I noticed a lot of the "messy-chic" hairstyles on women this year at the Oscars - in some cases it works:...and sometimes not so much:She looks like a man... well. Just keeping up with the status quo I suppose. Beautiful jewelry on Mrs. Garner's part, though.

I don't know why I thought of it, but I recently remembered something that happened when I was maybe 15. I was still living at home, but it was a very tense atmosphere. I always felt like there was a clear division of rooms in the house, where each family member could safely go. My dad has his bedroom and one living room. My brother and I had each of our rooms and the other living room was shared. The kitchen was neutral territory. We steered clear of each other and rarely spoke. I used the computer most often or holed myself away in my room all the time, reading a book. I was already failing school and covering my tracks with a lot of lying. My dad, bless him, made a last-ditch attempt to revive our ailing father-daughter relationship by suggesting one Friday, that he and I took a
From Easy Does It, January 27:"All of us have things we regret. But when regret takes possession of our thoughts and lives, we are in trouble.... To concentrate on lost opportunities or to wish the past was different opens the door to despair. All we can do is the best we can do at any given moment ".I think this is a great point. Regret leads to despair, simply because it is a form of "worry" over things that can't be changed. What can possibly result from such worry?Everything about it simply leads to despair, sorrow, self- punishing, and most of all- aggravation. Why didn't? Why couldn't? Why isn't?These three short statements are the source of so much heartache in so many lives. But when we reach a place where we believe that everything happens for a reason- that everything is meant t

Former House Speaker T.K. Wetherell, his university and alma mater stinging from the NCAA cheating investigation into some two dozen athletes' class cheating, issued a statement of "regret" over the incident.
He also outlined changes made to avoid such a problem in the future.
See below for the full statement, just released this morning:Florida State University deeply regrets that the misconduct of a few has affected so many.
It is important to understand that the violations focused on a poorly structured online course, lack of attention to detail by a faculty member, and insufficient oversight by the athletic department of one rogue tutor -- all coming together to result in a "contaminated" class.
No coaches were involved, and the student-athletes, who come from a number of sports, did not enroll in the course with the intent to do anything wrong. However, a university-employed tutor provided inappropriate help on exams, without the request of the student-athletes

Why did I write in yesterday's post the clarification that I do not support a pardon for Yigal Amir?It is just that I myself I'm shaped by the football character of political discourse, that I feared that passing criticism on those who protested against him, and esp. passing criticism on those who portray him as inhuman, might be understood that I subscribe to the preposterous campaign for his pardon.I reserve the right to denounce the murder, and at the same time not describe Rabin as a saint. I reserve the right to criticize Rabin, and at the same time contend that his second government was probably the best in Israeli history. I reserve the right to oppose vengeful comments on Amir's family, without this implying the slightest indication of endorsement of his views and obviously not of the murder.

Regret is present feeling of unhappy, loss, disappointment for an act you did in the past. A certain amount of positive regret is healthy and if you do correctly, you and your life may get surprise. But, if your regret turns small problem into bigger one, then this becomes unhealthy for you and it may lead you into some mental and psychological diseases such as depression. Here is some tips on how to get rid of regret.1. Always look everything positively. Develop positive attitude and behaviour in you. Your outlook on everything will be mapped in the same way in your mind and all output or result definitely will be positive, no doubt.2.Try to understand the reality of the world and everything. You have to face many bad as well as good events. Enjoy your good events and never be unhappy for bad events. That is also part of your life. As much as we would like to think of past mistakes as a learning experience, there are certain errors that we wouldn’t mind having corrected. Join me in doing the following exercise, in order to realize which mistakes we’re able to correct before they occur.
While You Were Sleeping
Tonight you’re going to fall asleep, just as you normally would. Only this time, you’re going to have a dream, in which you meet your future self. You’ll sit down and discuss what went on in those fifteen years, between now and then.
Your future self will fill you in on the joys and sadnesses of what had happened. He’ll also share his regrets and plead with you to do things differently this time around.
What would you do differently if you got to do fifteen years all over again? No, not the past fifteen, but the next fifteen.
Would you make sure you exercised every single day?
Would you read more books and expand your mind?
Would
A couple months ago, I saw Ann Coulter sitting in the lobby of a hotel in downtown DC, right next to the entrance to the restaurant where my friends and I had gone to dinner. She was talking on her cellphone, and, at the time, seemed just like any other generic little blond-haired bimbo. In fact, I probably wouldn't have even noticed her without someone pointing her out.I think my first reaction was to be surprised that she was that little -- and that she looked way older in person. But I pretty much kept my observations to myself, since it's mean to call someone old. What I should have been looking for was some kind of mark of the devil. Not only does that woman have a ridiculous political ideology, but now she's making anti-Semitic comments.Someone needs to stop that woman. Seriously.I should have punched her in the face when I had the chance.
Today I have failed. I feel sad, ashamed and full of regret.Patience was not mine. I got mad and I tossed a Magnadoodle across the kitchen floor. Sweetpea refused to listen. And she's only 3. I had to scoop up my dog from under the side table because he didn't want to listen. He's a puppy. My voice got loud and I watched my children's faces drop. It didn't take me long to get back to calm, but the damage was done. Jekyll and Hyde visited my house this morning.School mornings are such a rush. I've tried getting up earlier and in turn, I get the kids up earlier. This does help the rush, but I always find myself in the position of nagging the kids to get ready to go. I get frustrated and I start to get overwhelmed.I know, what's the big deal about being late for school? Well first of all, I have to drive them to school. And I also have to bring Sweetpea with me, since I am the only parent most days. The Pre-K class is lenient - you can be a little late and the teach
In getting through of his life, people often face on some trouble. People often regretting the past and often wish to turn back the time and change their past. But, can we do that? Can we change the past? No matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, we could never back the time a second ago. A minute ago, an hour ago, a month ago, further more many years ago. They are all has past. When it is so, and it is so, then why do we have to be sorry and always regretting the past?Would it be better if we use our time, our energy and our mind to do the best we can do for to day and for this moment only? So, what is regret for?

