What a bunch of bullshit thisis. President Bush and other government officials are going to stop calling al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations Islamic or Muslims. On top of that they are also going to stop using the terms jihad and mujahedeen.

According to recent U.S. government reports and senior U.S. counterterrorism officials, contesting al-Qaeda's message is no less important than capturing or killing the group's operatives. And as the administration prioritizes its agenda for the last eight months in office, recognizing the need for a refocused communication plan to highlight the bankruptcy of al-Qaeda's ideology is a critical -- albeit overdue -- part of a reengineered counterterrorism strategy. The State Department's 2007 Country...(read more)
Scotland's new terror tsar has warned that the threat from right-wing extremism is as damaging to community relations as the menace posed by al-Qaeda.In an exclusive interview on his first day as the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland's counter terrorism co-ordinator, Allan Burnett said forces should not ignore the latent neo-Nazi presence across the UK. Fife's assistant chief constable said the public is at risk because racism is being used to unite people into violent causes. He said this also undermines police work to reassure the Muslim community following the attack on Glasgow Airport last year.Burnett said: "We've had a number of right-wing issues recently in the UK that again have raised their head in Scotland. There have been serious cases down south that have been re

“Al-Qaeda” atau “Al-CIAda”: Iran dan Teori Konspirasi 9/11

~Snooper~Really. Who would have thought such a thing as that? The Democrats, when the label "Liberal" became anathema - no pun intended - they had to change it to "Progressive" to at least pretend that they were trying to "progress". Progress towards what is still an unspoken reality of socialist ideals. So the terrorist group Al Qaeda In Iraq changed their name to the Islamic Army of Iraq. Just like the Liberal Democrats, Al Qaeda had to change their name to give at least the impression of a credible entity. Those of us that pay attention to details know that when a group has to change their "label" or nomenclature, something is wrong with that group...they are hiding what they really are because they have zero credibility. Liberal/Progressive, AlQaeda/Islamic Army of Iraq...two pe

When I started this website in January 2005, I never envisioned that that Al Qaeda would target us for a hit piece over the Internet. Well, voila , the blessed day has arrived. Dubai, 15 April (AKI) - A jihadist message posted to an al-Qaeda linked website urges Allah to "curse" Italy's prime minister-elect, billionaire media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi, and also Pope Benedict XVI. "May Allah curse and unleash his wrath on him [Berlusconi], and the evil Pope," read the message, which recently appeared on one of the main jihadist websites, the al-Qaeda linked Al-Hesbah. The message was signed by 'al-Wahabi'. "Urgent news" read a banner headline on Al-Hesbah. "Berlusconi wins the Italian general election and becomes premier for the third time. From Polidics.com : BBC's killer documentary called "The Power of Nightmares". Top CIA officials openly admit, Al-qaeda is a total and complete fabrication, never having existed at any time. The Bush administration needed a reason that complied with the Laws so they could go after "the bad guy of their choice" namely laws that had been set in place to protect us from mobs and "criminal organizations" such as the Mafia. They paid Jamal al Fadl, hundreds of thousands of dollars to back the U.S. Government's story of Al-qaeda, a "group" or criminal organization they could "legally" go after. Ayman Al-Zawahri Al-Qaeda now feels the need to exploit the Gaza debacle and the Danish cartoon controversy. Al-Qaeda generally stays away from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and hasn't spent a whole lot of time obsessing over the Danish cartoons other than the occasional statement. In my opinion, the most important point in the second tape in two days by Osama Bin Laden is his reiteration of long-held Al Qaeda doctrine that victory in Iraq is critical to the long-term success of the jihad throughout the Middle East, ending in victory over and the destruction of the State of Israel. Bin Laden issues a renewed call for jihadists to win in Iraq in order to support the Palestinian cause: "The nearest Jihad (holy war) battlefield to support our people in Palestine is the battlefield...(read more)

Saudi security forces.Saudi security forces and the government's intelligence branch took a while to gear up to combat Al-Qaeda attacks inside the Kingdom's own borders following the May 2003 bombing of a residential compound. But the Saudi government has done remarkably well in capturing or killing Al-Qaeda suspects in the past three years as evident in this latest security sweep reported by Agence France-Presse. Saudi security men initially shot first and asked questions later, resulting in many bloody exchanges. But their methods have been refined and the results are more arrests while plots are in the planning stages rather than reacting to an attack. Clearly the Saudi government has something to offer American military leaders in Iraq and Afghanistan to deal with Al-Qaeda cells, but

