It’s actually official, the baby industry is booming this year. Officemates and old time friends are either expecting a baby or already have one of their own. Its a phenomenon that’s relative to the meteoric I-want-to-get-married decisions. However the latter is not that popular since in our day and age, the baby comes first before [...]
I've been MIA for a few days! Just catching up on life! Sunday we went to Hickory to look for a couple of end tables. Our new couch is arriving on Thursday and I wanted new tables to go with it. Lucked out at Ashley Furniture and they should arrive in a couple of weeks. We had breakfast at the local Shoney's and enjoyed watching the "locals" there. There were a few bikers that came in as we were l

Oh holy Sh..! It doesn't stop to rain here in Austria. It's cold, wet and uncomfortable. Yesterday we even had to make fire to not get perished by cold. Can you imagine? It's middle of June! I claim sun and warmth! ... and please 'pronto'!
Another thing that really annoys me are those people with one or more flags on their cars to state their deceived patriotism in hard times of "football war".
We just got back from our trip to Universal Studios and we had a good time. Although it did rain half the time we were there. It rained off and on and while it was raining they shut down some of the rides. The cool thing was that when it rained we just went to the indoor stunt shows or went on the water rides. I figured we were already wet anyway so why not make it a little worse. What I didn't co
It's raining. Really hard. These wet days are unusual in Colorado and I love them. The friends were late getting here because AJ, the oldest, locked his mom and Max in the chicken coop for 20 minutes. I bet they smel

Let's start the week with a Britpop-influenced French band. My Raining Stars centers around Thierry Haliniak who wrote and recorded the songs for debut album From St. Saviour To Quickwell on an old four-track recorder first. With the help of E-Grand and Mathea (whoever that might be...), the songs were then spruced up to well-produced and up-to-standard indie-pop-tunes.While the album might not be

I love the sound of the rain, it gives me a nostalgic, warm, fuzzy feeling that I’ve come to associate with bed.

Belle is a fifty five year old trapped in the body of a five year old. She is incredibly articulate, and I'm not just saying that through my mommy goggles. When she does get something a little wrong, it just makes it all that much funnier.Like today when she said, "Mama, my nose is raining."

I think Scott had a sudden revelation at around 11:30 or so that our yard drains sometimes get clogged with debris and when that happens the water backs up into the garage. He went zipping out the front door:
I suppose he didn’t like what he saw.
The garage and laundry room flooded. We haven’t had that happen in at least 18 months (it used to happen frequently enough that people could assume we lived in a house built on stilts in a swamp and not in the suburbs).
I suppose Scott will sleep well tonight, though.
Worship styles are one of the most significant reasons that people choose to join a given congregation. Correspondingly, they are central to the identity of most congregations. - Alban InstituteGalena was lovely. It was just the break I needed...though, per most usuals, I could have used an extra week or two. That will come in time. When I get a chance this week, I'll download (upload?) some photos for you all to see. Galena is a lovely little Victorian town. That's what they have preserved at least. U.S. Grant lived there for a time. It was once a thriving lead mining town and boomed somewhat leading up to and during the war. Now, it's a tourist town with about 3,500 residents. Rolling hills, history and several good golf courses seem to be the main draw right now. Trish and I may go back
I was sitting in my car, in a place where I could get a good phone signal, waiting to hear about my youngest son. Poor lad got mugged the night before. He was roughed up a bit and had all of his things stolen, passport, mobile, cash cards and ipod. A nasty experience for him. He is fine now, I cursed the people who did it, my lovely boy who works so hard for everything he has and who goes through life with such a generous spirit, I hope it isn’t dented too much.
In her 1964 essay — if one can call an enumerated list an essay — ”Notes on ‘Camp,’” Susan Sontag delineated what she called the Camp style. Though nearly every example she gives is obscure to me, the essential traits of camp are clear: it’s exaggerated, it’s methods overwhelm its message, and it thereby becomes a parody of itself.

