This is just my opinion and my personal experience as a newbie a few years ago. It is not a reflection on Rachael and her success. I just want you to be aware of what you are getting yourself into. You will not experience the type of success Rachael Long is without having the extreme list she has. In fact all of the people successful in Lawn Chair Millionaire have very large lists. Here is the ema
RR's accountant is suing her show. Not for monies owed or anything like that, but for having to work in a hostile environment. Apparently his anorexia was spurned and ridiculed by his supervisor. I think the most interesting part of the story is that an anorexic would WANT to work for Rachael Ray in the first place. (Of course, ANYONE with ANYTHING should be able to work ANYWHERE, if he or she can
Yup, RR walked away with Best Talk Show at last night's Daytime Emmy's. She was competing against Ellen (up for her 5th consecutive win in this category) and The View.I have no problem that she won. The first 46 minutes of The Rachael Ray Show can be enjoyable. She asks viewers to try weird devices and potions and report back. She gets grotty looking men to shower and change their clothes - that'

MELVILLE, N.Y. - Somehow, Rachael Ray is managing to fit an appearance at Borders in Syosset, N.Y., into her seemingly filled-to-capacity schedule. On Saturday, the television host-magazine editor-cookbook author signed copies of her latest book, "Yum-o! The Family Cookbook" (Potter, $22.50), the...

Islam is so evil, so destructive of Western values, that no corporation should be ignorant of that fact. No advertising agency would allow a swastika to appear on a container of milk; it's about time they realized that kaffiyas, crescents, and other symbols of Islam are just as insulting and offensive to thinking Americans.

As much as I would love to see Rachael Ray carted away for her culinary transgressions, pulling her latest Dunkin' Donuts online commercial is complete and utter insanity! To suggest that an ad with her wearing a Middle Eastern style scarf was sending secret messages to terrorists is to miss the truly culpable part of the ad, shilling crap to the American public...You know, on second thought, mayb
Dunkin Donuts Pulls Ad Featuring Rachael Ray In A Scarf That Looks Too ArabDunkin Donuts has pulled a commercial featuring pitchwoman Rachael Ray wearing a scarf because Michelle Malkin and other conservative observers thought the scarf looked too much like a keffiyeh, what Malkin describes as "the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad."
Posted on May 28th, 2008 12:55 pmThe following is a true story, not some Saturday Night Live skit drawn up to mock extreme conservatives: Rachael Ray may be a sell out, but at least she isn’t a fear-mongering nut job such as Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin. Due to pressure from Malkin - who makes Karl Rove seem like a benevolent liberal - Dunkin Donuts has canceled an ad in which the do

Rachael Leigh Cook consistently lights up her various roles, most recently in the role of Clara Wheeler in Steven Spielberg's successful miniseries, "Into the West." Cook's standout performances include her starring role opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in the teen comedy feature "She's All That," and her lead role as aspiring rock singer Josie McCoy in "Josie and the Pussycats." She appears as Penny Posin in the multi-episode arc on NBC's hit "Las Vegas." Penny Posin appears as the potential love interest of series' lead Danny McCoy. She is later dumped by Danny after it is revealed that she and her mother are pulling a scam.

I’ll be honest. I don’t really know a whole lot about Rachael Ray. All I know is that she is a younger, less criminal version of Martha Stewart and that she is friends with Oprah. I also know that she likes to show off her tits by wearing see through dresses. These pics almost look like celebrity xrays. You gotta love a thick celeb like this who isn’t afraid to eat a burger every now and then.