But the report also gives us a look into Al-Qaeda's extensive operations inside the Kingdom. And although Al-Qaeda has suffered many failures it remains a threat today to Saudi Arabia. Al-Qaeda is finally admitting what the Main Stream Media and the Democrats cannot and won't: al-Qaeda is on its way out in Iraq and victory is getting closer by the day. In their own words:Al-Qaeda in Iraq faces an "extraordinary crisis". Last year's mass defection of ordinary Sunnis from al-Qaeda to the US military "created panic, fear and the unwillingness to fight". The terrorist group's security structure suffered "total collapse".These are the words not of al-Qaeda's enemies but of one of its own leaders in Anbar province once the group's stronghold. They were set down last summer in a 39 page letter seized during a US raid on an al-Qaeda base near Samarra in November. The US military released extracts from that letter yesterday along with a second seized in another November raid that
Al Qaeda has regrouped in Pakistan's remote Afghan border area and begun to focus attacks on the Pakistani government and military, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Friday."There is no question that some of the areas in the frontier area have become areas where Al Qaeda has re-established itself," Gates said. "But so far, we haven't seen any significant consequence of that in Afghanistan itself.Gates said the Pentagon was looking for ways to improve the Pakistani army's counter-insurgency capabilities by providing training and equipment.More than 400 people have been killed in suicide bomb attacks in Pakistan in recent months, most in the North West Frontier Province.
Behold the latest phase in Al Qaeda's media strategy. The shadowy terror network is offering up Ayman al-Zawahiri, to any journalists with questions for its No. 2 man. The invitation, issued by the group's media arm, As-Sahaab (The Cloud), came at the end of a 90-minute video message from Zawahiri, posted on one of the group's various militant Web pages. In the statement, released Dec. 16, Zawahiri invites "individuals, agencies and all media" to submit written questions via one of As-Sahaab's Web forums. He calls upon the "brothers" who supervise the site "to collect the questions and transmit them without alteration, whether it is coming from someone who agrees or disagrees."This is the first time Al Qaeda has made a formal call to journalists, although it will not be the first time the radical Islamic group has granted interviews to Western media. Counterterrorism experts believe that the posting is genuine and that it is part of Al Qaeda's evolving tactics to use the Web as par

I just heard the most predictable factoid: 41% of Al Qaeda fighters in Iraq are Saudi Arabians. Apparently record keeping by some Al Qaeda higher-ups has been captured by the U.S. military and careful records have revealed a detailed accounting of the social and regional makeup of the Al Qaeda operatives inside Iraq. Many of these Islamic terrorists are being recruited directly off of Islamic college campuses across the Middle East and around the world. This, again, is quite predictable.
Islam demands this sort of sacrifice and its followers anticipate rewards in Paradise. How can we continue to act as if this is just a symptom of “radical” Islam and still look ourselves in the mirror? I certainly gave up that notion years ago, so I’m not surprised by any of these revelations.

Kiriakou's remarkable media blitz began on network evening news broadcasts on Dec. 10 and continued the next day on morning shows and cable nets as he recounted how Al Qaeda associate Abu Zubaydah was broken within 30 seconds of being waterboarded after his 2002 capture in Pakistan. But Kiriakou's outpouring of details about one of the most highly classified programs in the U.S. government - possibly intended to nail a book deal - may get him into hot water. Informed sources flatly denied the accuracy of one news report that CIA and Justice Department officials last week decided against investigating Kiriakou for the unauthorized disclosure of classified information. The publicity generated by the ex-operativ

Here are few remarks about the bombings in Algeria today: An Al Qaeda link? Most experts in Algeria and the Arab world believe this terror campaign is either inspired or ordered by al Qaeda in the Maghreb. Even if the execution is perpetrated by local Jihadist groups it is part of the Salafist general offensive against Algeria's Government and an extension to the North African operations by al Qaeda Maghreb in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and possibly later Libya. This attack in Algeria...(read more)

Here is a sample of CT Blog posts by Olivier Guitta , Evan Kohlmann , Walid Phares , and Jeffrey Imm , in chronological order starting with the most recent: New worrying signs...(read more)
French authorities have searched the home of a journalist and placed him under official investigation for publishing a document on Al Qaeda that was classified a defence secret, a judicial source said yesterday.Guillaume Dasquie was placed under official investigation overnight – one step short of pressing charges in France – after spending two nights in detention, the source said.Paris prosecutors said a second person, detained at the same time as Dasquie, had also been placed under official investigation, but declined to give the person’s name. The investigation relates to an article published in Le Monde in April entitled Sept 11, 2001 – The French knew a lot about it, in which Dasquie cited reports by the DGSE foreign intelligence service dating back to 2000 and 2001.Dasquie, an independent journalist, is accused of possessing classified defence documents and divulging classified files and information, the source said.“I’m profoundly upset by what I have gone through,”

