I had a gentleman walk into my office a week or so ago. He moved here from Kansas City and worked in a western suburb. He'd only been here a few days, but could already tell he really wanted to live in Cleveland. He wants to rent so we set out to explore a few things; our first efforts did not work out and this week I found myself down on East Fourth Street looking for rental possibilities. Comicon's Pulse, which is a lot better than Newsarama, did an interview with Tony Bedard, who's now getting the job of writing Supergirl at DC. He says he enjoys writing books with female leads. That figures, since he first came to prominence writing at least two books for CrossGen that had two lady leads.Bedard might be just what the Maiden of Might needs just now in scriptwriting, as he does seem to have some good talent for writing books with ladies in the lead. It should be hoped though that he won't come up against any editorial interference, something that's become more noticable of recent.

Hi all,Want to know something? I really enjoyed painting this one. Of course I love all my creative offspring but one does have ones favorites! There’s always the one that possesses that certain spark, that special elusive quality. One that leaves you with a delicious taste of satisfaction. I wanted a sunset theme with an abstract quality. Something that worked both as an image and as a playful expression in paint.The result was Pulse (Acrylic on box canvas 40x20 inches or 102x51cm) which seemed to resemble some throbbing storm of turbulent colour. A fiery swirl reminiscent of some molten planet forever in flux. As I gazed at the finished result (as you do with that sense of smug self congratulatory ego stretching!) it seemed to almost glow, to throb even, with an internal pulse. Wondering what makes you tick or how fast you're ticking? Find out with the Pulse Ring, the smallest heart rate monitor I've ever seen. Okay, it’s downright unattractive, but that’s beside the point. It pretty much does the same thing as its larger counterparts (but with no chest strap required). It will track your heart rate and continuously display it on the small LCD display. It has a range of 30-250 beats per minute; mind you though, if your heart rate is in the 250 beats per minute range... well, er', you might want to slow things down a bit!