Since it has been raining non stop here for DAYS, I brought out the sweet ladybug rain boots that Alex's Mom actually allowed him to wear! HEE! Enjoy some pictures:) (Pay attention only to the boots...not the mess in the background!!)

PARTNER. HEYY BABYY. DHAMAAL. Now DHOL. It’s raining laughathons!
Since almost a decade, Priyadarshan has been specializing in comic capers. Priyan has tickled the funny bone of viewers time and again and in DHOL, the comic scenes override the thrill quotient. The comedy, like always, is targeted at those who appreciate the Priyan brand of humor — irrational, but funny. The chemistry between the four pivotal characters is tremendous, especially Rajpal Yadav, who’s bound to walk away with ceetees and taalis.
Let’s look at the other side of the coin! The gangster portions remind one of the 1980s cinema, which has been beaten to death in film after film. These portions are an aberration and the accomplished director should trim them by at least 20 minutes so that the impact created by the comedy track remains intact, not getting diluted in the process.
Yet, in all fairness, DHOL has some hilarious moments to make you beat the dhol once the show has ended!

Love Poems, a great way to express your feeling whenever you feel so splendid beautiful feeling at falling in love, heartbroken, disappointed, or at any time you just want to say I LOVE YOU to someone you love in an amazing-different way.
As I am writing my post, the thunderstorm outside is continuing steadily. The toads are croaking, snails are crawling in the garden (or so I think), and the koi are having a marvelous time in the pond. As for me, I am nursing a backache. *laughing* I can't help it, sorry. I do want to re-iterate the story to all of you, but it was just so hilarious I can't stop cackling with laughter. If my backache didn't hurt like all hell, I think I'll be laughing even louder. Anyways, the story goes like this.. I was in the wet kitchen area hanging the laundry on those tiered thingamajigs.. What do you call 'em? The indoor clothesline. Yeah, that's it. Since it was raining like nobody's business, the rain seemed to be blowing in all the "tempias" (translation: rain droplets) to the kitchen area. So as I was going back inside, I slipped on a puddle of water and I ALMOST did a split right then and there. CAN YOU IMAGINE????? Man, you guys should have seen me. It was hilarious!! hahahahaha.. T
We've had 10 days without rain recently and it's been too hot to paint outdoors. I've been wanting to hone my plein air skills but it's really unbearably hot and humid so I've had to resort to painting indoors.I did the landscape in an earlier post from a photograph that I took earlier this year in New Mexico at a state park called "City of Rocks".So! Until Fall arrives and the weather becomes more pleasant, I'll be painting indoors. This is not a bad thing, don't misunderstand me. I've been painting with a portrait group for the last 7 weeks and I've thouroughly enjoyed it. I'd like to do a lot more of those if I can find people to sit for them. For now, though, I'll continue to paint things "from the land". I love painting things that we see every day. I picked up this branch from someone's back yard. Most of the tree was cloaked with lichens and ball moss and this branch had fallen during a stormy night. I'm sure that people are not happy to see their Live Oak trees co
Er - I wish it were raining men, that is! The reality is, it’s raining…well…cats and dogs! Been raining cats and dogs since the other day. It’s typhoon season, the streets are flooded, classes were suspended yesterday, and people are stuck inside their homes. Yes, people are staying in, and your writer has no choice but to stay in, too. And your writer staying in means that:
your writer = royally pissed that instead of being out boozing, playing billiards, people-watching, and people-okraying, she’s forced to stay inside because she doesn’t want to be stranded on the road at 3 in the morning;
the guardians of the gate = jubilant, ecstatic, über-grateful, doing cartwheels, raising their hands to the heavens because your writer has no recourse but to stay in;
JK Rowling, the first novelist to ever become a billionaire = will become even richer because her newest baby, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has been chosen to keep your writ
For 2 days now I’ve been laying on my bed due to fever. Yes I got fever again, maybe because of the weather that sometimes it’s raining and sometimes it’s hot sunny day. Well it’s been raining a lot lately and that’s how I got this fever. Damn I’m so damn bored with nothing to do except sleep and I don’t like sleep for long hours. So I just went downstairs and watched Asian Cup last night and basically that’s about it. I didn’t have an appetite to have eat my dinner and I go to my bed and try to rest or sleep early. I don’t know what else to blog here but I’ll try to recover.

