Record Breaker Series: The Greenhornes - Sewed Soles
      * Editor's note: The Record Breaker Series is a focus on criminally overlooked, forgotten and maltreated albums. There are additions postings in this series in the right tool bar of this blog. The first thing you will notice is that the selections are pretty far flung - matching my musical tastes. How do I choose? Sometimes I just get to missing an older record and write about it. Other times, I elect to break-down a record because I pick up a music rag or read something foolish in the press badmouthing a perfectly good album. Like you, I really dig music. Record Breaker Series: Red Hot Chili Peppers' Sensational Freaky Styley album
It's hard to imagine a modern American pop scene without the enigmatic Red Hot Chili Peppers. It stands as their most funk- and soul-influenced record to date. Modern fans of the band might find little in common with the sound captured here. The album was produced by

Final Harry Potter book set to be record breaker
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the final book from the sagas of the wizard Harry Potter, and already the book is set to hit new records. The first printing alone will be 12 million copies, which arrives on the 21st July. When you just look at that figure, it is just huge, other big name authors normally have a first print of around 2 million so you can see how back breaking of a task this is going to be for the publishers. When you look back at other books that have set these records, to no surprise it is the other Harry Potter books from the series. All the sales added together J.K. Rowling has sold over 325 million Harry Potter books