According to Reuters, more than 5,600 websites are spreading Al-Qaeda’s extremist ideology worldwide, with more than 900 new ones appearing every year.
A Saudi researcher has identified the Internet as a key battlefield for militants who launched a campaign to topple the U.S.-allied ruling royal family in 2003.
Khaled al-Faram gave a presentation to the Information Technology and National Security conference in the Saudi capital Riyadh. The conference was organized by the Saudi intelligence agency to encourage the public to cooperate more with the government and share expertise on how to survey the Internet for militant activity.
He said it was difficult to track most of the sites, though hardcore al Qaeda sites often change addresses to avoid detection or start up again elsewhere once infiltrated.
“There are some 900 news sites appearing every year, and despite the retreat of some media outlets specifically run by al Qaeda, extremist Web sites are constantly on the rise.&r
A local militia calling itself the “revolutionaries of Adhamiyah” took over the Sunni district on the east bank of the Tigris on November 10 in a swift and audacious raid that sent Al-Qaeda fleeing from its last stronghold in Baghdad. On Friday, members of the “revolutionaries of Adhamiyah” controlled main roads into the neighbourhood as well the square housing the famous Abu Hanifa mosque where Saddam Hussein made his last public appearance before fleeing Baghdad in 2003 as US-led forces invaded the country…“Our men seized 11 car bombs and discovered several clandestine bomb-making workshops,” said the chief of the “revolutionaries of Adhamiyah”, surrounded by armed bodyguards.More...
Italian daily Il Secolo XIX online edition has been claiming that Romania houses an Al-Qaeda training camp. The paper reported that 3 Al-Qaeda members, one of them the leader of the Easteuropean ramification, are hiding in Romania, where they established training camps.According to the publication, Italian authorities intercepted phone calls of several terrorist suspects including clues that Al-Qaeda members settled in Galati, Romania, where they train those who aspire to fight for the Jihad how to use explosive devices. During an inquiry by the Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale (ROS) of the Genoa Police, the investigators intercepted a conversation between two terrorist suspects, Tunisians Jameleddine Ben Mohamed Ben Moussa and Bechir Kaouana. They mentioned Al-Qaeda training camps in Romania, used for training future Jihad fighters to make and use explosive devices.Bucharest-based daily Ziua writes that the SRI (Romanian Intelligence Service) has confirmed the information, mentionin
Hotair: I have the clip, although for obvious reasons I’m not going to post it. They even kept the name of the town in which he lives onscreen for most of the segment so I can’t show you the bit with the nut in the burqa saying she wants to kill him. But here’s the strangest part, which isn’t clear from the Gates of Vienna post: Vilks is aware that they’re filming him in front of the two houses. It’s not some stock shot of the door and the light fixture; it’s him, entering the building, with the camera right in his face. Unless CNN led him to believe that they weren’t filming or weren’t going to use the footage, and there’s no reason to think that they did, it was all done with his willing participation. Which, given the bounty placed on his head by Al Qaeda in Iraq and the verdict of Swedish police that he’s not safe at home, makes him one recklessly special idiot.
Bomb Detonates in Sugar Factory in Northeast Afghanistan as School Children VisitedA bomb went off Tuesday in Baghlan province, Afganistan, at a Sugar Factory where a small group of National Legislators were meeting, along with 59 school children and their teachers for a visit. It's currently unknown if the fatal blast was caused by a suicide bomb or a detonated explosive device. It is the single deadlist terrorist attack in Afganistan since the Taliban's ouster in 2001.I'm personally in awe at this. Nuts! These Islamic Fascist Terrorist arseholes have no regard for anyone's life, not even school children! I mean come on man .. this is bad like Beslan bad. This should be getting more coverage. I know I know.. the target was the legislators, but they could've called it off, someone detonated the device or set it to go at that tme. It's just wrong, unexcusable. Whichever "Mullah" or Terrorist "Sheikh" ordered this one should get strung up and beheaded by his own boys, it's despicab
It’s not the purpose of this blog to talk about politics. However, there have recently been some outrageous press comments made about Qatar. These started after it emerged Rudy Gulliano has a security contract with the Qatar petroleum, protecting a gas processing facility, and I couldn't resist the urge to comment. This really has been some ridiculous press: Rudy Giuliani's Al Qaeda Connection? screams Radar Online, while the All Spin Zone maintains that "old Rudy Guiliani has huge connections to Al Qaeda" and that he "claims to fight terrorism while cozying up to the terrorists".The accusations of connections to Al Qaeda are based on events that took place in 1996, six years before the start of Rudy Giulani's contact with Qatar Petroleum. An Al Qaeda terrorist was hiding out in Qatar, and it is alleged that a sympathiser based in the government gave the terrorist the nod before he could be arrested. The unsubstantiated allegations may or may not be true, although Qatar strongly den