Art Courtesy of Love Peace HappinessAt long last, some relief from the heat and hot, dry, and gusty winds--the rain has arrived on Maui, even here in South Maui! And with the rains have come some decisions!I know we can't complain about the weather too much here because people are sweltering all over the world, and a lot of people would gladly exchange places with us in a New York city minute. The mornings are gorgeous--calm with just a hint of pikake fragrance in the breeze from our blooming pikake bushes. It's the afternoons which have been brutal--when the hot, winds blow so hard that the plants shrink down low from the wind.Of course, I've always loved tropical rain because it's WARM rain. You can dance in it, and it feels good upon your skin. And that's what I'm gonna go do now!

Is the drought over in Australia? From where I sit, in the Melbourne suburbs, it sure sounds like it. The tin roof is getting a pounding from an old-fashioned winter downpour.
Over the past couple of years, most Australians’ attitude to rain has completely reversed. Not so long ago there was nothing like a downpour to dampen the spirits of Aussies, who mostly live near the ocean and love nothing more than a sunny afternoon, a barbecue or a kick of the football. And for visitors taking in the sights of Sydney Harbour or enjoying a cruise along the Brisbane River or the Yarra River in Melbourne, a rainy day was a total drag.
But times have changed. Australia’s big cities are running out of water and our farmers are doing it tough. It could be climate change, it could just be a cyclical pattern, or it could be both. Whatever the cause, the effect is the same: the worst and most widespread drought on record. So now, rain is good. But you know what they say: It never rains…
Rihanna's number one for the 7th week in the UK and it's STILL RAINING all over the land. There's a direct correlation between the two, I'm convinced of it! Seven weeks of Umbrella and seven weeks of it pissing down. Please, Rihanna. I love the song, but please, just put the brolly down and sing about something else. How about driving cars or something? Gawd! Alright already! Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh.But none of this unrelenting rain could dampen the spirits of everyone at Gay Pride in London on Saturday. What a marvellous day it was. Where else could you have thousands of queers mincing about in the pouring rain and making the most of it by just enjoying themselves? The March/Parade through the terrorist-strewn streets of sodden London went off without a hitch (the only hiccup being when some homophobe asked why Oxford Street was blocked off and then harumphing at the mere mention of the word 'gay'). Our very own 'Rihanna'Highlights included the Fetish Society, a ten-strong te

I love rain...mostly because I rarely ever have to go out in it. When I was a little kid I’d sit in behind the storm door at my grandmother’s house and watch the water pound the cement walkway and wash the dirt from the porch. I loved how when I went outside immediately following the storm everything smelled fresh and clean, and I would often run in the yard barefoot and let the mud squish up between my toes.
I can feel it now - I’m going to sleep dang good tonight. If I weren’t lactose intolerant, I’d get myself some warm milk and go lie in the bedroom with the windows open and the t.v. turned down low. That sounds like a mighty fine way to end a day!
Weather was weird today. It was half an hour blue sky, sun shining, other half an hour dark sky, heavy raining. Thus making it almost impossible to visit any of Saturday's attractions in Prague - may it be music festival United Islands of Prague, International Softball World Cup or Science in the streets (showing the latest technical achievements and other interesting "science" stuff at a couple of squares in the centre of Prague; we were there with our cars last year - we have a video on YouTube to prove it :)Hope you'll have a wonderful Sunday :)
Remember that song by Supertramp? I had it on a 45 record and wore it out when I was kid. I love that song.
It’s raining here. Again. This is Day 2 of the rain. We’d had an exquisite stretch of warm, beautiful days filled with sunshine, cloudless skies and plenty of outdoor play. Now we’re stuck inside. For the second day.
Yesterday wasn’t bad. We’d spent so much time outside lately that Julia had a lot of fun rediscovering her play room toys while I did a little cleaning over in my sidebar. (Looks good, huh? Nice and tidy. I did it all myself. It only took me two hours to figure out how to do the expanding/collapsing thingies. Well, thingies is the technical term. Some people call them doohickeys.) We kept busy all day, doing the things we’d neglected during our week of unbridled recreation.
Today, to put an end to the sofa somersaults, coffee table karate chops and bean bag body slams, we did this:

