I thought I would write on a restaurant since I enjoy eating at many of them in our fair city.  I chose Radial as the first one I would write about because it is in the midsts of condo, loft, and town-home central right on Dekalb Avenue.  I also chose it because it is ONE of the two restaurants in our STATE that is considered a Green restaurant as part of the Green Restaurant Association.  Now, there is a lot  that is entailed in this rating, but it means everything from eliminating styrofoam completely, to conserving water and electricity as well as going organic and using recycled paper for menus, printing etc.  And then, there is the food.  The cute owner, Phil Palmer, has created a great breakfast and lunch menu with wonderful items on both.  I went the other morning and got the pumpkin pie pancakes and a greek omelet. (I was not alone by the way…) The pancakes were to die for and the fact that they make their own real whipping cream and have fluffy butter

lately i have been doing a lot of experimenting with photos by moving the camera, lens or aperature in different ways during the exposure. while this hasn't yielded the most exciting photos, some of the results are kinda interesting. this photo was made by simply pivoting the cameraon the tripod during the exposure.

In an effort to snatch a sizeable market share of the truck bus radial tyres sector, Ceat Ltd is mulling to increase sales from 600-700 tyres a month to 4,000-5,000 by June 2008. While the company’’s current outsourcing arrangement with Pirelli will remain, bulk of the incremental volume will be outsourced from China. The have selected a few Chinese producers and are currently evaluating the performance of these tyres. Unlike tyres sourced from Pirelli, Chinese tyres will be marketed under brand names other than Ceat. Top five global radial manufacturers are reluctant to enter into technology tie-ups, Ceat was pinning hopes on companies like Yokohama and Toyo of Japan; Cooper of the US and Kumho and Hankook of Korea for access to decent radial technology. Interestingly, the company has decided to develop its own technology in case there is a delay in forging a tie-up. Of course, this is not the first or the last motorcycle equipped with a radial engine, but i liked the looks of it. It’s just a sketch on the drawing board, but it worth mentioning.