The FBI has released a report detailing the prospect that Al Qaeda may be plotting to strike shopping malls this holiday season. That’s taking the ‘War on Christmas’ to an entirely new level. Ho, ho, ho! Allahu Akbar!
From ABC News:
The FBI is warning that al Qaeda may be preparing a series of holiday attacks on U.S. shopping malls in Los Angeles and Chicago, according to an intelligence report distributed to law enforcement authorities across the country this morning. Click here for full text.
The alert said al Qaeda “hoped to disrupt the U.S. economy and has been planning the attack for the past two years.”
Law enforcement officials tell ABCNews.com that the FBI received the information in late September and declassified it yesterday for wide distribution.
The alert, like similar FBI and Department of Homeland Security terror alerts issued over the past five years at holiday times, raised questions about the credibility of the information.

The so-called Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb may adopt the strategy of recruiting illegal immigrants as it is easy to convince them in view of their difficult social situations, according to security experts. A total of 5,049 foreigners who were illegally staying in Algeria have been arrested by the National Gendarmerie services since January. Of them 3,850 have been repatriated. Most of foreign illegal immigrants come from Niger, Mali, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, Libya and Syria. More...
There is up to 2,000 people in the UK who are a threat to national security because of their support for terrorism, the head of MI5 has said.Such a figure does not particularly surprise me. Recent foreign policy has served to alienate the Muslim community within Britain to some extent. Radical leaders have found their stages in mosques around the country and free from outside influence work on the minds of the weak and impressionable. What does surprise me is that Johnathan Evans (the head of MI5) claims children as young as 15 are being targeted by Al-Qaeda for terrorist-related activity. These are perhaps the most vulnerable people in society, and so potentially the biggest threats. It immediately reminds me of the Hitler Youth. The Nazi party used the Hitler Youth to infiltrate the minds

Scores of Fatah policemen who used to serve in the Palestinian Authority security forces in the Gaza Strip have now joined the al-Qaida-affiliated group calling itself the Army of Islam, sources in the Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry told The Jerusalem Post Thursday.
Meanwhile, Fatah's armed wing, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades, claimed responsibility for
On November 3, Al Qaeda's number 2 Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri called for attacks on Western interests throughout North Africa, and called for the overthrow of leaders of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. Osama bin Laden’s followers announced Monday, Oct. 29, the launching of Electronic Jihad. On Sunday, Nov. 11, al Qaeda’s electronic experts will start attacking Western, Jewish, Israeli, Muslim apostate and Shiite Web sites until hundreds of thousands of Islamist hackers are in action against untold numbers of anti-Muslim sites.
A small private intelligence company that monitors Islamic terrorist groups obtained a new Osama bin Laden video ahead of its official release last month, and around 10 a.m. on Sept. 7, it notified the Bush administration of its secret acquisition. It gave two senior officials access on the condition that the officials not reveal they had it until the al-Qaeda release.Within 20 minutes, a range of intelligence agencies had begun downloading it from the company’s Web site. By midafternoon that day, the video and a transcript of its audio track had been leaked from within the Bush administration to cable television news and broadcast worldwide. The founder of the company, the SITE Intelligence Group, says this premature disclosure tipped al-Qaeda to a security breach and destroyed a years-long surveillance operation that the company has used to intercept and pass along secret messages, videos and advance warnings of suicide bombings from the terrorist group’s communications network.

On the heels of Tom Ricks and Karen DeYoung's excellent Washington Post piece about the internal military debate over whether to declare victory over Al Qaeda in Iraq, given its decimation, we write in today's New York Daily News about those in the intelligence community who feel it's way too soon to dance another victory jig in Baghdad's Paradise Square. CTBlog contributors Evan Kohlmann and Bill Roggio are quoted in my story, as are several intelligence officials who were curiously hesitant to...(read more)
