Take Two: We Refuse To Milk Franchises During the firm's quarterly earnings conference call, Take Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick bluntly denied the possibility that they would be releasing new games for their main franchises on an annual basis. Zelnick claims such tactics lead to a drop in the overall quality of a title, and that Take Two is "driven first and foremost by making the best games in the business. You can't do that on a clockwork type schedule." As he continues, the CEO also makes an excellent point about the annual release cycle leading to gamers being utterly burned out on certain titles. About two weeks ago now, I had the second of my cooking classes up in Bedford, PA. The first class had a waiting list that was almost long enough to fill the second class, so we just decided to run my first class over again for those who couldn’t fit in the first time around. Two officers and 10 soldiers were sentenced to 28 days in an army jail for refusing to participate in the expulsion of Jews from their homes in the former Hevron marketplace.The original group of 30 soldiers, all hesder yeshiva members of the elite Duchifat combat unit, balked when they were given their orders to replace Border Police officers during the expulsion. Many of you Microsoft veterans will remember the extremely unpopular Microsoft Works that is being increasingly phased out due to lack of use by the public. Microsoft have recently made a statement saying that they shall be introducing an advert-supported version of Works which will be completely free, as they are refusing to allow it to be phased out. “We’ve put a lot of thought into the implementation of advertising in Works, a lot of careful research in designing the ads in a way that’s not overly intrusive,” Stern from Microsoft said. Personally I don’t see the point in trying. Busy, busy, busy Busy, busy, busy.  That’s really all there is to it this week.  I have done nothing at all besides work, work, and more work and I’ll tell ya, I’m starting to feel the burn.  On the bright side, it’s been going remarkably well.  All the pictures have been taken and edited, all the product descriptions have been written, all the packaging has been settled on and prices decided.  I even designed and drew a logo.  This weekend should find the website completed and, with a little research and testing at the beginning of next week, I should be ready to go.  Sadly, all of this was of little consolation to the cats who decided that my absence was unacceptable and informed me of this by peeing.  On my pillow.  In my bed.  While I was using it.  There’s really nothing like waking up to warm puddles.  I imagine it’s not that different from waking up with a severed horse head in your bed.  Only, perhaps, a little scarier.   And now,

My TV boss is studying the feasibility of co-producing another children's show, which will be hosted by the country's first...nah, it's still in the works. Can't tell you the concept yet.But she has already offered me the possibility of a head writer position for the show. I asked if when is the planned pilot. She said it will be on October 7.Oh no, October 7. That means I will be having 3 different writing works for the whole month of October.