So I have a few days off starting next Thursday (8/16) until Sunday (8/19) with absolutely no committments and no work at the restaurant.
Why am I telling you this? Because I want to do something. I got about a dozen emails from people in North Carolina when I said I was coming through for a couple of weeks. I had way too many responsibilities to take advantage, but now I want to go on a small little road trip and make way around the southeast.
I’ll be starting in northeast Florida and going whereever the wind takes me. If you’ve got a spare couch (or bed!), I’d love to stop by. And if I stop on by, I’ll buy you a few rounds of beers or nectarinis or sodas or smoothies or whatever your heart desires. Hell, I’ll buy you some chicken if you want it.
Just email me at iserveidiots@gmail.com with what city you’re in, maybe a little bit of contact info and I’ll try and create a four-day roadtrip. If everything goes as wildly as I hope it will, I&rsqu
Regret is a word we use when we think of an unwanted past, that we wish we could change, this is regret, remorse, the torturing of one's self for the past.I was thinking of this word, i imagine regret as a torturer with its big whip, but not any torturer one of our own creation, to hurt ourselves for a mistake, or a wrong done long time ago, but yet we figured it for being wrong recently.I wonder if its wrong now, and we regret doing it, wasn't it wrong then?? well the answer is no its not wrong then, because we enjoyed it, we lived it, and it had its beautiful taste, but wrong now because its causing us to think the question with no answer WHY, there is no why, it just happened.for this i say never regret, don't create your own torturer, look at the past and think of it as experiences you learned from, and there are no regrets in learning, a person with no regrets is a happy one, i stopped regretting a long time ago, i have no regrets for anything, because i learned, maybe it was a
Here's some good advice concerning so-called bomohs in east Malaysia (Borneo):
Women are advised to stop believing that bomohs (traditional healers) could help solve their health or personal problems.
State OCCI SAC II Mohd Abdul Razak Hussain said some of these so-called bomohs are only either out to make a quick buck or take advantage of their vulnerability by raping them.
"They (women) may end up regretting the rest of their lives," he said, when commenting on a case of two sisters, aged 16 and 20, who were raped by a 29-year-old bomoh in Sipitamg and Beaufort, recently.
Mohd Abdul Razak said the two sisters went to see the bomoh to seek his service to treat their brother who they believe was possessed by evil spirits.
The bomoh told the 20-year-old girl that she was possessed also and needed to undergo treatment and cleanse her body.
She agreed to go through the process and checked into a hotel in Sipitang where the bomoh ordered her to take off her clothes and raped her.

