Since I like blogging so much, since I think about blogging a lot and since I spend a lot of time blogging, I think it's time to define (actually re-define) my purposes for blogging...I started blogging in October 2006 to have an outlet for my thoughts. A place to write down my introspection. Hence the title "Liza's Eyeview" and the subtitle "from the peak of the mountain looking down, from the pit of the valley looking up, and somewhere in between looking in, my thoughts are written here".Now on my fifth month of blogging, I discovered that blogging is much more than just writing my thoughts in...there is so much more. Therefore, I want to establish them now...so I can see my direction here...1. To write my thoughts (as mentioned on second paragraph of this post). Interestingly, not only do I write my thoughts period..but I also am learning to develop my writing skills (that's a bonus)2. Meet new friends and a support group on-line. I was listening to a radio program on my way home from work tonight. They were discussing a book. Forgive me if I don't remember the title but it was something like The Purpose Driven or something similar sounding to that. In any event the author of the book went out and questioned a bunch of elderly people to find out what their regrets were. This of course makes perfect sense! Who better to ask than elderly people to learn what our own regrets might be if we don't do some serious changing starting today! They came up with three top regrets. The drum roll please…I don't necessarily know the order of these but the top three regrets of the elderly were1. They wish that they would have reflected upon their lives more instead of getting caught up in the daily things.2. They wish that they would have taken more risks in their careers and their relationships.3. The wish that they had stopped and figured out their purpose in life.
