I had an amazing time last night at the reiki circle. It was more wonderful than words can say ! Their was 4 of us there and 2 masters, everyone was instant friends. Everyone received and gave last night. The feeling of working with a master to perform was amazing. The feelings that went through me and the energy are indescribable . During the time that i was receiving the master leaned over and whispered in my ear that my granddaughter had spoke to her and wants me to be at peace and no quilt. Of course the tears started but it was good tears .There is one every month ,so i cant wait to go back !

I just received initial training this weekend in the Reiki method of healing touch. Although I don't anticipate using it directly in my clinical practice, I am impressed by its theory and techniques for transmitting healing energy. Reiki uses the hands to transmit the universal life force ("rei" means unseen or spiritual and "ki" means energy or life force) to the self or another person in order to promote healing across the physical, emotional or spiritual levels of life. It was originally developed in Japan in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. Reiki utilizes and promotes a high level of spiritual intuition and intention in both the practitioner and recipient and is said to be incapable of causing harm. Reiki "treatments" are done fully dressed and although the original technique involves physical touch on various parts of the body it can also be used without physical contact. It is essentially an active meditative practice, which on the surface seems like a paradox. Reiki

I agree with some points outlined on this article below about some drawbacks from the misunderstood or distorted practices of conventional yogic traditions (such as worship of Guru or lineage, etc), however, i should also remind too that when the writer write “most” , it means that it does not necessarily means “all”.
Yes, many much more better(faster, easier, more practical, more convenient ways) paths have come to aid humanity at this dawn of Aquarian age, and one would be saving oneself from many unnecessary troubles by utilizing them. Both will lead to the same destination, but through different paths, obstacles and speed (just like comparing travelling by bicycle with by helicopter).

Ultimately everything in our universe is just energy. The illusion we call solid matter, when viewed closely scientists say, turns into protons, neutrons, and electrons, which when viewed even closer turn out to be nothing more than energy. He had a strange dream where the room, the house, and the lawn were filled with people who he did not know or recognize but he was not scared. His wife told him not to worry, that their daughter's friends were sending him healing and that apparently we were indeed all there with him! Guess what?