flangracneig pgoramian Just a short one today I’m afraid. I’d love to say I had a brilliant excuse, but I am a little down after a rather lackluster Champions League Final. Seems like this football season began with the phrase “Maybe…Just Maybe”, and ends with the phrase “Close…So Close”. Ey Well, there’s always next year.
So, umm, yeah. My biggest regret with my blog is relying too much on Adsense in the early days of the blog, so my last piece of advice is to “Use many different methods of advertising as you are comfortable in using”. Below are some more I use.
Chitika eMiniMalls are those product listings up the top. So far, they’ve earnt me quite a lot ($4, which for 2 days, isn’t bad). I have heard they’re more for people who blog about specific items, rather than a “catch all, whatever the hell I want”, such as myself. You get a selection of items to advertise, depending on their nic
I have never really understood people who say that they have no regrets, perhaps because I have lots of regrets. I regret all the times I have been unfair or even mean to friends as well as strangers, I regret the fact that I drank too much as a teenager, and I deeply regret having spent a good part of my life watching sunset beach. It seems to me that whoever claims he or she have no regrets is rather naïve. My most recent regret is my engagement ring choice. At the time when I bought the engagement ring that my fiancé is now wearing, I wanted the most beautiful ring I could find (obviously). I finally settled on a ring made out of white gold with a small ingrained diamond. It is in this that my regret lies. Two factors have made me wish that I had not chosen a diamond ring. The first is the truly excellent Edward Zwick movie, Blood Diamond (see picture), starring Leonardo Di Caprio. Indeed it has all the attributes of a typical Hollywood epic, but it also sends a strong resounding
There was this guy who believed very much in true love and decided to take his time to wait for his right girl to appear. He believed that there would definitely be someone special out there for him, but none came.Every year at Christmas, his ex-girlfriend would return from Vancouver to look him up. He was aware that she still held some hope of re-kindling the past romance with him. He did not wish to mislead her in any way. So he would always get one of his girl friends to pose as his steady whenever she came back. That went on for several years and each year, the guy would get a different girl to pose as his romantic interest. So whenever the ex-girlfriend came to visit him, she would be led into believing that it was all over between her and the guy. The girl took all those rather well, often trying to casually tease him about his different girlfriends, or so, as it seemed! In fact, the girl often wept in secret whenever she saw him with another girl, but she was too proud to admit i
Before you start shopping for your auto insurance quotes it can seem like a daunting prospect. So much choice, so many companies clamouring for your attention. So where do you start, and what three aspects MUST you consider before buying? Well, the first key is to realise that shopping for auto insurance is not just about price. There are several key components to consider before you put your money on the table and get your car properly covered. Three aspects of auto insurance that you should examine separately are: 1/ Liability Insurance which helps you tide over various financial burdens in the event of any accident. 2/ Body coverage - This is a sub-category of liability insurance, and covers any claims by the other party for medical expenses in case of a car accident where you are found to be at fault. 2/ Property damage cover - This is a sub-category of liability insurance, and covers any claims of damage to vehicles, buildings, or other property caused by an accident where you

March has been one of my best months revenue wise here at Bill2me dot Com. I've also seen some significant traffic growth and, best of all, some great new commenters! Along the way I also managed to rebuild my template, update my diggIntegrator plugin, and more. Of course it hasn't all been good. Along the way I've made a few mistakes and learned a few lessons.
While the month isn't over yet, I thought I'd take a moment to share my blogging regrets from the last few weeks. Feel free to jump in if you think I missed something.
Rushing Things: By far my biggest regret this month was rushing the release of the digg Integrator plugin. While it appeared to be working on my test site and my live site it ultimately wasn't. The first few people who downloaded it probably got copies that weren't working which is never a good thing.
Not Checking Facts: I goofed a couple times this month with people's names and Blog names. I tried my best to correct all those mistakes but I should
While no blog post can adequately address the realities and implications of “regret aversion,” I wanted to alert you to its existence and possible resources for learning more.
Simply stated, we feel regret and remorse more for actions we DID take than for actions we DID NOT take. One way to understand this is that we feel pain that comes from personal experiences, especially of loss (staggering losses in the market, for example) because we lived it, experienced it, and it affected us deeply. The negative feelings from this experience are often easily brought to memory and we tend to take actions to avoid these feelings in the future (when confronted with a decision that may result in similar pain).
On the contrary, it is difficult to internalize the feelings of missed opportunity to such a degree, because the regret from the missed experience is not felt as deeply. Such memories (for example “I saw a trade set-up and did not take it and if I did, I would have made

And MOST PEOPLE also never resolve their problems, challenges and difficulties, instead, they find compromises that suck the zest out of their lives.EVERYONE, except for the arrogant and foolish, could use some assistance to meet their targets, aspirations and dreams; faster, better and more easily. EVERYONE could benefit from huge savings / gains of both time and money. After all, even the best of the best have blindspots and unknowns. This is very clearly observable in the famously work called the Johari Window, done by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham.Clearly blindspots can be uncovered and the great unkno

One thing about ebay though it can be slightly cheaper then buying directly from shops or online shops but they usually bump up the postage and packing which i guess you know before you even buy so its the buyers choice really.
One thing though, what a rip off though, ebay sellers have to pay ebay charges once their item is sold and again pay another set of charges if the buyer pays through the RECOMMENDED and much advertised and affiliated paypal ( which is also owned buy ebay).
Bad for the seller but lots of free money rolling into ebay headquarters, surprised no one has ever taken ebay to court over this, where is people power?