His marks in PUC are like a telephone No, 2, 4, 5, .... but still needs benz car to roam around the streets.
On a visit to M G Road amidst a heavy wind, he spots a prettygirl, Nandini (Sanjana Gandhi). Whilst staring at her, he inadvertentlyfalls into a drainage pit. Nandini rescues him from the pit and in theprocess looses her heart-shaped watch she had just purchased.
Even before Preetam could get acquainted with Nandini, she leavesthe place with her friend. Desperate to meet her, he calls up the localRadio Mirchi and

It's raining opps today at the PPP site...LOL. I wish I was able to grab the $25 dollar one, but it went too fast. My, there must be a lot of people watching for opps online. The PPP is packed I am sure. Anyway, it's time to grab another one of those pouring opps...LOL. I have been waiting all day here, and I am beggining to feel my back aching like never before. So, I better hurry and finish my tasks online, I need some rest, and a good sleep tonight, to prepare me for tomorrow. Remember, I mentioned that I like Wednesday, and well, that is because it is our splurging day! We will be out most of the day to shop, and eat ; dine out afterward, of course.
As it poured, I ran a quick errand for my mom. Yes, even a thousand miles from home, I have to run errands for my mom. Then I headed north.
I stayed with Creative, one of the girls who had made it down for the mini-reunion. And who is working in Denver quite a bit now. We enjoyed relaxed at her house with her dog and chatted.
Of course the topic turned to TheBoy. Again. She believes he's not my
So what are you doing today then? Well with me it seems like i’m going to be doing a bit of decorating as it is pouring down with rain outside; it seems that those April showers have now arrived in May and the last week has been very wet, i’ll be amazed if the water companies call a hosepipe ban this summer as it has been really wet lately.
I’ve just got back from Dobbies garden centre and purchased a few more wild flowers; White Campion, Wild Buttercup, Field Poppy and Self Heal, i want to plant them in the front garden but i’m going to get drenched doing it so i’ll have to leave it until later.
Well i better go and get the painting done or i’ll get more ear ache from the girlfriend!
Hope your having a nice weekend

Last night it was raining pretty hard. (Outside, I mean!) Today it was pretty nice when I first got up, had hoped to take a bike ride before heading out for errands but it’s clouding up faster than I’m waking up! The Villagers all shrugged at me when I apologized for us being unable to ride and feel the breeze in our face and fly around town. They’ve all created bikes and are riding them around the flag in the center of town (Internally, I mean!)
Talking about the weather is a nice safe topic, wouldn’t you say?
So now they’re considering work on a bike path. It’s not quite the same as getting to ride around the external roads, but I’m glad they aren’t upset with me. Today proves to be a good day if we managed to get ourselves ready enough to leave the house. I think our medication is still not quite worn off yet, feeling slightly hazy still this morning.
Today is a busy day. Hoping to stop off at a book store, on the internet it s
Frogs rain down on Serbia Traffic came to a halt and locals fled inside after thousands of frogs fell from the sky onto a Serbian village. Residents in Odzaci told local daily Blic they thought the world was coming to an end. Aleksandar Ciric said: "I saw all these small frogs just start raining down. There were thousands of them." Another villager, Caja Jovanovic, added: "This huge 'cloud' seemed to come out of nowhere and its shape and colour looked very strange. "We were all wondering what it was when suddenly frogs started to fall from the sky. I thought maybe a plane carrying frogs had exploded in midair." But climatology expert Slavisa Ignjatovic said there was a simple scientific explanation for the incident. He said: "A whirlwind has sucked up the frogs from a lake, the sea or some other body of water somewhere else and carried them along to Odzaci where they have fallen to the ground. It is a recognised scientific phenomenon."feed
Thursday and Friday were gorgeous. Youngest Princess kept asking if we could go out and plant the flowers we bought last weekend. Would have been a great idea had I not been sick with strep throat....again! UGH! I need to call the doc because they gave me straight penicillin and I think it's giving me stomach cramps. When it wears off, I feel better. Take another pill, start getting stomach cramps. Only half an hour till they open. But, my throat is feeling better. lol But of course, today, it's raining. Poor flowers will have to wait for another day.

