Impartiality Does Not Exist; Manny Departs Out Of Red Sox Nation
It looks like MLB has laid down the law for the near-beanball activity at Yankee Stadium and it's not good for the Orioles. Fair, or not fair, Daniel's lack control and emotion may seem to have caught with him.It doesn't matter who you are -- if you're a repeat offender, whether throwing at someone was intentional or not -- you're going to most likely suffer. As with anything in life, once you hav

Morning Notes: Red Sox Nation calls Safeco Field home
The number of Red Sox fans at the game last night was embarrassing. I fully expect to see those same people wearing Cubs jerseys next year during interleague play. Read my extended rant here. Back to the game: Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester of Tacoma went 7-1/3 innings and former Mariner farm hand Jason Veritek hit a two-run homer as Boston beat the M’s 4-0. Big ups to The Mitten’s brother-in-law

Red Sox Nation - Bust Your Budget With a Smile
Even those who hate baseball in New England, love the Boston Red Sox. We are a Red Sox Nation. Every Boston Red Sox home game since May 15th, 2003 has been sold out. That’s over five years. I... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Security 1, Red Sox Nation 0
This Fenway Park security guard has fulfilled the dreams of all who don't count themselves a member of Red Sox Nation. How many times do you have the chance to drop a Red Sox fan with a forearm shiver in front of 35,000 people?

99% of Baseball Reporters are Members of Red Sox Nation
Rant time -The anti-Yankee media bias is once again driving me nuts. There are 2 kinds of Yankee-killing pieces. The first is the kind that attempts to have a reason why the Yanks stink and the Sox are the best team ever. From Yahoo -(the Sox are)...one of the best rosters in recent memory. Better than the Yankees, who are counting heavily on young pitchers and aging position players...Sanity check -Starting lineup average age Yanks - 28.7 years; Sox - 28.4 yearsRotation average age Yanks - 29.0 years; Sox - 29.0 years(I included the older Yankee lineup with Hmat at DH and Giambi at 1B. If you put Duncan at DH the Yankee lineup is actually 28.1 years average - younger than the Sox'!)Both teams employ older veterans, veterans in their prime, and youngsters in both the lineup and rotation. DIRECTV Shuts Out Red Sox Nation
Many fans in Red Sox nation are upset this morning with DIRECTV. After waking up early across the country to watch Boston take on the Oakland Athletics in the first game of the 2008 baseball season in Japan, many DIRECTV customers were greeted by a blank screen on ESPN2. Some had access on [...]

Imperial Patriots of Red Sox Nation
After New England resisted the temptation to run up the score in the last two minutes of Super Bowl XLI ½ Bill Belichick almost smiled, and the players resisted the temptation of dumping a bucket of gatorade over his head, knowing it would result in the creation of a multitude of little Belichickins—something the world needs as much as a slew of Little Cheneys. But the grumpy one, did manage to cross the field and give an icy hand shake to the fellow known as the nicest coach in the NFL.However, that bit of courtesy, did not deter the Belichick from sending one of his minions running to the NFL whining how the Colts had been piping in artificial crowd noise, which made it impossible for him to communicate with Tom Brady during the latter part of the game. Of course, this most likely worked to New England's advantage. Brady, wisely chose to kneel on the ball and eat up the last two minutes, rather than risk interception and a loss, by going for seven more points, which would h

Red Sox Nation - You're welcome
It took 86 years for the Red Sox to win a World Series. Until 2004, I come along, get pregnant and *Wham*... World Series Champions. Three years later, 2007. All of Red Sox Nation barely dared to dream that another title could be ours again so soon. I get pregnant again and *Wham*... Another World Series Championship. And did I mention the winners of Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX, in 2004

