I found the reflection in the puddle, of the the sunset clouds, to be very beautiful. The reflection looks even more beautiful than the real clouds. A simple puddle can create nice pictures if you use your imagination
The weather has been very bad the last few days here in northern Norway so I welcomed this opportunity to photograph the small opening in the heavy layers of clouds. Maybe I should go outside and photograph the bad weather?

The MLS will expand to 14 teams next year when San Jose returns to the league and in 2009, Seattle will join up to make it 15. What I'm wondering is, why? If anything, the league should restructure itself to less teams and bottleneck the already watered-down talent in the league. I mean, are they looking to make a better product or more money? It would seem the former would be better for the fans and US Soccer as a whole since the spaces for players would become more scarce, forcing players to 'up' their game if they want a coveted spot. Also, the level of play in the MLS would increase with better players squaring off against one another night in and night out. In the end, the winners would be the fans and the National Team, which is why I don't see the point of expansion.Putting out a more watered down product than they already do is only going to drive fans like me away. New Year's Greetings to all ! Though I took a short break from posting here I have been hard at work pushing some paint around! Actually, I'm beginning to fulfill a New Year's Resolution, to have 6-10 large paintings completed for an upcoming solo show in April. I needed this first week to get organized (well, sort of) and plan out my course of action. Planning is a good thing, however, as is usually the case, I get excited as I begin to brainstorm and usually have to begin or I lose that energy. I've already completed two paintings and am very pleased with both. Yesterday I took a break from the larger works and did some plein air painting. We've been having very warm temps in the 50's and 60's and I almost didn't get a parking space at the beach yesterday! This morning when I took the dog down to the beach someone was acutually inthe water!!

Review by Bret Love @ allmusic.comPuddle of Mudd's story is every struggling musician's dream come true: armed with a fake backstage pass, frontman Wes Scantlin snuck the band's demo to a Limp Bizkit security guy at a show in their native Kansas City, and less than one year later finds his group's debut album the first release on Fred Durst's new label. Thankfully, Come Clean sounds nothing like Limp Bizkit, but Puddle of Mudd's aggro-rock sound is indistinguishable from every other Alice in Chains- and Tool-influenced band to come along in the past few years. The opening, "Control," milks the loud/quiet formula that's been done to death since Nirvana's demise, but adds some interesting stop-time changes during the break, while the acoustic balladry of "Drift & Die" sounds so familiar, Layne Staley should get a portion of the songwriting royalties. In the end, this isn't a terrible debut album, but it doesn't really bring any original ideas to the nü-rock table. And frankly
Ok, how much do I love the awesomely cute rainboots by Plueys? I mean, come on! They're covered in polka dots for crying out loud.