This is the season for Harpo "Christmas Give Away" Shows. Today is was Dr. Phil and his family giving away oodles of gifts to an audience filled with disenfranchised California Fire families. I always watch these shows thinking the same thing: Are these shows really blessing these poor people? If I had lost my home to Katrina or California fires, or any other catastrophe, what would be my biggest need? Would it be a huge LCD HD TV, or the latest camcorder? If I don't have a house to live in, what am I going to do with this huge television? I was on a television show once and was "blessed" with a wonderful Conn organ. It was three layers of push a button and get a trumpet section; push another button and get a harpsichord sound. Since I am a musician, it was a wonderful gift … until April 15th! I knew nothing about "gift tax" so was totally unprepared for the additional money I was told I owed IRS. It didn't take any time at all for that organ to turn into my worst nightmare!
I caught 30 seconds of Rachael Ray this morning, while I was monitoring Giada's appearance on the last hour of the Today Show. RR had funny man and bad boy extraordinaire, Tracy Morgan, on. He was doing the shtick where he takes stuff out of a trunk and she has to guess what it is. He took out a certain item and she was stumped. You will not believe what it was...IT WAS A CUTTING BOARD, albeit a foldable one. She held it up behind her head like a rooster's comb. Even Tracy Morgan, who is not known for his culinary prowess, knew how to use it. To me, that's just scary. Here is someone who is cooking for millions of people and she could not even identify a cutting board. But how long do you think it will be before she's selling a version of one?PS The most noteworthy part of Giada on Today was the hat she wore in the intro sections.
Many thanks to Missy for letting me know about this upcoming event. Rachael Ray (you guys watch Food Network right?) is coming to the Barnes and Nobles at the Prudential Center this upcoming Saturday 11/17 for a book signing. The superstar chef, beloved TV host, and best selling author serves up all new recipes for everything from Date Night Dinners to Fancy Fake-Outs in this yum-0 cookbook that includes a super-delish selection of fast and fabulous 15 minute meals.According to flyers and ads in the paper, the book signing is at 3pm, but if you swing by the B&N at the Prudential Center, you'll see a sign that says they'll be handing out wristbands at noon on Saturday and only folks that have wristbands will get to participate in this event. So if you want an autographed copy, get there early. I'm not sure if you can get a wristband, leave, and then return later at 3pm. You could try calling the store and asking. Or bring a book with you to read while you stand in line.Know of
Attention, Rachael Ray fans.
If you are planning to go to your favorite happy-go-lucky TV cook’s book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Cary next month, you must obey the rules. There are quite a few.
1. Ray will sign books for only 375 people. To be one of the chosen, you must go to the bookstore on Dec 7 starting at 8am to get a wristband that will allow you admission for that night’s book signing.
2. You cannot send a friend to get a wristband for you.
3. The first 375 people who show up — and no others — will get wristbands.
4. Ray will personalize only copies of "Just in Time," her new book, and she will sign as many copies of it as you want.
5. Don’t plan on bringing your entire Rachael Ray library to be autographed. Ray will sign but not personalize only the cover of the current issue of her magazine, and these four books: "Rachael Ray 2, 4, 6, 8" "Ra

Rachael Ray and her husband John M. Cusimano can’t seem to escape the rumors of impending divorce, despite public declarations that “they couldn’t be happier”.
“I knew [he] was the man to marry when I asked him what he would like for his birthday dinner,” Rachael Ray writes in her cookbook Cooking ‘Round the Clock. “I offered up lobster, steak, fine foods of all nationalities, to which he replied: ‘Can I just have some of your carbonara?’ Whoa! I was right about him….
But was she? Rumors of an affair on his part have soured the public image of them as a happy couple.
What’s in the stars for the woman with the sunshine smile and her lawyer/musician husband?

Oh my, I do have to wonder what's happening to me. When I see Rachael Ray in non-food settings, I don't loathe her. Perhaps it was in contrast to Larry King last night, but she came off as extremely down-to-earth AND THOUGHTFUL. Wow! More about that in a moment.Larry asked some really inane questions. The top one was, as he was touring her television talk show kitchen, "Do you always cook something new everyday?" "No, Larry, of course not, I just use the same 3 recipes and hope that people won't notice." What a moron. She was actually so held aghast by that question that she said, "Oh my gravy, yes." Naturally, he had never heard THAT expression before. But in retrospect, maybe it wasn't such a dumb question after all. What I hate most about RR's cooking is that it's all much of a muchness - with burgers in many different horrible guises, topping the list. But Larry didn't know that about her, so from him it was a really stupid question. She went on to talk about what a great li

