions headed by Robby and Shannon Sinkler is putting on a birds of prey show that I had the pleasure to see last Saturday at the festival’s falconry stage. Almost a century-old, the Le Parc Hotel was formed by the merging of two main buildings and annexes. The first, at 55/57 Avenue Raymond Poincare, was built in 1912 and immediately became the residence of choice for the elite of Parisien society of the time. The second, the Hotel Particulier at Number 59, former residence of Alfred Nobel, is older, having been rebuilt in 1910 in the Art Nouveau style by architects Charles Letrosne and Camille Garnier, and holds a partial listing in the listings of French historical monuments. Though I don't necessarily agree with their assessments on the genre, and the article suffers from a bit of double-speak, it is an interesting enough read that should shed some light on how some people view the current status of the fighting game industry.It should be interesting to note though that the lack of any PC or import games listed for the releases is one reason why they have the rather downtrodden view of the genre currently. Fighting games as a whole are still incredibly strong over-all, but I will admit they have fallen a bit in prestige from US publishers. Following on from the success of the first volume, Transitions Vol. 2 does not disappoint. In fact, those who were less than enthralled with Vol. 1. may find the comparably somber and melodic Vol. 2 a bit more enjoyable. Mind you, if you haven't enjoyed Digweed's output over the last two or three years, this compilation will most likely prove to be no different. Digweed's sound is still firmly rooted in tech-house, and the cheeky electronic elements of many of the tracks included here will most likely annoy those fans who stopped enjoying Digweed after his last Global Underground CD. But if you have an open mind and an ear for melody, I assure you that Transitions Vol. 2 is among the finest compilations released in recent memory, and perhaps Digweed and Renaissance's finest compilation in the last several years.
