      My Pro Bowl Ballot:Quarterbacks
I hate how the NFL opens up pro bowl balloting in October. It’s like selecting an All-star team at midseason. Wait, you mean baseball, basketball and hockey all do that? Well, that’s silly. Anyway, I’ve waited this long for a reason: I wanted to see more of the season play out before I blindly vote [...]

Here is a list of the top 25 HS quarterbacks as compiled by Bob Chmiel and Randy Taylor at the NCSA. Check out #10 Qb Garrett Gilbert in action."Gilbert is a talented pocket passer but with escapability. Can make all the throws and shows good poise under pressure. He's the premier quarterback in this class when it comes to versatility because he can be effective dropping back or running a read opt

      Top Ten NFL Quarterbacks
Who are the top ten NFL quarterbacks of all time? Well, I am going to do this post entirely on statistics- number of touchdown passes and passer rating. But statistics can never tell everything! Please leave a comment and tell me who you think is the best quarterback of all time. Top 10 by total TD passes: (up until the end of the 2007 season) Brett Favre (442). Favre holds many NFL

Where Have All the Quarterbacks Gone?
A lot of NFL teams are desperate for a quarterback right about now, the Vikings, Bears, Lions, Chiefs, and Buccaneers. Then you have a few more teams that have an ancient and/or declining quarterback situation like the Dolphins, Cardinals, Jets, and you could even make a case for the Rams, 49ers and Seahawks needing help at quarterback. So with an obvious shortage of quality quarterbacks in the N

      Ranking The NFL’s Backup Quarterbacks
Don Banks of SI.com takes a look at and ranks the backup quarterbacks in the NFL for each team. Coming in at number two may surprise some of you. Jets quarterback Brett Ratliff is on Banks list as the No. 2. 22. New York Jets: Brett Ratliff — The “other” Brett on the Jets’ roster has [...]

The natives grew restless with our last “Value City” posting. We got tons of email about quarterbacks that we left our list of QBs with the highest fantasy “value.” It got us... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

      Value City…Quarterbacks Edition
Every fantasy football owner loves draft picks with high “value,” picks made late in the draft that will put up solid numbers for your team all season. For example, a 10th round pick that... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

      Fantasy Football Rankings: Quarterbacks
      1. Tom BradyWho would have said otherwise? Brady was amazing last season throwing for 4806 yards and 50 TDs. I highly doubt he will repeat those numbers or anything remotely close to them but Brady should still be the number one QB. He should put up some freakish numbers again though.2. Peyton ManningIf you need a QB you can trust it's Manning. He is no risk for injury at all and you know what you

      Fantasy Football Rookie Quarterbacks 2008
Its pretty rare that a rookie quarterback comes in and makes an immediate fantasy impact. But its good to have a rough idea of what is available just in case. Here are the top rookie fantasy football quarterbacks for 2008.Matt Ryan - Atlanta Falcons - The best chance to start in 2008 of any of the rookie QB's.Chad Henne - Miami Dolphins - He's a project, but the Dolphins could give him a shot this year if things go south for the offense.Brian Brohm - Green Bay Packers - Aaron Rodgers should be ready to start, but if he falters, Brohm could get some snaps.

      Top 10: Quarterbacks
This is an intriguing QB class, but a one man show at the top without Vince Young, who is said to be staying at Texas--though a National Championship and/or Heisman Trophy could still influence his decision. Depth is solid in '06 with a wide variety of mid-to-late round gems. Clemson QB, Charlie Whitehurst, has fallen completey off the list. Erik Meyer is a prospect that scouts love and could be r

Top 10 Mobile Quarterbacks Of All Time: Randall Cunningham
Seeing Randal play like that in Minnesota makes you wish Buddy Ryan just cared even a tiny little bit about offense. What if Cris Carter had never gotten into drugs? What if the Iggles had hired Jeff Fisher instead of Rich Kotite? What could have been.

Mike Brey Can Play Both of His Quarterbacks
Although the win-loss record lately has given them no particular reason, Notre Dame fans have been known to pay a little attention to the Fighting Irish football team. So when he needs to speak to his followers in a language they clearly understand, like when he was addressing season ticket holders after a weekend intrasquad scrimmage, Mike Brey knows how to reach them. "Around here, they're

Fresno State - Texas A&M: Quarterbacks
by nscI am going to have be honest right from the start with all who read the Bulldog blog. There will be very few times this season that I give Fresno State the advantage with respect to the QB situation. I realize that many of you believe in Brandstater but until he proves that he can carry this team on the field I am not going to give the Dogs the advantage in the QB area of play. With that being said Stephen McGee comes into this game as the more accomplished QB if for nothing less than his win-loss record in games he has started at Texas A&M. Without further adieu here is the comparison of the two QB's which includes what they did last season as well:Tom Brandstater - We all know the story with this kid. Tom has the arm. Tom has the size. Tom has the quickness. But will Tom have the confidence and state of mind to succeed in College Station? When all is said and done that is exactly what it comes down to for Brandstater and the Bulldogs. Fresno State needs a team leader and Brand

      Naysayers Nation: Fantasy Quarterbacks
Welcome to the Naysayers Nation where, once again, we perfect the art of debunking popular opinion and exposing fantasy football myths. This week we tackle a critical fantasy football position...the quarterback. Numerous fantasy drafts are taking place and owners are dropping the ball, buying into advice propagated by fantasy experts on the big money sites. These owners are passing on QBs that should be on their squads. Some of these signal callers were snagged by other owners, while some are out there in the free agent pool, ripe for the picking. Here are 3 QB delusions that have spread like wildfire this month...Rex Grossman is not worth a draft pickWe here at The Nation disagree. Rex has been in the league since 2003, but has played only one full season. And while last season's stats don't exactly jump off the page at you, Grossman did lead his team to the Super Bowl. That has to do something for a QB's confidence. We think Grossman will show tremendous improvement in 2007, partic