Ok, I'm really trying to be nice. The best part of Rachael's appearance was that there was no cooking involved. And she looked fine...nice dress. One thing that was weird, though, was that she sat straight up on the edge of her chair, like she had a rod down her back. Her conversation was relaxed, but she looked uncomfortable. One of the problems could have been that I'm not sure David Letterman knew who she was. Plus, he kept asking her about sweetbreads. To what end, I'm not sure, but it wasn't terribly riveting. AND it didn't seem that she had anything big to talk about it. I know her new season is starting on Monday, but that was mentioned as an afterthought.Oh wait, there was one interesting thing. Rachael Ray admirers will love this, others will grimace. She spent nearly the entire summer taping MANY new 30 Minute Meals AND her tasty travel show or whatever it is. She took a day and a half off at the beginning of the summer and another day some other time and THAT WAS IT...he
For the complete gallery containing 60+ HQ pics click hereRachael Leigh Cook (born October 4, 1979) is an American actress. She came to fame after her role in the 1999 teen romantic comedy, She's All That, and has since appeared mostly in lower-profile films. At the age of fourteen, Cook began auditioning for acting work. Her modeling agency sent her to read for a short film, 26 Summer Street (1996). She first gained national attention when she was featured in a memorable This is Your Brain on Drugs public-service television advertisement, in which she proceeds to destroy a set with a frying pan as she listed the things that drugs harms. Consequently, Cook began her feature film career, debuting in The Baby-Sitters Club (1995) as shy 13 year old baby-sitter Mary Anne Spier. The movie was based on Ann M. Martin's book series of the same name. Cook's two highest-profile lead roles to date have been in the films She's All That (1999) and Josie and the Pussycats (200
What does it say when Rachael Ray conducted a better interview of Paula Deen than Larry King did? To be fair, she had only a few minutes of a sit-down with the Southern diva, on a show airing originally last May. But she got to the heart of the story, or rather Paula did, much more than Larry did in an hour during his disastrous interview. Paula (who looked beautiful, by the way), said she wanted people to learn from the mistakes of her past, which included 20 years of much unhappiness and bad choices. I think her message is a hopeful one - that even desperate people can recover to live worthwhile productive lives. You can move on from bad decisions of the past. Paula certainly seems to have a fully rewarding life, nowadays, on so many levels.Things went downhill, though, when RR and Paula went into the kitchen. Paula's obvious expertise dwarfed Rachael's by leaps and bounds. Paula is making a cake and she makes it look so easy that even Rachael could make it (and that's saying a lo
Today, Gayle King, caring girlfriend to many, talked to Anthony Bourdain, riotous antagonist to most, on her XM radio show. Unfortunately, I only caught a little of it, but it was fascinating. I liked the counterpoint between sunny and funny Gayle and surly and sarcastic Tony. In the understatement of the century, Gayle said it seemed that there were quite a few Food Network chefs that he didn't like. He went into a long explanation of what a chef was...Still Gayle was clueless. And THEN Gayle said, "I thought if they were on the Food Network, they were CHEFS, like Rachael Ray." I almost spit my teeth out of my head. To Tony's credit or perhaps DIScredit, he calmly said even Rachael Ray doesn't consider herself a chef. And Gayle repeated that she had always thought of RR as a chef, BECAUSE she appeared on the Food Network. Back to Tony talking (correctly) about how a CHEF is the leader of a troop of cooks in a professional kitchen. That IS the correct understanding of the Frenc