I am a average doctor working the NHS on an average. All day I was watching the funding being pulled from most services that benefit patients. Again I watch and look and think about how best to find different and more inventive ways to ensure the patients do not suffer. I then drive home to find that people do live in a different diamension.Alas, these days Ms Dip Med Sec Fiona Woolard is currently under fire for her inability to find the actual electronic emails for the complaint against Lisa Blakemore Brown. Fifon had passed confidential emails onto Penny Mellor after she had regained the trust of Lisa Blakemore Brown at the British Psychological Society sometime ago. For all those wonderful people out there, please read the postings below to update yourselves on our right to question complainants against professionals. Ms Dip Med Sec showed us that she could type by bombarding us with what seemed an entire self made spam Woolard generator. Email afer email of shocking language not

Goodness the weather today is horrible, well it was this morning. It looks like it is trying to clear up now, I hope it does. Here where I live we always have wind, in all sorts. Either high winds, breezes or whatever, last night it got so bad it was shaking the mobile home. I always think we gonna lose our cinder blocks or something when the winds get like that. My arm is pretty sore today, I can't wait for it to heal and get it done. The wispy like shadings around it right now, is just grayish, when I go in for a touch up, it will get some of the colors I chose for the shapes coordinated into the wisps, and the shapes will be shaded as well. I am going to try to take a pic today, and wait to post until it is all the way done in a couple weeks, to compare the two. Right now it looks like I colored on myself, hehe. The healing process is pretty nasty, it peels like a sunburn, its kind of neat, but ya worry if all the color is coming off or not. I only have 11 hours until I leave my ba
My friend Loui and I are both agreed - we are fed up with the rain. Today is grey and drizzly, it has rained every night this week. Loui has gone do far as getting a waterproof 4 legged suit with holes for "those" places. That is a bit too embarrassing, I just refuse to leave the garden when it is raining heavily. I have a fluorescent coat, but it is nothing like as elaborate as Loui's new waterproof doggie coat. Have a look, he says his street cred could suffer when he wears it.Tags:dogs, weblogpets, diary, dog food
Oh No ... The Skies Falling Down ...
(Or "the dangers of falling sugar beet!')
As Greenhouse Girl was going to work one day, whack! A sugar beet fell from the sky and almost landed on the bonnet of her car.
"Goodness gracious me!' said Greenhouse girl, "the sky must have fallen down; I must go and tell the Queen ...'
Can you believe it! I know my insurance will cover another car hitting my car, but sugar beet falling from a great height I doubt!!
At this time of year, up here in Yorkshire, the roads are strewn with trails of sugar beet down the edge of the roads ... and today I saw the culprit! Massive lorry, no covering on the top, merrily bounding down the road in front of me. Stuck in traffic, when he sets off in front of me "bounce' out falls sugar beet ... just missing the bonnet of the car ... as if getting to work isn't hard enough already!
Hey Ho, could be worse, at least I wasn't being followed by Foxy Loxy, like poor old Chicken Licken was ...

The Orlando Magic came out noticeably more aggressive tonight and showed a little bit of what got them here. Still the Pistons held on and pulled out the 100-93 win. Howard was an animal tonight and Jameer Nelson showed up to play as well. The rest are leaving a ...
Though his talent has been applauded by critics and masses alike, Rahul Bose's presence has always been underplayed by our film industry. One wonders why? One also wonders whether it will take a foreign hand to make Bollywood notice its own asset?
