This is great news. It shows that Iraqis are on the same page and that they're willing to place their local-religious allegiances on the back-burner in order to achieve stability. And, Turkey is right to demand action against the PKK; they're terrorists. Besides, Turkey hasn't been in a war for a while and many Turks are probably itching for one.

It’s the fourth in the series of Hasbro photos I took from Celebration IV. I didn’t realize how many figures were in those cases until I had to sort through them all. The good guy side had plenty of great representation with a few minor characters getting mixed in with the main heroes of Star Wars.
First off, here’s an interesting figure that I never thought would be made, Han Solo on torture rack. It’s the kind of figure that you think would be great, but after seeing this figure I actually found it pretty disturbing.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo’s eastern territory, local officials say suspected Rwandan rebels have brutally attacked and killed villagers.
A humanitarian worker says he visited the South Kivu area, 50 kilometers west of Bukavu, where the attack occurred late Saturday. He says witnesses in the town of Kanyola told him rebels killed 17 villagers there, wounded 28 others, and kidnapped another 12.
Witnesses said the attackers used knives and machetes to kill and maim villagers.
The United Nations mission in Congo could not verify details of the attack, but a U.N. spokesman says a team is traveling to Kanyola to investigate.
A Rwandan Hutu militia (Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda, or FLDR) has operated in eastern DRC for more than a decade. Many of its members fled from Rwandan territory after taking part in the slaughter of 800,000 people in 1994.

Ethiopia’s prime minister announced Sunday night that his country was “forced to enter a war” with Somalia’s Council of Islamic Courts after the group declared holy war on Ethiopia.
