He was excited about his new goggles. I could tell that he couldn't wait to jump into the pool when we took him for a site inspection. Then again, I must admit that Putrajaya Shangri-la hotel does have a beautiful adult and children pool with lovely views of Putrajaya. We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the pool...

My in laws decided to take us out for dinner at Summer Palace, Marriot, Putrajaya. After a loooong drive on a NEW highway, we got there...And cam whored a bit.The first dish...Peking duck! The duck, from Peking...nah, just cooked that way.. Wasn't crispy enough, the skin..The actual dish, with the duck skin wrapped up in a roll, with spring onions and a lot of nice tasting stuff..but we had better at Marco Polo.Next came ostrich fried with spring onions..the meat was way too salty and tough...so MIL got it replaced with this...It was supposed to be prawns stir fried with edamame beans, but they gave us french beans instead... the prawns were nice and juicy though, so no complaints. Putrajaya bridge is falling down, falling down
Great! Just great!A few days ago our Information Minister Dato’ Seri Zainuddin Maidin gave us the indication that our Malaysian press may have been given explicit instruction to concoct perpetrated news that could win the hearts of the Malaysian public. Any other news that may jeopardize the nation or to be more precise, the government, could have been instructed to be played down or suppressed!Excellent!Well, guess what my dear good Dato’… I’m sure that you would know by now that those France-based folks over at Reporters Without Borders Dot Org have recently released their Worldwide Press Freedom Index for the year 2007. Do you know how and where they rank Malaysia this year?Pathetic! We are in the 124th position (MalaysiaKini has more on this story) out of 169 countries! Even Israel and Tonga are ranked higher than Malaysia! How embarrassing!Malaysia Boleh, my dear Dato’, eh? :-)What a heartbreaker! This whole thing really spoils up our current government feel-good propaga

      Stressful ‘Holiday’ at Putrajaya
I got a free night stay in Shangri-la hotels, and DH suggested that we spend it in Putrajaya Shangri-la during the Raya holiday. That’s how we ended up in Putrajaya on Sun-Mon. Guess we made a right choice, away from the crowd in the city. Nothing much to do there, but enough to stress us. Well, actually with my 2 kids, wherever we are, we would be stressed. My two kids have their own ‘problems’. Take Ian as example. He has poo-poo problem. He never go regularly, and he always want to poo-poo at the least convenient moment - meal time. And he never want to do it in public toilet. He always want to hold it till he reaches home, or in this case the hotel room. We wanted to eat something that Ian loves most - the chicken rice. So we went to Alamanda’s Chicken Rice Shop. When our dinner just arrived, Ian had difficulties eating (his first sign of stomach stress). Then, he screamed (yes, practically screamed) loudly that ‘it’ is coming out &l

      Putrajaya
Putrajaya is the location for Malaysia’s central government. It is arguably the pride of Malaysia’s impressive structure as its buildings act as proof to this very statement. Furthermore, all the buildings are inspired by a hybrid of influences, from Middle Eastern architecture to a blend of local designs. However, no matter where the building’s design inspirations are derived from, visitors from

Cari Menantu TV9 - Pusingan Terakhir di Putrajaya International Convention Centre
Phooh..What a night..I just got back from Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) for the akad nikah.

      Lost in Putrajaya
Yesterday I had a business event to attend in Shangri-la Putrajaya.  As much as I feared, I got lost again in Putrajaya, couldn’t find my way to the hotel! This is the second time I got lost in that area!  Last time, I tried to get to the Cyber View Lodge Resort in Cyberjaya, and I was lost too. Well, I actually know where the hotel is, been there before 4 years ago.  But what I could recall was just: it is in the centre of the huge round-about in the ‘city centre’.  If I get to the ‘huge roundabout thingy’, I will know how to get to Shangri-la.  My problem is, I don’t know how to get to that ‘huge roundabout thingy’ from the highway! Okay, I admit that I am as blur as a sotong.  I printed out the map the night before, left it at the printer!  Then, I thought I could find the way by reading the signboards along the roads.  I ‘bravely’ drove my way there without asking anyone for directions! Alright, I finally reach

      Putrajaya at nite
Putrajaya is a planned city and a Federal Territory that acts as a federal government administration centre of Malaysia moved from the overcrowding and congestion of Kuala Lumpur. However, Kuala Lumpur still serves as Malaysia's national and legislative capital. The city is located at 2°55' North, 101°40' East (2.91667, 101.667).The city is named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. In Bahasa Melayu, "Putra" means prince while "Jaya" means excellent or success. The city has only been raised recently and it is still undergoing massive development.
