I am a volunteer for SCORE and taking a class on “Cultural Literacy.” Susan is affiliated with the University of Cincinnati (UC), joined a newcomer’s club, and is studying German. We work out regularly at a nearby gym, and are beginning to dabble in local politics. Less fun are the medical tests that we are going through. They are mostly routine for a proactive health program, and are overdue because of the shortcomings of the New Orleans health system over the last couple of years. Delek Belron International published its financial report last week. Delek Real Estate posted NIS 1.12 billion revenue for the second quarter, triple the NIS 342.5 million posted for the corresponding quarter of 2006. However, net profit fell 35% to NIS 91.5 million because of the valuation of properties for the IPO of Delek Global in April.The increase in Delek Real Estate’s revenue was partly the result of the consolidation of Roadchef in the UK with properties acquired early in the second quarter. Cash flow from current operations totaled NIS 156 million during the first half of 2007, of which NIS 113 million was during the second quarter.

Menu Foods Income Fund, the Canadian owner of a company that recalled more than 60 million cans of pet food, reported a second-quarter net loss as sales plunged 44 percent after customers canceled orders.
The net loss was C$3.6 million ($3.4 million), or 19 cents a unit, compared with profit of C$1.97 million, or 11 cents, a year earlier, the company said today in a statement. Sales fell to C$47.2 million. Since the March 16 recall, customers accounting for at least 16 percent of revenue stopped using Menu Foods Ltd.

Menu Foods, based in Streetsville, Ontario, also said it agreed to sell a production facility in South Dakota to Mars Inc. for $26.3 million. The proceeds will go to pay down debt, the company said.

I’ve initially noticed it few days ago, there were a lot of Google spiders crawling all over my site and I’ve seen many other webmasters speak about it, few hours later I’ve checked Google’s
datacenter and noticed that they’ve made a big Backlinks update,
I knew this means only one thing, PR update.
As they tend to do it every 4 months this one is just on schedule.
Last time I’ve received PR2 which enabled me to go up to $150 USD
revenue per month; I expect this update to bring me up to PR 4.
I wonder what will it do to my revenue…
anyone else has noticed any chance in backlinks or PR?

Here comes the second installment of my quarterly asset breakdown. AGLOCO had another record week of new Member signups last week, and we know that 100% of that is due to AGLOCO Member activity. According to Google more web pages are talking about AGLOCO (2,000,000+) than Kobe Bryant or Queen Victoria, and we are now creeping up on Lindsay Lohan and David Beckham.AGLOCO was also discussed in the Economist Magazine’s new Technology Quarterly Edition. The article sub-heading reads “Online Advertising: New business models let communities of internet users control how their personal information is bought and sold.” The article discusses how Google users are not getting Google services for free, but rather how users trade personal information to Google in exchange for their services … and that Internet users are only now starting to realize their own value. Truckload carrier Landstar System said Thursday its first-quarter net income fell to $21.6 million or 38 cents a share, from $24.4 million or 41 cents a year ago.
Revenue fell to $577 million from $610 million in the previous first quarter, Landstar said in a statement.
Net income included a $5 million charge for a severe accident in the first quarter, reducing the profit by $3.1 million or 5 cents a share, Landstar said.
The company’s carrier group of companies generated $424 million in the quarter, down from $428 million a year earlier.
Landstar’s board also authorized purchase of an additional 2 million shares of its common stock “from time to time in the open market and in privately negotiated transactions,” the company said.
Prices and lower volumes in the first part of the quarter began to ease in the latter half, said Landstar Chief Executive Officer Henry Gerkens.
