The life of murdered journalist Shivani Bhatnagar would soon be made into a movie "Judgement" starring Sunny Deol and Sameera Reddy, director K.S. Adhiyaman told reporters here Monday.

The financial sector in India is likely to be less affected than similar sectors in most emerging economies by the turbulence in global financial markets, Y V Reddy, Reserve Bank of India Governor, said.The money, government securities and foreign exchange markets have been stable in India and, in our view, they may not be vulnerable in terms of direct and first-round effects, he said in a speech delivered in New York on Tuesday.The central bank chief said domestic output and prices are under pressure due to high global prices of food, fuel and metals, and the turbulence in the financial markets.
Dr Reddys Laboratories has acquired Jet Generici Sri, a company engaged in the sale of generic finished dosages in Italy. The deal has been completed via Dr Reddy`s Italian subsidiary, Reddy Pharma Italia SpA, which has been engaged in building a pipeline of registrations since its incorporation. The acquisition provides access to an essential product portfolio, a pipeline of registration applications, and a sales and marketing organization. Financial terms and conditions of the transaction are not being disclosed. Shares of the company gained Rs 18.75, or 3.11%, to trade at Rs 621.35. The total volume of shares traded was 39,985 at the BSE. (2.29 p.m., Thursday)