There comes a time in every man's life when he needs to make a very important decision: Who is hotter: Rachael Ray or Giada DeLaurentiis. I will use this blog entry to help you guide you in your decision. First of all, it is important that you know how to properly pronounce Giada's name. It's pronounced JAH-dah. It's Italian, that's how it works. Many people don't know this, and pronounce her name as jee-AH-dah.This is bad for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, it's only a matter of time before you accidentally scream her name in bed while you're making love to your homely wife, and when you do, you might as well get it right. You'll just be even more embarrassed in divorce court if you don't. With that said, let's move on to the comparison. Over the next few weeks, I will compare these two angelic specimens of loveliness in several categories, starting with beauty. Both of these ladies are exceptionally beautiful, probably more so than your wife, from what I've been to
Despite rumors of a rocky relationship, US weekly is reporting that the Food Network mogul and her husband are not splitting up. A rep for Rachael made the following statement,
“There is no truth to it and it’s a non-item….Rachael and John are happily enjoying the holiday week up at their cabin.
What’s interesting for me here is not that they are staying together despite John’s favorite past time, getting spit on by strangers, it’s that the news is reporting that they are still together like it’s something worth reporting. “Newsflash! Everything is the same as it was 10 minutes ago… carry on.”
I was watching the Daytime Emmys rather halfheartedly, when I heard a voice (a rather piercing one) coming from the audience. OMG it was Rach in an unbelievably revealing gown. At first I was shocked and then I thought, good for her - she's not in Kansas anymore, or even Albany. And I have to admit it did make me wait around to get another look at her to see if she could hold her own amongst all those soap opera sirens. She lost Best Talk Show Host to Ellen DeGeneres. No one gives an acceptance speech like Ellen and Rachael didn't look too disappointed. She's just happy her show isn't on opposite Oprah, like Ellen's is in New York.I have to say the best moment was when Elmo won. Oscar watched intently from the audience and then he, too, won a second Emmy in this category. That's good stuff. Elmo made another appearance with Tyra Banks later to help her introduce a clip of the children's programming awards presented last night. Elmo really is too cute. Ellen won her 4th Emmy for
What a surprise!!! The recipe on Rachael Ray's Show this morning was actually good, more than good...it was great. The part that WASN'T a surprise was that SHE didn't do the cooking. Kitchen warrior Mario Batali did - with actress Kristin Davis. They were promoting a online cookbook by Barilla that benefited Second Harvest. The only problem is that the show was a repeat, the cookbook is longer available AND THE RECIPE IS IN LOCKDOWN SOMEWHERE. When you go to Rachael's web site, they say you can't have THAT recipe, but try this one of Rachael's instead. NO THANK YOU. I want THAT one. I watched the show frame by frame to work out the recipe. It wasn't easy, because they were rather fuzzy on some of the details. After I had completed my recipe re-creation, I did one last search and guess what?? I found the actual recipe for the meatballs AND the sauce. (And I'm quite proud of myself, the only thing I got wrong was that I low-balled the amount of bread). Mario says, "one of the big
"What qualifications do I have to be showing all of America how to make soup?" GOOD QUESTION! When you have an answer, get back to me.That is basically what is at the heart of Rachael Ray: The True Hollywood Story. Her considerable accomplishments are admired by people who also love her for her down-to-earthiness, while others criticize her god-awful food and annoying mannerisms. There's truth in both views.I was wondering how her THS would differ from her Chefography. There were many of the same stories - how many ways exactly can you tell the tale of working behind the candy counter at Macy's? The THS WAS a bit more fleshed out and it wasn't a COMPLETELY flattering portrait (only about 98% of it was). I didn't know, for example, just HOW thrilled RR was to be working behind that candy counter. I think it was an early example of her setting her sights low and making it almost impossible to fail at such a no-brainer type of job. It did seem though that her managers took a shine to
What are we going to do about Rachael Ray? If she gets any more famous, she'll threaten to outshine the sun. She's cooked for a President, helped Michael J. Fox in his fight for Parkinson's Disease funding, saved an entire high school from a bad prom, which was a fate worse than being destroyed in a tornado (which it was) - AND THAT WAS JUST IN THE LAST EIGHT DAYS!!!NOW she's on the cover of People Magazine, which is obviously in tandem with her True Hollywood Story, premiering this Saturday night on the E Network. She is everywhere all the time. As the moderator of a particularly virulent Anti-Rachael Website points out, when asked "If you hate her so much, then why don't you just change the channel?", that's getting a little hard to do, when she has her daily talk show, her gazillion shows on the Food Network, her Dunkin' Donuts commercials, plus others, her magazine, her cd's with kitchen appropriate music AND her products are being shilled everywhere!!! 928,000 results come
Well, I HAD to see Bill on Rachael. I do love him and he looked fabulous. But before he came out, she talked about how lucky she is to have a family that gave her such a wonderful relationship with food. She wants to use that as a vehicle to give back to the world. Even SHE sounded sheepish about the name of her foundation - The Yum-O! Organization - as she announced plans for it. I get that that's one of her trademark expressions, but it's kind of dumb, even if the goals are lofty. The three goals for the Yum-O! Organization* are:Get People CookingGet Rid of Hunger in AmericaGive Culinary ScholarshipsThen she introduced a family she's working with who eats junk food three times a day. I think it's great that she's their cheerleader, but the recipes she suggested for them will not change their lives. I'm sorry, but ground turkey is not the answer to the obesity problem in America. (And she did a similar horrible thing that Giada did. But, at least, Rachael MADE hers from scratch).
I caught a 3 minute snippet of Rachael Ray's show this morning and I was thinking that my opinion of her was really right on the money. I can't stand her food, it's all a lot of the same thing, just using different combinations of ground meat and as much cheese as necessary to camouflage the lack of inventiveness. Oh wait, she did REINVENT a Caesar Salad the other day, by making a substitution for the croutons. You know what she put in instead? FRIED CHEESE RAVIOLI! That's as awful an idea as I've ever heard. Why didn't she just add Fritos and dispense with the frying? BUT that's my opinion of her cooking. My opinion of her daytime talk show hosting abilities is quite different. I think she's a very solid, stalwart, capable leader of her own show. I just wish she would get a real chef (I know, I know she never calls herself a chef) to do the cooking segments. Anyway, this part that I saw today was entertaining, although the pay-off was a bit lame. She had 3 television judges -
My girl Rachael Ray has been getting a lot of flack lately, and I may get a lot of flack for writing this, but o’well, I am going to say it anyway! Seems that yet another talented, tough, hard working girl just got too famous for where some say she is supposed to be – [...]
The very perky Rachael Ray paid for Enterprise High School’s prom after the high school lost eight of their own when their school was hit by a tornado last month. Rachael paid for the dance, planned the menu, and helped prepare dinner. I bet everything was yum-o!!
“The students of Enterprise High are so courageous, given all that they’ve gone through. When I heard about what happened to their school and classmates, we wanted to help. The prom was all about celebrating their accomplishments and honoring the classmates who tragically lost their lives.”
She filmed the evening and it will be featured on an upcoming episode of Rachael’s show later this month.

I used to watch Rachael Ray’s daytime TV show everyday at 3 because, well, I’m a sure for easy cooking (for some of 451’s own easy recipes, check out Stephanie’s blog). I haven’t watched for a while, though, because I’ve been busy, but with my new lappy top in hand, I decided to do some work in front of the TV today.
