      PSSST.... the Aussies are coming.
The great thing about horseracing is its ever-moving kaleidoscope of activities, and the fact that new history is being made every day. The arrival of new horses at Summerhill always generates its own excitement, but the temperature rises to new levels when something special happens. Today is one of those days, as we had sons and daughters of some of the worlds pre-eminent stallions alight from

      Pssst, Tony Parker: Look Here!
Posted on May 14th, 2008 1:43 pmDuring the San Antonio Spurs vs. New Orleans Hornets playoff game last night, one New Orleans fan came up with a creative way to distract point guard Tony Parker:This Eva Longoria cut-out must have worked: Parker’s Spurs lost to the Hornets, 101-79. They’re down three games to two in the series.

Pssst...Your Hands Need Proper Skin Care Too!
Whenever you think about skincare, your mind immediately focuses on your face. Well, you are not alone in this; the truth is many people concentrate their beauty regimen solely on their faces while they fail to take care of the other areas of their skin. It is as if the skin located on the back, arms, or hands is resistant to the effects of time and toxins in the environment. This mistaken belief holds special significance when it comes to the hands. Chances are, you are among those who believe that their hands are doing perfectly OK as long as they are able to move the fingers or clench and grab objects. But the truth is that the skin on your hands needs the same, if not more enhanced attention if you want to maintain your youthful appearance. Your neglect for the skin on your hands wil

      Pssst, Don't Tell PETA
The other night in Physiology lab I experienced the joy of putting goldfish into insulin shock. (Incidentally, goldfish do not enjoy this. They tend to spaz out and jump out of their insulin filled beaker.) The point was for my lab partner Lora and I to perform some fishy medical intervention and drop Goldie into glucose water at the last minute, thereby saving some lives. After turning in our lab reports on the victimization scientific experiment of the fish, the instructor asked if anyone wanted to adopt some of them. We had one tank in the house, empty in Sporty’s room. We had planned on getting him a betta, so I text Mr. Honeybell at work - Should I adopt the lab experiment goldfish? He has the idea that maybe Goofy would like them. His exact words were “We’ll probably kill

Pssst: McCain is a Campaign Finance Hypocrite. Pass it On.
FireDogLake has 29,494 cosigners to the complaint against John McCain with the FEC, well on the way to their goal of 30,000. If you haven't signed on, please do -- they'll be delivering the signatures on Monday. If you aren't aware of what the stink is about - McCain authored the same campaign finance laws he has broken. According to the law, he is now a criminal.read more | digg story

Pssst! Wanna Buy a Desert for a few Thousand Dollars?
(*edited* to add that this afternoon they seemed to have been informed of their shoddy editing work and have fixed their error.) By accident (or frustration) I have something to blog about that I didn't intend to, but darn it, it's just so stupid that someone has to point it out. I got the kids off to school, a load of laundry going and got a half cup of coffee in me. I then settled down the

      Pssst, Wanna Bug a Cat?
It's been a slow, boring evening so what better way to liven it up than to bug a cat!!I wonder how many cat lovers I've lost on this "bug a cat" series?Probably about the same number as dog lovers that I've gained. I'm betting that there are more dog lovers than cat lovers. So if I'm right I'm ahead of the game!!Allan

Pssst! Hey Girls... are you at work? Bored?
Here I am, back again. I'm at work, shhhh! But I have my own laptop with me today. It's a quiet day and I'm finished with all my projects for the day with another hour left to go. In other words... a little bored. I've surfed some blogs, checked email, gotten in a slump after surfing for homes I can't afford on realty sites, and printed off a hundred new recipes to try. Ha ha. So, how about

I'm at work, but I have my own laptop with me today. It's a quiet day and I'm finished with all my projects for the day with another hour left to go. Are you bored? Are you at home or work and you've 'come to the end of the internet' and need something fun to do? Dress Up Games.Ok, in my household my 11 year old is constantly playing with these online, and now I know why! A little addicting. LOL.A Valentine Queen

      *PSSST* Have you noticed?
A couple of weeks ago I noticed an unknown referrer in my site stats that feedburner provides so I followed the link and came across a site that looked remarkably like GVs but only it wasn't GVs. I tried going to the main page but only got a message to "move along" and I haven't seen anyone on GVs mentioning it yet.I haven't said anything about it but I've finally have gotten too curious to keep it to myself. Have you noticed a website with a strange name referring people to you blog?I seem to recall that Josh (of GW) saying in a thread in the Suggestions Forum that they had a couple of cool things in store for us GWers come spring and I'm wondering if this "new" website is part of that. But I've done a search to see if the "owners" of this new site are the same as the "owners" of GW are but that information isn't available.Hmmm. Do you know anything? And if you did would you tell me? I hope it's nothing nefarious.:)Garden Blogger in Chicago
