El Rector Vicente Diaz del CNE, acaba de señalar en declaraciones a la prensa que salvó su voto en la admisión del proyecto de reforma constitucional por considerar que el mismo violenta el artÃculo 342 de la Constitución Nacional que establece:
 "La Reforma Constitucional tiene por objeto una revisión parcial de esta Constitución y la sustitución de una o varias de sus normas que no modifiquen la estructura y principios fundamentales del texto Constitucional. La iniciativa de la Reforma de esta Constitución podrá tomarla la Asamblea Nacional mediante acuerdo aprobado por el voto de la mayorÃa de sus integrantes, el Presidente o Presidenta de la República en Consejo de Ministros; o un número no menor del quince por ciento de los electores inscritos y electoras inscritas en el Registro Civil y Electoral que lo soliciten".

Police investigators Thursday grilled suspended rector of the Institute of Public Administration Nyoman Sumaryadi over the recent death of Cliff Muntu, a student from North Sulawesi province.Nyoman was suspended from his position as the institute rector after the fatal beating against Cliff, which was allegedly carried out by his seniors at the institute campus in Jatinangor district, Sumedang regency, West Java.Seven students and one lecturer have been named suspects over the incident.Earlier: Dean named suspect on Cliff Muntu's death
The rector of the violence-marred Institute of Internal Administration (IPDN), Prof Nyoman Sumaryadi, has been suspended from his post until an overall evaluation of the institute has been completed, interim Home Affairs Minister Widodo AS said here on Wednesday.The president said the evaluation team would also have non-governmental members who would conduct a thorough evaluation of the institute`s education system and methodology as well as of its curricula, including educational activities and the development of relationships between junior and senior students. The president gave the team two months to do its job. The government also decided to postpone the registration of new students for about a year to give them time for the review. Cliff Muntu, a junior student of the institute died after receiving violent blows from his seniors during an initiation. President Yudhoyono said Muntu`s death was a tip of an iceberg of incidents in more than 15 years of the institute.Earlie
