For many years there have been a lot of complaints and rumours about registerfly. But lately the problem has got dramatically worse. RegisterFly crumbles under relationship problems of its two co-owners This week marked a big week for two major domain registrars, GoDaddy.com and RegisterFly. With the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers' (ICANN) approval, GoDaddy.com this week obtained all 850,000 generic top-level domain (gTLD) names previously held by RegisterFly. Existing RegisterFly customers will be able to access and manage their domain names from GoDaddy's website. The registrar handling the transfers will temporarily hold the names and help registrants transfer to any ICANN accredited registrar of their choice.
“Registrants are our first concern. ICANN is following a very determined approach to returning access to domain name registrants impacted by the collapse of RegisterFly,” said Dr Paul Twomey, ICANN President and CEO. “ICANN knows that many registrants are anxious for a transfer to occur. We are committed to making sure this process is put in place as quickly as possible. While w
ICANN has finally firmed up in its battle with troublesome domain registrar Registerfly and looks ready to battle the company in court.
