If you open up your keyboard and type [return]r-e-b-o-o-t[return], your G1 will, yep, reboot. (It'll do this with any other command too, so stay away from combinations of rm and rf.) The bug

Answer contains part simple observation and part experience. There is no need to reboot SQL Server. Once it is on it is ON! However, I have heard that frequent reboot improves performance. In my company our network administration department has policy to reboot all the servers every 15 days. We reboot all the servers at every 15 days. Regarding performance improvement, our servers are always up and running as great as they can. Reference : Pinal Dave (http://www.SQLAuthority.com)

You can also use the shortcut to customize the shutdown or rebootfor example, by displaying a specific message or automatically shutting down any programs that are running.First, create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking the desktop, choosing New, and then choosing Shortcut. The Create Shortcut Wizard appears. In the box asking for the location of the shortcut, type shutdown. After you create the shortcut, double-clicking it will shut down your PC.But you can do much more with a shutdown shortcut than merely shut down your PC. You can add any combination of several switches to do extra duty, like this:shutdown -r -t 01 -c "Rebooting your PC"Double-clicking that shortcut will reboot your PC after a one-second delay and di

      Reboot/Restart Application For Symbian 9.1
Reboot is a free application, that when installed places an icon in your applications folder for rebooting your phone easily. The only useful thing is that it replaces waiting for the phone to shutdown, then pressing the power key again to turn on eventhough waiting for the phone to shutdown does not take really more than a couple of seconds. However, there maybe a hidden advantage that I cannot

      Vista reboot with Dreamscene wallpaper
The Vista laptop got itself a bit confused today. At one point it rebooted itself and then decided that there was something wrong with the hard drive as it invoked Checkdisk. That found several problems with some windows DLL files so decided to delete them and hopefully reinstalled them later. When it had finished that it started OK except that the the Windows Dreamscene Content I used for wallpaper had been replaced with a plain black wallpaper. Vista did pop up a window saying there was a problem with it. Later on I tried to amend the wallpaper back to the Dreamscene bees and flowers moving image. As soon as I had selected it Vista rebooted itself again. It tried running Checkdisk again which I aborted. It carried on loading with plain wallpaper OK. I amended the wallpaper back to the Dreamscene bees and flowers and this time it installed OK. Vista then helpfully popped up a window saying that it had recovered from an error and would I like to let it search on-line for a solution o

      Reboot
For a number of reasons, personal and work related, I reached my stress limit... which began to activate automatic shutdown mode. This requires a weekend brain reboot in order to make it through the next week. The search for mental and emotional refreshment led me to visit the old home place property I purchased last year. My early childhood and much of my adolescence was spent there beginning almost 50 years ago. It seems unreal the way time has flown by. I needed to compare the vivid mental maps from my memory and my frequent dreams to what really existed there today. I expected to look behind the heavy overgrowth and thicket and see the old house. Not a single block or brick remained. The sweet gum quartet that once provided shade for the front yard and porch stood tall after close to 100 years. Even the surface root I walked on as a toddler was not phased by time except for being larger. I noticed that the old cedar tree that was 3rd base during all those ball games had grown i

Reboot Windows XP for Video Games
I learned this trick a while back. If you're trying to run WoW, or another game, on a system that barely meets the minimum system requirements you're probably experiencing a lot of lag. While lag can often be caused by the server you're connected to game slowdowns can just as easily be caused by your own PC. This is usually caused by things like iTunes which load when your system does. While you can certainly pick and choose a bunch of items to close down before starting your game there is a much easier way to boot your computer into a game friendly environment. The trick is msconfig a Windows utility that can be used to control what exactly runs every time you start your system. Starting and Using msconfig The easiest way to start msconfig is to select "Run" from the start menu and simply type in "msconfig." Windows will automatically launch the utility and bring you to the configuration screen. You'll see three radio buttons to the left of the first tab - click "Selective
