Well, it seems the mrs. wants me to do some serious redecorating in my office. Personally I like it, but she thinks the place is a wreck and what she wants she gets. Right now she has me out shopping for new office furniture at like every place in town to find the, how did she say, perfect new ensemble for the office. I am so not looking forward to this at all. It is going to be lots of work and i
I have redone my house more than anyone I have ever met. I am just one of those people that sees something and realizes that it could always be better. For instance, the other day the wife and I were out looking at patio furniture and saw this incredible set that we loved. Well of course it doesn't match anything else we got going on back there, so now the whole back yard is about to change. That
One of the best and worst things about moving to this new house is getting another opportunity to decorate. While I liked a lot of the things we did in the other house, I’m also one of those people who...

The dirt and dust is just not fun to be around at all. So we are trying to get everything done before we move in. We are redoing all kinds of stuff that will make the place so much nicer. I am talking about everything from lighting fixtures to shower faucets. It is a lot of work but is going to be so worth it in the end.

1. Warm up your living areas with textured, natural elements.

It seems like every task they ask me to do that I complete they send me out again in an attempt to get me killed. I realize that probably isn’t the case but still it doesn’t help much when they ask me to do things like today. I mean, things sound simple enough, destroy a few predators at location X, drop a beacon, and wait as they bring in air support.
What they failed to mention, or I failed to hear, was that this location was not just a launching point for some Bane Predators but instead a location surrounded on every side by Bane. Not fun. One Predator, alone I can handle, two if I am uncharacteristically lucky, but more than that, and especially throwing in Thrax soldiers, or those ugly snot slug things and it becomes a little much.
To say that I was successful would be overstating the facts of the matter. I managed to survive, and I managed to place the beacon, but it wasn’t pretty. These abilities are not just useful for hurting, though I don’t seem
Trying to get your room to look spicier, more happening and more interesting? We’ve got just the thing for that. Try to think outside the norm and try a bamboo telephone stand or serving tray as your nightstand topped with a lush potted plant. With all the darker tones, it’s important to keep your window treatments light and airy with gauzy fabrics. You can step up your jungle theme by adding a gauzy canopy over your bed as well. For the walls, keep them lighter using caramel or tan tones. This keeps up with the safari theme we’re after.

Sometimes, when you say home decorating or redecorating, it can be a very tedious job. Here are some simple decorating ideas that you can follow:
1. Home architectural design
Begin your home decorating plan with your home’s architectural design. Make sure that it will not go against your home’s design. For example, cottage type homes look great when decorated with a more casual country decor with floral, checks, linen, cotton and cheery colors. Go with your home’s design and surroundings and you’ll be well on your way to creating a natural, well balanced, inviting atmosphere throughout.

I did some house cleaning. A little redecorating around here, can ya tell? I know, a prison reform blog that is all pink and sparkly is a little odd but I like it. It fis my personality and we can all count our blessings that I dont have a big ol' Hello Kitty on here somewhere.NNow that I finaly finished this huge writing assignment for my online content job (thanks Nikki)I can get back to my book for a few. I wrote a letter to Michelle Byroms son. He is actually in Parchman, the Mississippi prison that has been making headlines for its horrendous conditions.I also wrote another letter to federal inmate Angela Johnson. She seems like such a neat lady. She made me this really beautiful card, I was amazed. Lastly, I sent a copy of the Florida Support newsletter to Kimberley McCarthy.I miss Kim. I really enjoyed writing to her. She used to be married to the leader of the Black Panthers at one time. She is convicted of killing her elderly neighbor inan atmpt to find drug money. I wonder w
The editors at MySpaceDesigners, have a neat piece on green home design, they state that sometimes less is more, and to go beyond “aesthetics, efficiency and budget”.
-less is more, and reuse, reduce, recycle-
When one is considering a green home addition or green home remodeling job, ask the following questions:
Can I do without it?
Can I borrow, rent or find it used?
Can it be smaller, lighter or made from less?
Is it durable, reusable or multi-functional?
Is it available is a less toxic form?
Does it use renewable resources?
Is it recyclable or made with post-consumer recycled or reclaimed materials?
Is it available from a socially and environmentally responsible company?
Is it made locally?
This is good advice, as many times the immediate answer to a home upgrade is let’s shop, let’s buy this, let’s buy that, etc.
Consider instead re-use, reusing materials for walls, for light fixtures, for countertops, for floors. And using recycled goods, if y
Even though we've not gotten the call to relocate yet I'm already dreaming of how I'm going to redecorate my next home. I love moving in part because of the fresh start it gives you. New people, new cities, new foods and local fashions... new home decor! It's exciting!
In my many moves I've found that contrary to what I used to believe, the bedroom is one of the most important rooms in the
When you move often, you tend to redecorate often. (Homedecoratorscollection.com loves me). Oh, some things travel with you from home to home, like our beds, some of our furniture and of course small appliances, but it's also exciting to get new things and decorate in new fashions, tastes and of course with the 'style' of your new home. Because we tend to redecorate often I have to be careful
When we moved into our new construction home about 2 1/2 years ago I was anxious to get blinds up on the windows so we didn't give our neighbors free entertainment. Without having a plan for the whole decorating scheme I went to a large do-it-yourself hardware store and bought cellular shades for all the windows in the house. Last summer I finally replaced the family room shades with faux wood blinds that instantly transformed the room and improved the overall feel to a comfortable place to be. Now that I am embarking on a new career as a "happy housewife" I've been trying to bond with my home and get a feel for the rest of the decor that needs to be done. Our living room and dining room are needing blinds and artwork on the walls. I've enjoyed surfing through some online sites to get ideas but now I need to put those ideas to work. In the past 24 hours I've seen two different bloggers who have chosen 'Barley" colored paint, which I adore... and I'm thinking that with some ne
It's raining in Houston (again), and my friend Nora finished redecorating her kitchen today. Of course I just had to send something to outfit those new glass cabinets, and these glass pints by Emiko Oki are perfect to fit with her modern twist on a classic kitchen. Disguised to look like traditional pints, the glass creations are actually a wine glass, an ashtray, and a vase.
