Motorola's first full QWERTY smartphone, the Q, was designed for CDMA networks such as Sprint and Verizon Wireless. The company has since updated the device and labeled it the Motorola Q 9m, and is offering it on Verizon's EV-DO network. Verizon was able to get the device in a sexy black casing with Verizon red trim. The 'm' in the Q 9m's name stands for multimedia, and this device certainly delivers plenty of multimedia experience. The Motorola Q 9m weighs in at 134g (4.7oz) and measures 117.5mm x 65mm x 15mm (4.6" x 2.6" x .6"). For those paying attention, that's only slightly bigger than the original Motorola Q. However, this device does not look or feel any bigger in person. The Q 9m fits perfectly in one hand, making it extremely easy to use...one-handed. The back of the device is coat
The Samsung SGH-i620 is an interesting design alternative to the BlackJack design with which we're so familiar (perhaps since it resembles every other QWERTY slab on the market). We definitely liked the slick white slider we got a few minutes with at Microsoft's Mobius conference in Amsterdam. It was slim enough to fit in a pants pocket, and just as wide as the previous BlackJack, so it didn't sacrifice room in the keyboard, though we would have liked larger keys. Still, we would stop short of calling for this phone to replace the BlackJack 2 as the successor to the BlackJack. We aren't in love with touch keys, we don't think the technology is ready for prime time just yet. Especially on a business phone, hardware keys provide a more no-nonsense feel that lets you know your press will be registered every time. In our few moments with the touch buttons on the Samsung i620, the phone missed our taps a couple of times, which is a couple too many. The phone has a scroll wheel for navi

E-Ten Glofish M800 adds QWERTY keyboard to the X800: "The E-Ten and Arima partnership is really starting to bear some high-end fruit. With the launch of the E-Ten Glofish X800, the duo proved that they were comfortable playing with the big boys. It’s just too bad the Glofish X800 suffered from a lack of QWERTY keyboard. Well, E-Ten and Arima are looking to change all that. The new E-Ten Glofish M800 basically takes the WinMo6-powered X800 and adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a la AT&T Tilt (HTC Kaiser TyTn 2).The E-Ten Glofish M800’s feature set makes it a strong competitor to the AT&T Tilt. The full-VGA display is a huge plus in our book; and the 500Mhz processor, SiRFstar II GPS receiver, WiFi and 3G (HSDPA) radio keep the E-Ten Glofish M800 near the top of our list. And, just like the X800, the M800 rocks Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional and a front-facing video-calling camera. All that for €599 (about $850) starting in late November or early December.AT&T Tilt, meet E-Ten Glo
Palm has released its small and compact Centro smartphone for the low end market and its basically a stripped down version of Treo. Feature wise it can send and recieve emails along with reading and editing of documents and spreadsheets on the go, this smartphone weighs only 4.2 ounces and its a bit larger than the size of credit card. The smartphone is exclusively available in US at Sprint Nextel Corp. for whole of this year and there’s no information on when this phone will become available with other carriers forget India ..
Palm Centro is a stripped down version of Treo but at $100 i would say its worth buying if it were available in India at that price i would be definitely buying it.

QWERTY, Whats it? Free Calls, SMSModern computer keyboards include a jumbled arrangement of letters. This arrangement is often referred to as "QWERTY" (pronounced kwer-tee) since that the order of the first six letter keys on the upper-left of the keyboard. QWERTY made its debut in 1872 on a device marketed as a typewriter by inventor Christopher Sholes. Some believe that the arrangement of letters was designed to slow typing speed in the effort to prevent jamming. It is generally believed, however, that the layout was designed to put common letter pairs on opposite sides of the keyboard thereby making typing easier. Alternative layouts have been presented, such as the Dvorak version, but despite claims of superiority, the QWERTY keyboard has survived. At this point, it seems that too many people have learned the layout and are not willing to relearn key locations even if improved efficiency were promised. An interesting note about the QWERTY layout is that all the letters of the word "

Daxian has launched their candybar PDA-like handset the C8100 at the SINOCES 2007, which was being held in China.
The phone sports a respectable 1.3MP camera, which complements a 2.4” TFT touchscreen display. You will also get a built-in multimedia player and a MicroSD expansion slot to cater to all your multimedia requirements.
The phone lacks a QWERTY keyboard so it will just be common among those who are experienced in handling phones with a stick. However, the phone comes with a virtual keyboard that can be used for messaging and adding tasks and some other important notes.
The phone is not expected to reach US. Till now there is no information on the price and the availability. Stay tuned for more info.

For years we have had the “QWERTY” keyboard layout forced onto us, and to be honest if it did change I would be totally lost!
But for those whose obsession is games, these gamers have used the same keyboard as the rest of us, even though they mainly use the “WASD” keys, hence this new design for a keyboard, it is made by Wolf King and its round shape is very eye catching too. This is a dream come true for all those die hard gamers who struggle with the old keyboard.

The guys at TeamXbox had not only a nice review of the device, but even got to get an interview with “Xbox Live’s Group Program Manager”
Some highlights:
“While we are sure that game developers will implement this keyboard into their titles down the line, this peripheral was created to make text chat and IM over the Xbox 360 easier and more convenient. We are excited to see how game developers use this accessory in the future, but games were not the primary reason for its creation.”

Rumors about a QWERTY keyboard to support the Xbox 360 have been around for quite some time now and I am sure you will be glad to know that Microsoft has come up with a thumb keyboard for the 360, adding this to its ever growing list of peripherals. There are a few things you must know before you decide to get one of these: * The thumb keyboard plugs into the headphone/data jack on the bottom of the controller. * It comes bundled with its own headset since it doesn't pass the signal through, and cannot work with current peripherals.* The keyboard is backlit; the chat bubble icon in the photos is an MSN icon.