Jimmy Kimmel Has Some Advice For Red Sox Nation
Jimmy Kimmel had a PSA on his show the other night, which I am sure you have already seen, because doesn't everyone in America watch his show? No? Really? Hmmm. Well, you should really watch this, especially if you are a Red Sox fan. Playoff Reflections, Day Fifteen: My trip to the Hub of Red Sox Nation, Rockies/Diamondbacks
Take a look at my playoff gallery here --- Red Sox vs. Indians - ALCS, Game Two....Greetings everyone! It’s so good to be back home in Maryland. Anyhow, I was up in Boston on Saturday to partake in the whole playoff experience as I caught Game Two of the American League Championship series as the Cleveland Indians took on the Boston Red Sox.I decided to hop on a quick flight on Airtran from Baltimore-Washington International to Boston, since I really didn’t want to deal with traffic driving through the Northeast and I kind of wanted to be home on Sunday. That was the smartest decision I could have ever made. I was in Boston in an hour, and on the trip, I met some wonderful people who came to the Washington area to house-hunt and we talked about baseball, life in Washington, and our jobs.As I got off the plane and was about to head to train station en route to Fenway, the very same people whom I chatted with on the plane gave me a ride to the Green Line so I could see the game.I gre

Videos: From Last Weekend, Red Sox Nation Takes Over...
You have to see this video to believe it; it's funny and made me snicker out real loud.Play it and see you'll what I'm talking about. After the Red Sox invasion of Baltimore, I was quite glad to see this video. Thanks to *ahorowit* for the video.God bless Youtube, and God bless the Internet....Again, if you were in Baltimore last weekend, Red Sox Nation took over. I found a few videos from WNST's own Nestor Aparicio as he chronicles what the area of Camden Yards looked like when the Red Sox were in town.Whatever you think of Mr. Aparicio and his radio network, what you see posted here is reality and should be enough to make any Oriole fan sick.Like I implored in a post earlier this week, when both the Red Sox and Yankees come in town, let's put our feelings toward Peter Angelos and the organization's futility aside. We need to really get out and support our boys in black and orange.

This Weekend in Baltimore; Red Sox Nation Takes Over - THIS HAS TO STOP
For those of you who do not live in Baltimore, or did not to come out and see the team, this is what life was like outside Camden Yards and in the ballpark. This is why more than ever, we have support the Orioles.Let us put the hatred for Peter Angelos aside when the Yankees and Red Sox come into town. When Russell St, looks like Kenmore Square and the Inner Harbor is awash in red and blue, we have problems.I am not putting the blame on Sox fans (actually, most of them are good people and have to no choice to come here to see their team because of the cost of Fenway); however, we Oriole fans need to stand and rise up.The reality is that the hardworking people of Oriole-land should not be blamed for the apathy they have for the team. Why should people invest their hard earned money and emotions for a team that has been mediocre for a decade. Furthermore, some fans can profit from selling their tickets on StubHub or Ebay and sit at home and watch the game from the comfort of home.Granted, t

The Evolution of Red Sox Nation
You can thank a particular group known as the "Royal Rooters" who have essentially pioneered Red Sox fandom, and made it what it is today. Increasingly annoying. A new feature-length documentary is due out within the year, and will chronicle approximately 100 years of die-hard Boston Red Sox fans. The documentary, which will likely air on sports cable channel NESN, will focusheavily on the legendary Royal Rooters, started by Michael T. “Nuf-Ced” McGreevy. McGreevy owned the famous saloon “3rd Base” in Boston and led fans to sing “Tessie” during the 1903 World Series, turning the tune into a Sox rooting song.Related:Film roots for rabid Red Sox Nation fans

      Red Sox Nation : A Wee-Bit Overzealous?
I know it's colder than a well-digger's ass up in Bah-ston (and here too I might add), but since when does this pass as news? Especially at the Boston Globe. Truck day In what has become a sure sign that spring is just around the corner in Boston, "Truck Day" will finally arrive on Monday. The Red Sox confirmed today that the team's equipment truck will leave Fenway Monday at approximately 1:00