      Bears Quarterbacks Shine
Quarterbacks Rex Grossman, Brian Griese and Kyle Orton combined to complete 30 of 42 passes for 273 yards with 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and a 94.6 passer rating in a 20-19 comeback victory over the Houston Texans. “We were pleased with how all three quarterbacks played,” said coach Lovie Smith. Reported by Larry Mayer, ChicagoBears.com <<<Hotwire>>> Everybody is raving about how sharp Grossman has looked in camp and its now transpiring onto the field.  Let’s hope he can sustain some consistency during the next couple of weeks.

2007 Top 20 Pre Pro Fantasy Quarterbacks (Preseason)
Looking for a cheat sheet of the top 20 players to draft at each position? Here's our take on the elite QBs in the nation that you should be targeting in the early rounds of your draft. We'll list our Top 20 RBs tomorrow and the Top 20 WRs and Top 20 TEs on Friday. Fantasy MVPs1. Pat White, West Virginia (1655 PaYd, 13 PaTD, 7 PaINT, 1219 RuYd, 18 RuTD) - White isn't necessarily a top-flight passer, but he does tons of damage with his legs. He'll probably approach the 20 RuTD mark for the second consecutive season.2. Colt Brennan (pic left via Meerkat Products), Hawaii (5549 PaYd, 58 PaTD, 12 PaINT) - Brennan set the world on fire last year with an incredible 58 TDs. His competition this season is terrible so we expect similar numbers, but we doubt he'll hit the 60 TD mark.3. Graham Harrell, Texas Tech (4555 PaYd, 38 PaTD, 11 PaINT) With the Red Raiders' high octane offense still in place, Harrell should amass these same types of numbers. 4. Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan (3031 P

Quarterbacks for the 2008 NFL Draft
The top quarterback on everybody's draft board is Louisville's Brian Brohm, with both NFL caliber receivers Harry Douglas and Mario Urrutia returning, there is every reason to believe Brohm will be the first player selected in the 2008 NFL Draft. Brohm has good size at 6' 3" 223 pounds, stands tall in the pocket and delivers the ball with supreme accuracy. He has a strong arm but not a cannon, his accuracy is his forte. He has the blood line; he is the fourth Brohm to play quarterback for the Cardinals. Last season (2006) he was the Big East offensive Player of the Year and over his three year career he has thrown for 6,751 yards and 41 touchdowns with only 12 interceptions. Brohm is a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate. His only weakness has been his ability to stay healthy. One of the top quarterbacks available for the 2009 NFL Draft is Brohm's back-up Hunter Cantwell. The 6' 4" 230 pound junior has a strong arm and very good mechanics. When Brohm has been injured Cantwell has

      Spring Review: Quarterbacks
Fresno State was the last Division I-A school to start spring football practice (April 9) and concluded May 1. The Bulldogs pushed back spring ball to lengthen their strength and conditioning program. The philosophy worked. The "Dogs looked great and escaped with no major injuries. BarkBoard.com will breakdown the key position battles that took place and what to expect in the fall. The top storyline heading into and out of spring 2006 was the quarterback position. Tom Brandstater was the starter in 2006 and after a subpar season at the helm, he entered spring 2007 as the detested incumbent by many Bulldog fans. Again, the quarterback position was the big storyline of spring. Did he do enough this spring erase the bad memories of 2006?read more at BarkBoard.com...©Copyright 2006, The Fresno State Football Blog/barkboard.com and Scout.com. All rights reserved.

      Raiders Draft Outlook: Quarterbacks
With our current draft position, there are a couple of Quarterbacks that could warrant a look. The first and most likely choice is Jemarcus Russell. Russell is the most physically gifted of the Quarterbacks in the upcoming draft and can throw a deep ball that will make Al Davis drool. He is currently the first or second Quarterback selected in most Mock Drafts and his stock will not drop after the combine due his remarkable physical skills. He is a bit raw and may need a little time to develop properly but he could be worth the wait. If he is drafted, there is a good chance he could sit on the bench his first season. If that is the case, look for us to either keep Aaron Brooks on the roster or pick up another veteran Quarterback for the upcoming season.Another viable option is Brady Quinn. His stock may be dropping slightly after a poor bowl game outing but he may be the most NFL-ready Quarterback in the draft. I have a feeling that Quinn will drop a few picks after the NFL com

Musings on babies, quarterbacks, and supermodels
I don't know why, but I'm completely captivated by the whole Bridget Moynahan-Tom Brady story. The breakup, the pregnancy, the supermodel, the accusations, and the Catholicism -- but now, mostly, the war of the publicists. This has all the makings of a great movie. Let's see: You have a Superbowl winning conservative Catholic (and Republican) star quarterback, his older, pregnant, C-list actress ex-girlfriend (whose most recent career move was a bad TV show that mysteriously disappeared off the fall schedule), and the 10-years-younger supermodel. Then again, the story would be way better if one of them killed the others.* I should start writing the screenplay now.In all seriousness, though, I officially agree with Salon: What I do have an issue with is that the editorial judges Moynahan for being pregnant with a man she had a three-year relationship with, while not questioning or judging Brady for frolicking around Europe with a lingerie model on his arm while his pregnant ex an
