It is a first person shooter game with tactical shooting effect in it. Tom clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was released on 18 March, 2008 in North America and on 20 March, 2008 in Europe. It is available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. The Windows version was released on 15 April, 2008 because of some delays. I just bought UbiSoft’s sequel to their hit from 2006 over the weekend and I thought I would share my first impressions. Having not played the entire game all the way through, it is not my intent to give a full review. Just my first impressions.
Reports are starting to come in about Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 saying that the online multiplayer in the PS3 version is experiencing some serious issues. Mainly that it’s not working. If you look in the official Ubisoft forums you will notice a few threads regarding a connection error messages that people are receiving when they try and connect to an online game. Inviting or joining gives them “Connection to Host has been lost” or “Connection Failed” messages, when their not kicked out after 10 minutes or suffer frome extreme lag. So if you’ve got the choice, go for the Xbox 360 version.

We have too, which is why we approached Ubisoft about breaking down the making of Rainbow Six Vegas. They were kind enough to explain the timelines behind the scenes and each of the major steps behind the game’s development.
CONCEPTION [ 11 MONTHS ]
Ubisoft gives a core design team composed of five people (producer, senior producer, creative director, art director, and lead programmer) a mandate outlining the project’s objectives and the target audience.
Since this is Ubisoft Montreal’s first next-gen title, the team is given more time than is usually allotted for conception.
The creative team brainstorms to outline the game’s plot, location, and player experience.
The technical minds decide which engine and tools will be used to create the game.
The team then comes together to build cheap prototypes to test core gameplay ideas like the new cover mechanic and multiplayer.

Ubisoft today announced Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is coming to next-generation consoles (Xbox 360, PS3) and PC. Developed at Ubisoft Montreal by the same team that created the award-winning Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas, the sequel is scheduled for a March 2008 release.
The original Vegas won numerous awards, including IGN’s 2006 Best First Person Shooter and Best Online Game, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will add new gameplay features and better visuals. Players will encounter an intense solo campaign that uses new tactical possibilities in various locations around Sin City. As expected with one of the pioneer franchises for online multiplayer Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will also break new ground in both co-op and adversarial modes, while promising better interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes.

There is a kick ass turret glitch in one of the Rainbow 6 Vegas map packs (the new Black Edition). It's in the Wartown map here is how you do it...you go to the middle turret gun (not the one near your spawn its between both spawn points)you stand next to the window...you press the LT trigger as if to look out the window but look at the gunthe "A" button will show with the word Turret press "A" then wait about a second or two ..Then before you know it you can walk around with the what seems to be the gun but it also looks as if you are driving a Harley or breakdancing!!You can now kill people like crrrazy!The video below shows a sample of where it's at and what you can do with it...
You can say a lot about game publisher Ubisoft, but you can’t say they don’t treat their user base well. If you recall a week or two ago, there was an issue with their Black Pack. Apparently it was intended to be free, but that’s not how it worked out. Well, as a token of their appreciation, Ubisoft has not only promised to reimburse those who purchased the Black Pack, but they have also made their Red Pack free of charge as well.

For anyone holding out to play the PlayStation 3 version of Rainbow Six: Vegas, the wait has certainly yielded the most generous version of the game so far. It's a substantial and feature-packed game: It includes all the features of the 360 version (bar the Vision Cam face-mapping technology) and the recently released Player's Pack Red Edition, new multiplayer maps, and some extra tweaks like using the Sixaxis to control the under-the-door snake camera. The single-player campaign is exactly the same as we've seen before in the 360 version, and it's a far more substantial campaign than what we've seen from this franchise previously. Whereas previous Rainbows were little more than a series of well-designed skirmishes loosely hooked together in sequence, the new game is actually built around a story arc. I was actually driven to buy and play this game from all of the other reviews and critical acclaim that the game had received. I was expecting Rainbow Six: Las Vegas to be a lot like G.R.A.W.. I mean G.R.A.W. was one of the first really next-gen games to hit the XBox 360. Given it’s success, among both gamers and critics, you’d figure that no one wouldn’t mess with the solid gameplay.
Now, I have to admit that I really didn’t play any of the previous Rainbow Six games so I’m not too sure how this stacks up to those titles. I can tell you that there really isn’t anything exceptional about the game, at least not in the first two levels.
Unlike G.R.A.W., Rainbow Six: Las Vegas plays more like a traditional fighter (with some cover and squad abilities mixed in) than I’d like to see. Both G.R.A.W. and Gears of War made some significant advancements in duck and cover style games. If you’ve played either of these titles recently you’ll immediately find yourself longing for their mechanics.

I recently had a chance to try out the next iteration of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series at the Best Buy Games Summit in Toronto.
Take the crazy shooting of KillSwitch mix it with the gameplay of Battlefield 2 and throw in a bunch of squad based tactics and you'll come pretty close to the Rainbow Six: Vegas formula. Although my time was limited and I had only played one Rainbow Six game before, it looked visually impressive on the Xbox 360 so I decided to try it out and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to just pick up and play and be a somewhat effective squad leader. I was most impressed by the cover system working in conjunction with the always great UbiSoft camera system. Progressing forward and then diving for cover never looked so natural. It was also responsive and allowed for really sneaky or run and gun play. However if you take a run at it and ignore the cover completely you'll be quickly met with an early demise.
